The angels at GOFAR heard about me and came and rescued me.I appear to be a boxer and/or mastiff mix and weigh approximately 60lbs. I am very sweet and well behaved - I think that’s how I got my name! I walk well on leash and follow the pace the volunteers set. I know how to sit and take treats gently. I really don’t like messing in my kennel; as long as we can work together to set a routine/schedule, I should do fine in the house. I am friendly with other dogs and did well in play groups with larger dogs - my rescue thinks I'd be best suited for homes without smaller high energy dogs. I don’t seem to mind the rescue cats I see on my walks! I have such a gentle and easy going personality, that the rescue thinks I would be fine in a family with children. I am looking for my furever family- someone that will love and care for me the same way I will for them. Could it be you?My $250 adoption fee is now zero thanks to a generous donor and includes all of the medical care I received, vet exams, spay and heartworm test (negative), up to date vaccines, deworming, and microchip - all already done. She’s independent, stubborn, and very much knows what she wants—this is a dog with opinions. She has good leash manners and does best with calm, respectful handling. While Oakley isn’t immediately affectionate, she can be sweet with someone who’s willing to give her time, patience, and consistency. Once trust is built, her softer (and slightly goofy) side starts to show—especially if you discover her favorite thing: being scratched with a toilet brush, which she absolutely loves. Oakley is looking for an experienced, understanding home that appreciates a strong personality and is willing to work for that loving, cuddly side. She may not be a lap dog, but for the right person, Oakley will be a uniquely rewarding companion.

Hello- my name is Acorn! I was rescued with several other dogs from a property where our owner was no longer physically able to care for us. Thankfully Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue took us and provided the general and medical care we needed to be ready for forever home. While I am still a little shy, I warm up very quickly once I know you- especially if you have some good treats! I am estimated at 9 months old as of the end of January and look like a boxer/bulldog mix.I have been friendly with other dogs here. I’ve only met cats a few times, but they seem okay, too. Due to my background before being rescued, I am looking for someone who will understand my shyness and help me become more confident.
