Gina is a sweet, easy-going older girl that just wants to hang out with her human. She loves to nap in a sunny spot in the yard or around the house. She's always up for a walk but would enjoy being a homebody just as much. She gets along well with her fellow dog housemates (all medium to large mixed breeds), unknown how she does with cats. She doesn't live with any children now, but she likes to watch the neighborhood kids play from her spot on the porch. Gina is still working on kenneling; she will try her hardest to get out if she is kenneled for more than a few hours. She isn't destructive with furniture, but she will try to get into anything containing food. Gina also needs just a little more care than the typical dog to keep her itchy skin under control. Gina is the perfect dog for someone looking for a mellow companion who will always be happy to see you and will never get tired of being petted. His former family did a DNA test and that came back as him being American Staffordshire Terrier 50%, 12.5% Border Collie, 12.5% Shetland Sheepdog, and 25% Herding dog He is a very smart, social boy but MUST have a family who will be committed to continuing his training with MethodK9 with online courses. Due to his past, he has an intense reaction to having his nails clipped and going to the vet. His future adopter needs to have the patience and understanding to help desensitize him to these situations. He loves people & would do best in home an active home with kids over the age of 12 who know how to be respectful of dogs. Some of his favorite things to do are cuddling, playing, running, playing in the water, chewing on toys, playing tug and fetch. He is an active boy who would make a great hiking or running partner but who will also happily cuddle up with you too! He is crate trained, house trained, knows basic commands, and walks great on leash using a training collar. He is good with social, well balanced dogs and is good with cats too. He is fully vaccinated including his rabies vaccine, he is microchipped, and he is neutered. He is not a dog that would do well in an apartment type living situation.

Our family wanted to rescue a dog as our old dog passed due to old age. We wanted a companion for our other dog(boy), who was a bit lonely. It breaks our heart to have to have to have her leave our home, however for our other dog, this is best. She has been SO good with kids, and all of us family members. She is nothing but amazing with people. She has been good playing with my daughters dog who visits often, and is 80% of the time good with our other dog. They can be found cuddling on the bed together, playing in the yard, and sharing toys. As she got used to our home we noticed she would unexpectedly want to dominate our other dog. Our other dog is very passive and gentle, even when she dominates. I would be happy to help pay for a trainer or some obedience classes if you find yourself in need. We love her and want her to find her forever home.

We have owned Elvis for 8 years. We got him at a shelter. He is an amazing dog and we love him very much. However I feel our family cannot give him everything he needs. He would love to be with an active family or adults who can understand this breed. He is a bully breed, so he will pull on walks unless he is wearing a gentle leader. He has health issues. Mainly allergies which are manageable. He would do best as the single pet in a home. I would love him to spend the later part of his life with someone who can dedicate a great deal of attention to him. He is an inside dog only, he will not understand being left out and will bark. He is house trained as well. There is so much more to list with his story , I will be happy to share if you are interested!

Hello? Are you my new best friend? I'm Kilo, and I sure hope so. I'm an older guy who loves going on walks (bonus: I'm already great on leash), hanging out with my peeps, and giving and receiving lots of love. I enjoy any toy I can chew on, and am always up for a good game of tug! I also love people of all ages, riding in the car and playing in water. I've had a bit of a rough go at things, as I was mostly left chained outside at my last home, and as such, I've had difficulty socializing with other animals. I'd really love a home where I can be the only animal, and my new humans will be patient and kind at exposing me to new things. I do not want to live on a chain anymore, period. Meet Poncho.  This adorable gentle giant is a sweetheart!  He is playful and loving.  This boy can make friends easily.  He is still young and has plenty of energy to play around.  He is good on the leash, and sometimes tends to pull a little if something catches his eye.  He needs an active family and a fenced backyard.  He will transition easily in to any family.
