Story
My daughter fell in love with khaleesi while visiting the SPCA in Old New Castle in 2020. She has been nothing but a loving mush ever since. (6 months later we found out she has a tumor in her bladder-has not grown). She never barks. The only times we have ever heard her bark was when she was protecting somebody in the family and even then it was only one singular bark. She absolutely loves people and has a natural curiosity for other animals. Her worst character trait is that she thinks she is a lapdog. She thrives on attention and cuddles. Now that she is 12 years old, she does require additional attention and pee breaks. Over the last 6 years, our family has changed drastically between deployments & new additions & we simply just don’t have the time to offer her that she needs. Being that she is an older dog, we would love for her to be w/ somebody that needs a companion by their side and can provide her with the best love and care for her remaining years. Someone with a large yard.

Story
Looking to add some spice to your life, come adopt Pepper! Pepper is a deaf pittie, who according to her previous home is leashed and crate trained. She’s a higher energy but nervous girl, due to not being as aware to her surroundings, she’s not a fan of small fast moving things. We’d like that she go into an adult only home, or a family with older kids who are able to take the time to understand her quirks with being deaf. But once Pepper feels comfortable in her environment and with her people, she is a little stocky cannonball of energy and love, and always down to run around with her toys. If Pepper sounds like the right fit, come meet her today! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Story
Meet Ellie !! Ellie is the sweetest girl! She is approx 3 - 4 years young. Ellie was rescued as a critically ill pregnant momma dog. We were able to save Ellie but unfortunately none of her puppies survived. Ellie adores people, children, and tortoises too! Ellie loves her pup cups when she’s out and about in the car! Ellie is house and crate trained and loves going for walks and car rides!! Ellie can be selective about which dogs she would like to have as friends, . therefore she would prefer to be the only dog in the home. Ellie absolutely deserves to be someone’s princess and receive all of their love and attention. To meet Ellie please apply on www.StrayNetwork.org
