Story
Stormy is a lively little girl, approximately 3 years old and full of vibrant energy. An active lifestyle is a must for this sweet girl. She would definitely prefer to be an an exclusive fur child with no other dog to share your affection with. She has energy to spare so a family with older kids who can keep her entertained would be ideal. She is the perfect size to take along anywhere you go! Need a hiking or camping buddy? Look no further! Trying to keep up the quarantine quads? She will keep you on your toes! We have high hopes for this diamond in the rough. With patience, love and a consistent training schedule, she is sure to shine!

Story
Rowdy is an older lady, perfect for any occasion. She is just as happy chilling on the couch as she is playing and being silly. She loves water and especially loves playing with the hose. She loves swimming and enjoys her trips to the river for a dip. She’s a very pretty gal but her cute head tilts are her most endearing quality. Would you just look at that cute face? Her chill demeanor and short stature make her the perfect go anywhere, anytime kinda gal. Rowdy may seem shy at first but she is nothing but love once she is comfortable. This adorable little lady would love to have you all to herself because sharing isn’t exactly her strong suit. She would be best with older kids. This beautiful princess has been with us since October of 2017 and it breaks our hearts to even think she may leave but, because of her being picky about dog friends, a life in a kennel is no way for her to spend her golden years. She is about 7-8 years old and has lot of life left in her which we wholeheartedly believe she must get to enjoy to the fullest. Don’t you agree? Are you going to be the family that completes her? Submit an application and come meet her to find out! Please note: All current AND previous pets (cats and dogs) MUST be up to date on vaccines and be spayed/neutered. Please check with your landlord, if you rent, for breed and weight restrictions before applying. We do not allow visitors unless you are an approved adopter. Story
Adonis is the definition of a gentle giant. He may look tough and buff but he secretly loves to cuddle and is pretty sure he is a lap dog. He is very trainable and working on leash manners. He loves his treats, which can be a great motivator with training. Adonis is a rescued stray so his age is not known but estimated at 4 yrs old. Adonis can be good with other dogs but gets excited and forgets how big he is, which could be intimidating to them. He would be ideal as an only pet. With his human friends, he is a pretty low energy guy so one walk a day in between couch cuddles and naps would suit him just fine. Adonis is happiest when he is hanging out with his people!

Story
We’d like to shine a light on a couple of adult large breed dogs dear to us with another small, local rescue Boxers Mutts & Wiggle Butts Rescue Please help share their dogs, give them a follow, and show them some of the amazing support you show us.❤️🐾❤️ First, we have Sookie! We first learned of Sookie 8 months ago. A property owner saw her and another dog thrown out of a pickup truck abandoned in the orchards. The man admitted to shooting at her several times. She was skin and bones when found. Unable to take her in ourselves, we offered to sponsor her food during her time in rescue. At the time we had donations from The Honest Kitchen and that was the best food to help her to gain weight and get back to being healthy. @boxersmuttsnwigglebuttsrescue have done an amazing job getting Sookie healthy and happy again. Sookie is a boxer, 3.5 years old. She LOVES belly rubs but she’s no couch potato, she’d prefer being your running buddy. She knows sit, wait, come, crate and potty trained. She’s great with kids and is gentle with toys. Reach out to her rescue to learn more! 🐾❤️ Get to know Sookie and we are sure she will win your heart. Here is a little bit about her: * LOVES people, adults and kids * very high energy * needs to be the only dog. Not dog/cat friendly * knows sit * knows wait * comes when called * crate trained * is soft with toys and learning fetch * Loooves belly rubs

Story
Annie needs to be an only dog, she recently got into altercations with a few other dogs in our home. She is amazing with kids and people, she LOVES toys and to go swimming. It breaks my heart to rehome her but unfortunately I can no longer keep her, she has to be in the room most of the time and it’s not fair to her anymore. I have tried for over a year to try and correct this behavior and it’s not working.

Story
Oliver was found in the orchards near Arvin, injured and emaciated with a throat full of foxtails. He was initially fear-aggressive towards other dogs. He has been with us for a year and oh what a different dog he is! He has gone from 25 to 65 lbs, loves snuggles, short walks, and just hanging out with people. He is now housed close to other dogs without issue and has done well with supervised group walks and playtime. Oliver makes us laugh everyday with his stoic stares and dramatic sad face when returned to his kennel. He is such a sweetheart and tries really hard to be a good boy. Because of his past trauma and breed-specific behavior tendencies, we are recommending Oliver only be adopted to someone familiar with the breed. We hope he finds his lifelong best friend soon!
