Stetson is looking for a family to call his own. He adores people and wants nothing more than to please and be near the ones he loves. He seems to be friendly towards other dogs with similar energy levels and has not been tested with small dogs and cats. Stetson was adopted from us in 2023 and was left in a very upsetting situation. Stetson is now at the Rescue Ranch and is safe now. We want to make sure this boy gets the home he deserves, where he doesn't have to worry about being left behind. This boy deserves a home with a fenced yard, a loving family ( like all dogs should have) and lot's of playtime. He is a sweet boy and just wants someone to love him too. Please meet this boy and give him his FOREVER.Please read the animal bios completely before requesting additional information as we do our best to answer the most frequently ask questions in these bios. All dogs are heartworm negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. All cats are current on vaccines/deworming, and microchipped. We are open 12pm-5pm Sunday-Friday and 10 am-5pm on Saturday, we schedule our last adoption at 4pm everyday to allow our staff enough time to feed and walk dogs. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Please consider the time and commitment it takes to provide the necessary building blocks for these special babies, prior to submitting your application. At approximately 3 years old, Malaya has already survived more than most dogs ever should. She spent part of her life living on the streets of Atlanta alongside a homeless person. When she came to us, she was painfully emaciated, her little body telling the story of hardship and survival. But somehow, through it all, she never lost that sparkle. That twinkle in her eyes is still there. Malaya believes she is the center of someone's universe. She just hasn't found that someone yet. Today, instead of a couch, she's sitting in a kennel. Instead of a lap, she's lying on concrete. Instead of hearing "good girl," she listens to barking dogs and watches people walk past her. And it's breaking her heart. Malaya is fully vetted, housebroken, and desperately craving human companionship. She would thrive as an only dog, though she can make canine friends with slow, proper introductions. OUR LENOARD!! This dog has more personality in one paw than a whole sea full of animals. He makes the staff laugh on a daily basis. He needs his own family to adore. A family that he can shower ALL his love onto. A family that will understand his quirkiness!!! He's about 4, and his face full of scars tells a story, but only one that he knows. We can only use our imagination, which leads us down an angry path. He is dog friendly; he loves to curl up into a cocoon at night on his bed with his blanket.
