Story
Hello World! My foster mom for the last 14 months named me Sundae. I was a pregnant teen when I had my first litter and got abandoned in an alleyway after the litter was born. I was found and rescued with my daughter Luna and then put into a temporary foster home. Those people love us tremendously, but the mom is super allergic and her immune system has been compromised, so I must find a new home. Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153m what they would call the perfect cat. I know my name and come around if you mention me in conversation. I donâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t need too much physical affection but once I know youâ&#194&#128&#194&#153re a safe person I do enjoy pets. My daughter Luna likes to eat first so when our food shoots out of the automatic feeder I walk slowly to it and patiently wait my turn. Thankfully my foster mom got me fixed so I wouldn't have anymore litters ever again. My foster mom suspects I was mistreated in my first home because Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153m skittish and a super people pleaser. I do not like to be a burden and will never do anything wrong. I am perfect at using the litter box and if I dart outside, (hardly ever happens) itâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s usually to figure out what happened to my daughter. I stay under the car and have no sense of adventure at all. Bath time and getting my nails trimmed aren't too bad with me, I do try to escape but Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153m used to it. I will play with cat toys and run around the house with my daughter sometimes but mostly I love looking out the window. Our neighbors play peek a boo with me and have approached our foster mom with compliments on how friendly I am. Last but not least, I have big kind green eyes. Please help me find my new home! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Sundae, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
Meet the handsome, affectionate, couch potato QUESO! He is 5 years old, 11lbs, gray American shorthair with a gentle personality. We adopted Queso from a local shelter 3 years ago. He was brought in with a bunch of other gray cats that were a part of a hoarding situation. It took him some time to be healthy enough to get adopted but his cute face and well behaved demeanor made him an easy choice. Queso is up to date on his Rabies vaccination, is neutered, and is microchipped. Queso is a very chill cat and has never bitten, scratched, or hissed at anyone. He has never been around other dogs, cats, or children while in our care however in the shelter and in the past he has been around other cats. Queso is not very active but he loves crinkle toys and will play fetch with you! He also loves puzzle toys so he can get a treat! Queso will gladly sit on your lap and snuggle up real close on the couch or in bed! His favorite spot at night is right next to you! He loves his owners very much and is shy to new people but will quickly warm up to them and will always accept head scratches. Queso is partially litter box trained due to his separation anxiety. If you are gone for long periods of time (more than 12 hours) or if a big change is happening around the house he might have an accident outside of the litterbox. However with a consistent schedule he does very well. He has never urinated outside of the litterbox only defacate. We are rehoming Queso because our schedule is very busy and we do not have the time to give Queso the attention he deserves. Quesoâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s ideal home would be a loving, home-body that maybe owns a second cat. We believe that with a consistent schedule and maybe a feline friend would make him happier and less anxious. This well behaved, friendly cat is deserving of the purrfect forever home. Apply to adopt Queso today! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Queso, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Snuggly pair available separately or (preferably) together: Boots (female) and Charlie (male) are a bonded, indoor-only pair whose mom and dad recently moved into a nursing home. These sweet kitties have been very well cared for. They are about 13 years old and are healthy, loving, declawed, microchipped, spayed (Boots) and neutered (Charlie). They take thyroid medicine (very inexpensive on Chewy) each day with their food and are very easy to care for and sociable. Charlie is friendly and outgoing, and Boots can be shy at first but warms up to new people quickly and is very sweet. They enjoy cuddling together or on a warm lap. This easy-going, low-maintenance pair are good with small-ish dogs, having grown up with their Havanese â&#194&#128&#194&#156brotherâ&#194&#128&#194&#157 Tucker, who passed away earlier this year. They have never lived with young kids, but have been sweet to the grandkids when they visited. Please help us find a good home for them where they can be safe, loved, and bring joy to others. They've had a lot of change recently and just want to find their new snuggle buddies. Meet Nasa ð&#194&#159&#194&#144¾ Nasa is a sweet, gentle cat who is approximately 7 years old, weighs about 10 pounds, and is an American Shorthair. He loves playing fetchâ&#194&#128&#194&#148you throw the ball, and he proudly brings it back to you. Nasa is also very talkative. He enjoys meowing to communicate, and will often lie down on his own and show you his belly, inviting you to pet him. Nasa does not do well in enclosed or confined spaces. When he feels trapped, he becomes extremely anxious and will meow continuously and scratch at the door. He loves quiet companionship and prefers to stay close to his person. He often sleeps near your head on the bed and enjoys snuggling close. His meow is soft and pleasant, and he truly loves being held. When I pick him up, he wraps his front paws around my neck and presses his belly against me, like a child holding on tightly. He naturally makes you want to protect him. Because Nasa forms strong bonds with people, he does not get along well with other cats. He expresses stress and unhappiness by marking territory with urine or feces. We currently have four cats, and none of the others have litter box issues. We have tried everything to help Nasa feel more comfortableâ&#194&#128&#194&#148his favorite treats, extra playtime, more cuddles, and calming spraysâ&#194&#128&#194&#148but he continues to mark indoors when living with other cats. Eventually, we had no choice but to keep him in the backyard. He desperately wanted to come inside, and I let him back in many times. Unfortunately, each time he resumed marking indoors, and I had to place him back outside. He would stand by the glass door, watching the house with longing and heartbreaking eyes. Seeing him like that always breaks my heart. Nasa needs to find his forever home where he can remain inside where he is safe. Nasa is in excellent health. He is fully vaccinated (rabies and FVRCP), neutered, and microchipped. He does not require special medical care, but he does need something very important: exclusive love. Nasa cannot live with other cats and must be the only pet in the household. If you are considering adopting him, please be sure you can give him a home where he is the sole cat. He is not fond of cat carriers and becomes vocal during car rides, crying throughout the journey unless he is held and feels secure. However, he has excellent litter box manners and always carefully covers his waste. Nasa is a deeply affectionate, gentle cat who needs to feel loved and chosen. I hope he can find a home with someone who will truly cherish him. My greatest wish is that his future is filled with love, safety, and happiness. If at any point you feel unable to care for him properly, please return him to me. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Nasa, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Mochi is an 11 month old kitty who never really had her kitten kindergarten, so we've been working on that in our group. She is a stout girl, built more like a British Short hair rather than the American SH cat but her face is more like the American type. She is friendly, very playful, and sweet. She is up to date on her vaccines and spayed. Her adoption fee is $100.
