Story
Spot is located with an out of state foster in Port Orchard, Washington. He is a healthy, intelligent 60 pound, 12 to 18 month old, American Bulldog. He's still got youthful lankiness to him and likely isn't done filling out. We rescued him in early March and while he's been in foster he has shown that he is house trained and understands basic commands. He handles well and can be brushed, lifted, bathed, have his paws touched and nails trimmed. He's a curious boy who's very receptive to training. He can be encouraged with a caring hand, verbal praise and of course, treats. Spot still has some of his wiggly puppy exuberance when meeting new people. He's had positive, friendly interactions with young teenagers. He has not been tested with young children. Most likely Spot had not been socialized with other dogs prior to us taking him on. He has shown avoidance on leash as well as overstimulation when confined. He has also shown jealousy toward other dogs when he favors a person. He doesn't seem reactive towards dogs in all situations. However, he would do best as the only dog or with an adopter that is experienced in this behavior. This sweet boy has a lot of potential. Story
Angelica is an estimated 8 years old and 49 pounds. She is on 2 pain prescriptions for her severe arthritis and has had surgery for some growth removals. When we picked her up from the shelter she was still emaciated and healing from a deep wound. She is now in good health and at a proper weight. She gets along with other dogs even though she doesn't play as much as some. She does better out of a crate so that she can stretch her legs whenever needed. She can catch on to a potty routine if consistent and given the time to adjust to the new schedule. She loves to lay down next to you and would follow you around if you let her. She's a sweetheart that likes to trot around the yard and roll around on her back in the grass. Angelica is available for adoption to someone or a family that wants to care for her and love on her for the rest of her life.
