He's the very definition of friendly- he likes to say that there are no strangers, just people he hasn't had the pleasure of meeting yet! This boy absolutely adores everyone he meets and is always ready to make new friends, both human and four-legged. Buddy has lots of energy and loves playtime, but he's also a great walking partner with some fairly good leash manners. He'd thrive in a home that can keep up with his fun-loving personality and give him consistent training to help him be his best self. With his big smile, affectionate nature, and playful puppy spirit, Buddy would make a fantastic addition to a family with kids or other animals.Please read the animal bios completely before requesting additional information as we do our best to answer the most frequently ask questions in these bios. All dogs are heartworm negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. All cats are FeLv/FIV negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. We are open 10am-5pm Monday-Saturday, we schedule our last adoption at 4pm everyday to allow our staff enough time to feed and walk dogs. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Please consider the time and commitment it takes to provide the necessary building blocks for these special babies, prior to submitting your application. ROSCOE Roscoe came into our rescue because he had a foster, but then the foster bailed on him :( He now finds himself in boarding unsure of what has happened. Roscoe is fully vetted, and really needs a home where he doesn't need to be walked...he was once tethered (for his entire existence) and doesn’t like a leash, but is learning that it is not harmful. We can only assume that the leash reminds him of his life on a chain and he doesn't like to walk on one....We have used a harness, which is better, and with patience he would be fine. Hi! I am Gemma They also call me Hippo, which is RUDE!! I have curves in ALL the right places!! I am as round as I am tall, is that a problem? I was picked up on 5/21/24, and have been inside a kennel ever since. Even though I should really be in charge of the rescue after this long, I actually prefer to live a life of leisure, and I am looking for that special someone to be my very own ride or die. I really would like to find myself inside a foster home or my forever home ~ that would be much more ideal than in this boarding facility. I am frightened of storms and shake during these pop up spring showers. I really want out of here!!! Buster is an American Staffordshire and German Shepherd mix. 1 of 4 adorable siblings, he was born April 2025 to a very special Mama — a sweet stray who came to us skinny and exhausted from fending for herself. Once she trusted us, a vet visit revealed she was not more than a year old and expecting four pups. She’s been the most loving, gentle mama ever since. Raised in a happy home with their Mama – and Nana’s dog who took on a fatherly role – the pups are well socialized, confident, affectionate, and even get along with cats. Buster is a gentle, sweet boy who loves to have fun - and to sleep! He is neutered, fully vaccinated and won’t need shots until July/Aug 2026. He has been on flea/worm prevention from the start. He’s still being leash trained but is a great learner. We are looking for serious adopters only who understand the commitment of giving a loving, kind, caring home. If this is you, please reach out.
