Story
We live in the country and cats have been showing up at our house. They were hanging out near the barn but with the bitter cold weather they ventured closer to the house and we started feeding them so they wouldn't starve. We have indoor cats so they cannot come in our house. They are not afraid of our dogs, but they are driving our dogs crazy when they see the cats on the walkway outside the fence. It is creating tension between the dogs. These cats are friendly. The solid black one LOVES to be petted and lays in your lap. They bother deserve better than living outside in the cold. We have cared for them for a while but with the issues their presence creates for the dogs they absolutely must find a home! I do not want to take them to the shelter but if I can't find an adopter, I may have no other choice. The little black one would love to lay in your lap while you read or watch TV. And she purrs so loud! Please consider adopting one of these kitties.

Story
Buttons is a cuddly, playful, and loving cat. He was adopted when he was 6 weeks old. It took him about 3 weeks to fully adjust to his home. He loves a comfortable spot to lay and prefers it to be up high. :) He lives for body rubs!! Whenever he wakes up he likes a session of rubs and hugs. Buttons loves to play with his feather stick. He will wake me up by dragging it towards me so I can hear the bell or he will stand on top of it and rub my leg to signal it’s play time. He hasn’t been around too many men, so that could definitely be an adjustment. He hates baths, but loves to be in the bathroom with you. He is the sweetest cat I’ve ever met. I wish I could be with him more and really give him the love he deserves. I hope the family that gets to know him will take him in as family to love and be loved.

Story
Calypso is a lovely white and gray 2-year old cat with an independent streak. She’d thrive as the only pet in a calm, adult-only home with an experienced cat person who understands shy, sensitive cats. She would be happiest in a quiet home with no kids or other pets. Fully vetted and spayed, Calypso just needs the right environment to feel secure and loved. We look forward to finding the right home for her!

Story
Balto is a big handsome boy (12 lbs, but LONG), 4 years old, who always gets oohs and ahs from vets about his unusual markings. Balto loves to go to the vet, settles right into the scale to relax, and purrs so loudly they have to distract him to hear through the stethoscope. He had some difficulties with his late littermate--he used to gang up on her when they were little, and then she became very dominant with him later, and he became a little anxious. Mostly though, they co-existed without trouble: once, she got shut into a closet, and he tried very hard to direct us to where she was. He loves to sit in my lap: I think he likes to be a mama's boy. He hasn't been around children much. At night, if we let him sleep on our bed, we put a towel at the foot of the bed and show him where to lie down, and he stays right there. We occasionally get a mouse in our basement and he is a good mouser. We plan to move to another country and cannot take him with us.

Story
Archer is sweet, healthy boy. He loves to cuddle up and sit on laps. We think he would do well with an adult household where he can be the baby. He's had a hard time adjusting to a house with small children and just doesn't get the attention he needs.
