Story
RoxanaBoxer Female DOB: 1/23/2022Adoption Fee: $200 Roxana was found as a stray with two other dogs and she was picked up by Animal Control. She was completely emaciated and she was taken in by a very kind foster mom! She steadily gained weight and blossomed into a healthier, much happier dog. She's here at the shelter and her sweet, loving personality continues to grow everyday! She loves a good car ride to see all of the beautiful scenery! She is amazing with cats and can be selective with dogs. She would do best in a home as an only dog due to her being protective of her favorite humans. Roxana is Heartworm Positive and will begin treatment in the fall. The cost of this will be covered by the Humane Society. Does Roxana sound like the perfect girl for you? Are you the one with a kind heart to get this girl through? Please come by and meet her and you'll fall in love! Please read the animal bios completely before requesting additional information as we do our best to answer the most frequently ask questions in these bios. In order to adopt one of our animals an application must be submitted and approved. You can find these applications by going to http://humanemorgan.org/index.php?page=adoption ABOUT ADOPTING FROM THE HSMC: The shelter address is 1170 Fairground Rd. Madison, GA 30650. For more information on any of our pets, please feel free to email us at INFO@HUMANEMORGAN.ORG give us a call at 706-343-9977. All dogs are heartworm negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. All cats are FeLv/FIV negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. We are open 10am-5pm Monday-Saturday, we schedule our last adoption at 4pm everyday to allow our staff enough time to feed and walk dogs. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Please consider the time and commitment it takes to provide the necessary building blocks for these special babies, prior to submitting your application. If you have any questions please email us at info@humanemorgan.org and provide name of the animal you are interested in, in the subject line. Thank you, HSMC Staff ADOPTION FEES Adoption Fees may change without notice.  Ammory is a fantastic young girl who will win your heart quickly. She has a sweet underbite and loves cuddles, affection and is great with other dogs.  She is very curious with cats and we suspect she would want to chase them, as she lunges toward them whenever she sees one.  She goes outside for her potty breaks and takes a bath very well, and seems to be a very fast learner!  If you're ready for some wiggly boxer fun, apply for her online at buttsmutts.com!  Spayed and current on her shots, she is ready for a loving home!   ##1830848##

Story
Name: LolliBreed: Boxer/Pit mixSex/Age/Weight: Female, approximately 4 years old, approx. 59 lbsVetting: Spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention, and microchippedHouse trained/Crate Trained: Yes/YesBefore FAR: I was rescued from the Baldwin County Animal Shelter when I was pregnant with 12 puppies. All my puppies have found their furever homes, and now it’s my turn!Energy Level: I am a low to medium energy dog. I do get excited when I play with my foster fur siblings, especially outside, but I know when it is time to calm down. When I'm not playing, I do very well with relaxing with my humans or chewing on a bone. Things that make me happy: I love getting pets and belly rubs! I LOVE being with my people and tend to stick close to them whenever I can. I also love playing with my fur siblings or playing fetch in the yard with a ball or a stick. I LOVE water and will try to drink from the hose when you water your plants!Things that make my humans happy: I am very sweet and loving. I love to snuggle up on the couch with you. I am so incredibly soft and fun to pet, and I love being pet too. I am playful and always ready for an adventure!Training status: I am VERY well trained, both off and on leash. I know sit, down, here (recall command), drop (for fetch), and place; I will also hold these commands reliably during duration work. I am very food motivated which makes me eager and easy to train! Dogs: I love the other dogs in my foster home and I am friendly with all dogs I meet! I have great social skills with other dogs, but a meet and greet with future siblings would be best to make sure they can handle my energy.Cats: When I was cat tested I tried to play too rough with them, so I would do best in a home without cats.Kids: I have never been around children, but I think I would love them!Ideal Family/Home: I would be a wonderful addition to just about any home! I do well with all humans and dogs I have met. Could you be my furever family? If you are interested in giving Lolli a forever home, please visit the link below to fill out an application! http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html It is best to submit an application through a computer. Story
Introducing Rae (aka Radiant)! This sweet little pup is the one of the three girls in the Happy Pups litter. Rae is a beautiful girl with a great personality. She may be one of the littlest pups in her litter, but she’s overflowing with cuteness and love! She loves playing with her littermates with their favorite toys and they all love chasing and wrestling with each other. Rae gets along great with everyone – including every person and dog she meets. She's a little shy until she gets to know new people. But what Rae needs most is a family of her own to give her all the love and attention she deserves. Can you be her furever family? Rae is being fostered in Macon, but she is ready to move on to her furever home.Rae’s mom is a 55-60 pound mixed breed, possibly Black Mouth Cur and Boxer. Mama Happy is a sweet, loving and social girl. And it seems that Rae shares her mom's personality. Rae is current on her vetting – in addition to being spayed, she is microchipped, and up to date on vaccines, worming, and heartworm prevention. Rae is crate trained, and is doing good on house training. But she will still be just a baby who will need an adopter who will commit the time to house train her, teach her manners, and burn off her puppy energy with play. Adopters will need to be committed to managing normal puppy behavior such as chewing, potty training and leash training. Due to the high level of care and attention a young puppy needs, we will be looking for homes where the pups will not be left alone all day. Our rescue also requires that our adopter's current pets are up-to-date on vaccinations and preventatives. All animals in your household should also be spayed or neutered unless there is a medical reason to keep them from being altered. She is such a perfect puppy! And she’s ready to bring lots of love to her new family. If you are looking for in a new pup who wants to be a big part of your life with endless love, Rae is the right furbaby for you! If you are interested in adopting Rae or one of her littermates, please visit the link below to fill out an application! It is best to submit an application through a computer. We have experienced some problems when applications have been submitted using a mobile device. When you submit the application, you are not obligated to adopt; however, it does put you in the queue for the puppy that you are interested in. To expedite the process, please make sure that you complete the application entirely – listing the names and phone numbers for your references (personal as well as vet and landlord, if applicable) and letting them know that we will be calling. Please contact us if you have any questions, we’d love to help out!http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html
