Hello! My name is Lady. Somehow, I wound up in municipal county animal services place. The angels at GOFAR heard about me and came and rescued me.I appear to be a boxer and/or mastiff mix and weigh approximately 60lbs. I am very sweet and well behaved - I think that’s how I got my name! I walk well on leash and follow the pace the volunteers set. I know how to sit and take treats gently. I really don’t like messing in my kennel; as long as we can work together to set a routine/schedule, I should do fine in the house. I am friendly with other dogs and did well in play groups with larger dogs - my rescue thinks I'd be best suited for homes without smaller high energy dogs. I don’t seem to mind the rescue cats I see on my walks! I have such a gentle and easy going personality, that the rescue thinks I would be fine in a family with children. I am looking for my furever family- someone that will love and care for me the same way I will for them. Could it be you?My $250 adoption fee includes all of the medical care I received, vet exams, spay and heartworm test (negative), up to date vaccines, deworming, and microchip - all already done. Roy thrives on being by your side and loves to play with his toys sharing them generously with others. He knows basic commands like sit, stay although stay can be a bit challenging. Hi I'm Benito! I'm a very sweet, good boy estimated at about a year old and weighing around 45 lbs. I endured a painful past in my short life. I was found lying in a field after being attacked by other animals and needed emergency surgery to piece my ear back together. That is all behind me now and I'm a happy, playful boy now! I am friendly with dogs and people at the rescue and quickly became a volunteer and staff favorite! My one lingering issue is that I tested heartworm-positive and am currently undergoing treatment using the "slow kill" method, which will have to be continued by my adopters by administering oral meds. My rescue will cover the expenses for those medications and retesting until I test negative, which will happen in due time.My $250 adoption fee includes all of the care I needed to get healthy as well as vet exam, up to date vaccines, neuter, deworming, heartworm meds until negative test result and microchip. Hi I'm Sully! I'm 2 years old as of end of October and a very good boy. I was surrendered by my owner who could no longer keep me. Way back in late 2023, my mama landed in the county shelter with me and my 5 siblings when we were just nursing babies. Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue took us in and provided the medical and general care we needed to get strong and healthy for our forever homes. I was adopted and had a nice home for a long time, but they could no longer keep me so I came back to the rescue. I'm house trained and have been good will all of the dogs and volunteers at the rescue. I appear to be a bulldog/bully mix. I'm here now with my old friends, but long for a forever family to go home with. Thankfully Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue took us and provided the general and medical care we needed to be ready for forever home. While I am still a little shy, I warm up very quickly once I know you- especially if you have some good treats!
