Story
Adoption fee fully sponsored by Harthill Marketing Services in memory of Sabrina Harthill From her loving Foster Home: Hi future forever family, my name is Miami, and I've been living with a foster mom, but I'm ready to find my forever home and give you all the love I have (and trust me-it's a lot!). I'm a pretty low-maintenance girl. I love cuddling on the couch, belly rubs, peanut butter, and short walks (just a couple blocks, tops!). I also really enjoy chewing on my toys, meeting new human friends, and snoozing on the floor. Car rides? Count me in. And when it's time for bed or when I first wake up, I'll snuggle up close to you-my favorite way to start and end the day. I'm also really good on walks! I like to stick right by your side and take things at a calm pace. If we pass other dogs, I might get a little curious, but I don't lunge or bark-I'll keep walking with just a little encouragement. I have a few favorite potty spots I like to use, and once I find them, I'm pretty quick about it! When I'm excited, I get the zoomies and do a full happy dance. And when I'm especially happy, I do little jumps with my front paws that my foster says are super cute. Sometimes I even like to "talk" a little and show off my voice. I eat best when my food has some wet food and peanut butter mixed in. I'm great in my crate and often go in on my own. If you try to put me in, I might do a little dance first, but with a bit of encouragement, I settle in easily. Baths aren't my favorite, but if you hold my leash, I'll be a good girl-especially because I love getting dried off with a towel. I might be a little anxious at first, but! warm up quickly. Once I do. I'll be your loyal. loving snuggle buddy. I have so much love to give, and I can't wait to find someone to give it all to. Love, Miami Meet Miami! Originally from Southern California, this 3-year-old gal made her way to Chico, ready to start her next chapter with a heart full of love to give. Miami’s enthusiasm for life is contagious! She adores belly rubs, lives for affectionate moments with her person, and when the mood strikes, she’ll break out into her daily dose of zoomies just to keep things exciting. She would thrive in a loving family setting but prefers to be the only pet in the home. After all, she wants all the snuggles and attention for herself! Here are just a few ways our staff would describe Miami: Affectionate, Loving, hops of joy, loves belly rubs, only pet household, Potty trained, Playful, Snuggle Bug. Miami wants to trade emotional support with you as soon as possible! All animals adopted from Butte Humane Society are evaluated by a veterinarian, spayed or neutered, provided with vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, and receive heartworm, flea/tick preventatives prior to adoption. Story
To apply or see more of Hammy, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2023/11/18/hammy I'm Hammy and the humans say I’m a sensational boy…whatever that means. I was rescued from Solano County Animal Control, and life has been looking up ever since! First things first, I'm a pro on the leash making me the perfect companion for those leisurely strolls. Oh, and did I mention balls? I'm head over paws IN LOVE with them! If you're on the hunt for a dog with a genuine passion for balls, well, you just found me! I'm not just a ball enthusiast. People big and small? They’re all pals in my book. I also get along with my doggy foster sibling. While I’m fine living with other dogs, I don’t really get the whole playing thing so if you’re looking for a rowdy playmate for your dog, that may not be me. Now, here's the thing – I’m a little embarrassed, but I've got a bit of hair loss on my backside. I’ve been reassured that it will improve with some TLC. If you think you can welcome me (along with all my balls for fetchin’), I would be so pleased. I can’t wait to meet ya! Story
Heartbreak and Hope: Meet Rubble Rubble's story is one of love, loss, and resilience. This senior dog has known only one home and family for his entire life, spending his days in the familiarity of their yard. But life took a cruel turn when, at just 2 years old, Rubble lost sight in one eye. And last year, he lost sight in his other eye, leaving him in a world of darkness. With his world turned upside down, Rubble's family made the heartbreaking decision to surrender him to the shelter. Struggling to adapt to his blindness and coping with the loss of his home, Rubble found himself at risk for euthanasia due to his age and disability. But then, a ray of hope shone through the clouds of despair. A kind foster home opened their doors and offered Rubble a second chance at life. Yet, despite this glimmer of hope, Rubble remains heartbroken and disoriented. The loss of his home and family weighs heavily on his soul, leaving him longing for the love and security he once knew. His blindness only adds to his confusion and vulnerability. Rubble needs a special someone—a compassionate soul who is home all day to ease his separation anxiety and provide the comfort and companionship he craves. A home with no other animals would be ideal, allowing Rubble to navigate his new world without the added stress of other pets. If you have the heart and home Rubble so desperately needs, please consider opening your doors to him. Let's show this resilient senior dog that love knows no bounds and that brighter days lie ahead. ❤️ Excited to find your new family member at Wags and Whiskers? Story
Goliath is a cuddle bug. He has a moderate energy level and tends to have short bursts of energy where 5-15 minutes of play or a walk will help him settle for the next few hours. Goliath would thrive as either a solo dog or a friend to a larger or high-energy dog. He currently lives with a senior female who lets him know when he is overwhelming her, and he listens very well. He's house-trained and knows most common commands. He also will go in his crate voluntarily when we need to leave him alone. He really is a great dog, and we love him so much. We just aren't in the position to care for another dog. However, when his previous owner came to us saying she'd have to surrender him, we didn't want this sweet boy to end up in a shelter. We also have a DNA and health test that we can provide for anyone interested.
