Story
This perky little girl came to us, with a litter of puppies, by way of Lee County Domestic Animal Services. We pull dogs and cats from LCDAS somewhat regularly, as sadly, they can’t help but run out of room often. Sarah came to us testing positive for Heartworm disease. As always, we fully treated her, and she is now available for adoption. Sarah definitely takes some time to get to know most people, particularly men. She is very sweet once she gets used to you, but will definitely require multiple visits on the part of a potential adopter. Why not come out and meet this little girl? Look at that smile! Zero was surrendered to us by his owner, as they didn’t have enough time to pay him the attention he deserved. This is always a sad situation. But their loss is ARC’s and maybe YOUR gain! This sweet giant gets along well with other dogs, children and does very well meeting new people. We’d love to find a great home for this sweet guy. Story
This sweet girl came to us by way of Lee County Domestic Animal Services, as they were running out of space. We often pull dogs from other shelters that don’t have the luxury of time that we do at ARC. Charity is affectionate, playful and very energetic. She is also very strong and can climb fences. She has a prey drive so she cannot go to a home with cats or small dogs. We’re looking for a younger, very active family for this sweet girl. Why not make an appointment to come and meet her today!   May 2019May 7, 2024, 10:11 am

Story
Unfortunately, Gaston’s story is another that might make you a little sad. He came to us with a bunch of furry littermates back in 2019. We found him what we thought at the time was his forever home. Fast forward four years later, and this poor little guy was returned to ARC. People aren’t always prepared to train and raise a puppy, and that was the case with Gaston. Did you know we offer behavioral training with every adoption? We want nothing more than for our animals to find a true forever home! In any case, we’d love for this playful, affectionate guy to get a second chance in a loving home. Why not come out and meet this handsome boy? Beethoven is such a lovable boy. He found his way to ARC by way of Clewiston Animal Control, as they were running low on space. He loves to be cuddled and receive pets, and seems to have an endless amount of love to give. This sweet boy is hearing-impaired and will definitely require a family with a little patience. He needs someone who’ll give him a safe place to call his own. Why not complete an application today so you can meet this amazing pup. Story
Location: Tampa, FL Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier Age: Young—appx 2-3. y.o. —Shots up-to-date, neutered, microchipped —Currently training for dog socialization. he is doing well! No experience with cats yet. Meet stunning Prince, a Staffordshire Terrier looking for his forever home! Currently training with Cash’s Bullys K9 Elite in Tampa! Adoption INCLUDES training and transition assistance from his trainer to help ensure success in his new home. Prince was scheduled to be euthanized due to space when we received a call at 6:30 in the morning asking if we could help get him out of Orange County Animal Services 🚨! We were told he was dog reactive but the shelter is not always indicative of a dog’s typical behavior. Prince is being trained with other dogs now and doing awesome thanks to Cashs Bullys ❤️. Prince is young, probably 2-3 years old (we can provide a breed and genetic age test to his adopter), and has been with us for six months. He is overdue to settle into a forever home! Poor guy spent over two months in boarding at the height of the surrender and rescue crisis when we could not find an appropriate foster. Thanks to our rescue and network friends Sanctuary To The Maxx Inc for connecting us to Cash’s Bully’s who took Prince in and worked with us on training, allowing us to make payments. If you can provide Prince with the love and care he deserves, we’d love for you to meet him! If you can donate to his training and boarding fund, all donations are tax deductible and no gift is too small to make a difference. Text or call us at 407–620–6865.

Story
Adoption fee is $50 during our Bissell Empty the Shelters event 5/1 – 5/15!! Application must be submitted to secure an appointment!Ernie is a VERY well behaved and well trained boy who unfortunately needs to find a new forever home. He came to Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue after Hurricane Ian in pretty bad shape, and was adopted into a loving home. Unfortunately he can no longer stay there and they are heartbroken but there's not another option. Ernie is currently staying with them while we try to find a new home for him. Here is what they say about Ernie: "Ernie is the ultimate cuddle companion with a heart of gold and a wagging tail that never quits. He is a love bug through and through. Despite his ruff past and although he may not have hit it off with our other male dog, Ernie's affection for humans, big and small, knows no bounds. Ernie is a pro at basic commands and is house trained to perfection. He is up to date on all of his vaccines, neutered and is up to date with preventatives." Ernie is probably a Boxer/American Bulldog mix and gets along well with the female dog in the home. He's also very good with children. Ernie would do best with a fenced year where he can run, play and stretch his legs! We guess Ernie is about 2 and a half years old and is 55 lbs of snuggle bug!Ernie's $150 fee is being reduced to $50 and includes up to date shots and preventatives, neuter and all of the care that he received to prepare him to be your obedient best friend! Please go to www.gofar.dog under "Adopt" to complete an application. You won't be sorry! If you have questions, email my rescue at adoptions@gofar.dog.
