Story
Sex: FemaleBreed: Boxer xEstimated Date of Birth : 09/14/2022Sometimes 2nd chances don’t work out the way you want them to and sometimes dogs can no longer stay in their adopted homes. But dogs like Laika are resilient and they will bond again they just need their chance to meet new humans to care for. Laika has so much love to give. She lives for human companionship. She thrives in a home setting so adjusting to our ranch environment has been a little hard for her. Thankfully her time in doggie daycare while adopted has given her the positive social skills she needed to live with dozens of other dogs in our rescue ranch setting but still Laika wants her own home. Laika started her journey with us in 2022 as a tiny 6 week old underage puppy. She and her littermates were all almost identical in looks and had all been dumped when a Good Samaritan brought them into the shelter. We pulled the whole litter and they all quickly came down with parvo. Every puppy was a fighter and every puppy survived under the medical care of our vets. Laika finally found an adoptive family at 4 months old. That family sadly a year later had their own medical complications and Laika came back into our care. This sweet girl has been through a lot but she’s ready to start over and find a new home. During her time with us we have discovered that she suffers from a seizure disorder. Thankfully seizures in dogs are easily controlled with medication and our vet has gotten her started on the meds she will now take for life. Laika has so much love to give we are hopeful her disorder doesn’t deter future adopters. It really is so easy to treat and Laika deserves to have a family to love imperfections and all. If they’re looking for a dog friendly walking buddy who’s great on leash, if you’re looking for a super affectionate girl who has some house skills from her time adopted Laika just might be the dog for you. Please give her the chance to fall in love with a family again. If you are interested in adopting a Marley's Mutts please fill out an application at http://marleysmutts.org/adoptionprocess/

Story
Sex: MaleBreed: Boxer xEstimated Date of Birth : 01/05/2025Clover is a happy-go-lucky, affectionate pup who’s ready to find his forever home! This sweet boy loves people and isn’t shy about showing it — whether it’s leaning in for pets, giving hugs, or just staying close by your side. He’s a big fan of fetch (even if he’s still working on his skills ), and his playful energy makes him such a fun companion. More than anything, Clover loves attention and will happily soak up all the affection you’re willing to give. We’re still getting a better sense of how Clover does with other dogs, but so far he’s been friendly with most pups he’s met — including Rowdy — so he may do well with a canine buddy. If you’re looking for a loving, friendly dog who will bring joy, laughter, and lots of cuddles into your life, Clover might just be your perfect match If you are interested in adopting a Marley's Mutts please fill out an application at http://marleysmutts.org/adoptionprocess/

Story
Angelica is an estimated 8 years old and 49 pounds. She is on 2 pain prescriptions for her severe arthritis and has had surgery for some growth removals. When we picked her up from the shelter she was still emaciated and healing from a deep wound. She is now in good health and at a proper weight. She gets along with other dogs even though she doesn't play as much as some. She does better out of a crate so that she can stretch her legs whenever needed. She can catch on to a potty routine if consistent and given the time to adjust to the new schedule. She loves to lay down next to you and would follow you around if you let her. She's a sweetheart that likes to trot around the yard and roll around on her back in the grass. Angelica is available for adoption to someone or a family that wants to care for her and love on her for the rest of her life. Story
•Meet Harper••• • She is approximately 6 years old • weighs about 65lbs. •She is very active and enjoys water, walks and hikes. • Treadmill trained •She is crate trained and does well in the house. ••smaller animals are not recommended. We call her Happy Harper. She has a very bubbly personality and loves to do anything fun... swimming is definitely one of her strong loves. Once she knows you she loves you but not in a smushy way. She loves pets and kisses and definitely wants to be where you are. But she is not needy etc... give her something to play with or play ball etc with her and she’s happy. She is crate trained and does very well on a treadmill. A few minutes a day or a couple days a week. Harper is very pretty with beautiful gold eyes. She loves, people, car rides and adventures. She loves water. Her favorite thing is to swim with her human. The good thing about Harper, •she is intelligent and catches on quickly. •Loves to please and will work for rewards. • Very athletic and would make a great running companion. Plenty of energy to keep up. Harper is ready for her new home. The adoption fee is $200 and includes being vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. We prefer she is not placed in a household with smaller dogs and cats. She is good with children but does not like sudden quickness in her direction so we think she needs to be in a home with children who are good with dogs, 10 and older. for any questions or a meet and greet please email haltrescue@gmail.com with Harper in the subject line
