Story
Name: OttoBreed: American Staffordshire/Boxer mixSex/Age/Weight: Male/approx. 2.5 yrs old/60lbs Vetting: Otto is fully vetted, neutered and heartworm negative, including a microchip. House trained/Crate Trained: Still working on house training. Otto is very good in a crate.Dogs/Cats/Children: Otto is good with other dogs. Very curious around cats and chickens but doesn’t seem to want to hurt them. He’s only been around older children but loved them.Energy Level: Otto is a medium energy dog, loves to play and he gives hugs. Before FAR/My History: I was found as a stray in Baldwin County, and I am thought to be the father of the Super K's litter. Training Status/Commands I know: I know my name and respond and come when called.Working on: Jumping on people, house breaking and leash mannersThings I like: Playing with tennis and any other sort of balls! LOVES playing with other dogs. He’s also VERY food motivated and loves treats. Things I don’t like: He seems to not have any things he doesn't like..Things that make my humans happy: Snuggles! He seems to just love and want to be around people all the time!Ideal Family/Home: Otto is a medium energetic and playful boy so he would do great with an active family with a fenced yard who understands this and is willing to work with him on his leash manners and give him the time he needs to run and play. A home with other dogs would be ideal because he absolutely LOVES playing with other dogs.If you are interested in giving Otto a forever home, please visit the link below to fill out an application! http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html It is best to submit an application through a computer. Story
Name: LolliBreed: Boxer/Lab mixSex/Age/Weight: Female, approximately 3.5 years oldWeight: 59 lbsVetting: spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm preventionHouse trained: YesCrate Trained: YesBefore FAR: I was rescued from the Baldwin County animal shelter when I was pregnant with 12 puppies! All my puppies have found their furever homes, and now it’s my turn!Energy Level: I am a low to medium energy dog. I do get excited when I play with my foster fur siblings, and can play somewhat rough. When I'm not playing, I do very well with relaxing with my humans or chewing on a bone. Things that make me happy: I love getting pets and belly rubs! I LOVE being with my people and tend to stick close to them whenever I can. I also love playing with my fur siblings or playing fetch in the yard with a ball or a stick.Things that make my humans happy: I am very sweet and loving. I love to snuggle up on the couch with you. I go willingly into my crate when it is time for my humans to be away or when it is time to go to bed. I am so incredibly soft and fun to pet, and I love being pet too.Working on: Recall when I am very excited, but I am getting better with this every day!Dogs: Love the other dogs in my foster home and I am friendly with all dogs I meet! I have great social skills with other dogs, but a meet and greet with future siblings would be best to make sure they can handle my energy.Cats: When I was cat tested I tried to play too rough with them, so I would do best in a home without cats.Special Notes: True to the boxer breed, I have problems with my hips. I am on supplements to help with this, and my future owner will need to keep me trim and lean so as to not further aggravate hip issues.Ideal Family/Home: I would be a wonderful addition to just about any home! I do well with all humans and dogs I have met. Could you be my furever family? If you are interested in giving Lolli a forever home, please visit the link below to fill out an application! http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html It is best to submit an application through a computer. Boxer American Pit Bull Terrier

Size

Details
Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Name: Dove Breed: Boxer / Pit Bull mixSex/Age/Weight: Female, 5 month, 35-40 lbsVetting: All vaccines House trained/Crate Trained: Dove is well on her way to being both house and crate trained. She does good if she’s taken out for regular potty breaks. She occasionally has an accident when she’s nervous.Dogs/Cats/Children: LOVES other dogs. She seems very interested in cats but doesn’t act aggressive towards them, more like “what are you?” The cats in Dove’s foster home are too nervous with new dogs/puppies so they won’t stay around her long enough for her to figure it out. Energy Level: High but is pretty calm (especially for a puppy) in her crate. Training Status/Commands I know: Dove is doing well with no jumping. She’s working with her foster mom on coming when called and she’s doing good on her recalls.Working on: Sitting, firming up coming when called, walking on a leash in a new place. Things I like: Playing with other dogs! Chasing balls with other dogs. Snuggles with people 😊Things I don’t like: Riding in a car/truck still makes her nervous, especially at first. Things that make my humans happy: Puppy snuggles! Ideal Family/Home: It’d be ideal if she could be with another dog. And with adopters that would understand she is high energy (since she is a puppy after all) and would let her run and play daily. If you are interested in giving Dove a forever home, please visit the link below to fill out an application! It is best to submit an application through a computer. We have experienced some problems when applications have been submitted using a mobile device. When you submit the application, you are not obligated to adopt; however, it does put you in the queue for the puppy that you are interested in. To expedite the process, please make sure that you complete the application entirely – listing the names and phone numbers for your references (personal as well as vet and landlord, if applicable) and letting them know that we will be calling. Please contact us if you have any questions, we’d love to help out!http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html

Story
Brought to the shelter by a Good Samaritan who found him along a busy highway. He is roughly 3 years old, possible Boxer/Pit mix and weighs 55 lbs. UTD with shots, dewormed and heartworm negative. We will neuter him when adopted or fostered. Needs to be the only dog, does fairly well leash walking. Still young and energetic and would be good for someone who does outdoor activities.
