Story
Hello, I'm Ty! My real name is Tiberius, like the roman emperor, but I go by Ty. I was adopted from the Spokane Humane Society so my parents don't really know what breed I am. The vet has deduced that I am at least some part pitty. I have all of the characteristics of a pitty. My parents have three small kids and I love them very much. I like to let them crawl over me and poke my nose, especially the baby. I am protective over my family and will bark at leaves that fall down if they get to close to the windows. I live with another dog and we like to wrestle. I don't mind the cat at all and my favorite past time is laying on my bed taking naps. Unfortunately, my parents have to move for graduate school and dad's school says that they can't take me along. I do know, however, that they are fully committed to finding me the best home possible.

Story
Sweet T has found himself in a pickle, through no fault of his own. His owner has been diagnosed with a debilitating and fatal disease. She has given him love of great year, after rescuing him from the shelter. I am her cousin and caregiver and I also cannot take him as I have 4 dogs and will be moving her into my home and caring for her. Sweet T is on the older side, but has lots of love to give, will to guard the house, wag and beg for some treats and pets. He is a good boy and mostly just want to lay about until he is ready to end his time here with us. Please consider giving is owner some peace of mind that he has more time, and that she can rest assured that he is safe and cared for. He like treats a lot, and needs to loss a few as a result of his successful begging talents. He cannot be around cats. Dogs generally ok, but maybe not smaller dogs (?) Absolutely not cats! Children unknown, but will probably not want to be climbed on. Thanks for your consideration.

Story
Stunning Outdoorsman seeks partner for adventure! Meet Copper! Copper is located in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area. (See information below in the “Adoption Donation” section.) Copper is the perfect mix of adventure buddy and couch cuddler. Hikes or playing in the snow? Yes, please! Sports?  He has attended soccer games (dog and people watching is fascinating). Shopping? On a mission to the local hardware store, Copper quickly had everyone eating out of his paw and scored some treats, too! Hiking? He ventured to Riverside State Park where he saw horses for the first time. Fascinated by them, Copper displayed excellent manners as he watched the large animals.  Copper has great social skills, and he plays well with the cats and dogs in his foster home. Copper learns from the resident dog how to behave in new situations; he is a very smart pup who is eager to please. When he isn’t on explores, Copper loves to spend time with his people, and cuddling on the couch is a favorite pastime. This boy likes to be warm (he is from Texas) and while he loves playing outside, he looks forward to warming up by the space heater on chilly days. Copper is a young dog, and he is learning new skills almost daily. He is fully crate trained and progressing through his potty training; he alerts at the door when he needs to go outside. Copper sleeps through the night and has learned basic obedience. He has nice food manners and sits and waits to be released before eating. The color copper describes this stunning pup’s gorgeous coloring, and it also illustrates his personality. Copper the metal is beautiful, resilient, and shapeable while still retaining the qualities that make it so valuable. Copper the dog was slated for euthanasia due to a lack of space; he survived that fate and journeyed to Washington to start a new life with his loving, affectionate, playful personality intact. Copper enjoys cuddling and giving kisses; he loves everyone he meets and delights in the world around him. And like metal, he is stunning and shines. Copper’s ideal home? It would include treats, snuggles, and dinner (he is a growing boy). Other animal companions would suit him as well. And people to love who would love him in return and ensure he learns the skills that make him a well-rounded and happy dog.  Is your home the one for this resilient, beautiful boy? Want to meet Copper? Fill out an inquiry form or visit our website for more information! Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue At Path of Hope Rescue, our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. We are primarily a volunteer organization that focuses on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes. Our adoption process sets us apart. We specialize in learning about you and your family to find just the right fit for you. Our Matchmakers are not only good at what they do; they will also guide you through the entire process.  Our Minimum Adoption Donation is $550 for puppies under a year and $450 for dogs one year and older. We are a WA state registered non-profit and rely heavily on adoption donations to cover the expenses associated with saving lives. Our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption; microchipped with free lifetime registration; and up to date on DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines (when age appropriate) and heartworm and deworming. Adopters can also earn a $100 training refund if they attend (6) hours of any in person training course. We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment. Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog’s transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events. Adopters may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250.  Puppy Delivery Express currently delivers dogs throughout Washington and to parts of Montana, Idaho, and Oregon.  Please visit https://www.pathofhoperescue.com/ for more information about our organization and the adoption process. ##1988579##
