Story
I adopted Jada for a shelter 3.5 months ago. She’s a 1.75 year old spayed pit bull mix. Jada needs an active family who is willing to spend time training her. I am unable to give her enough consistent exercise. Jada is very sweet and cuddly if she’s had enough exercise. She’s playful and very smart. She’s highly food motivated and very athletic. She loves to run and jump. For this reason, I wouldn’t recommend a home with small children. Jada has anxiety, particularly around separation and confinement. She needs someone to work with her on these issues with positive reinforcement. We’ve made progress, but I think consistent exercise like running, long hikes, etc. is the secret to Jada making true progress. Jada is easy to train with a clicker and treats. She knows sit, down, stay, look at me, and come pretty reliably.

Story
Meet Champ Meet Champ-ersaurus, the big, gentle dinosaur dog who will steal your heart with just one wag of his tail. Despite his intimidating size, Champ is a lover, not a fighter, and is always eager to please his human companions. He's a quick learner, too - he knows how to sit and shake on command! Even though he was picked up as a stray, we can tell he’s had human interaction, he's potty-trained & used to being in a house and a yard. He doesn’t like the crate, yet isn’t destructive when left alone at his fosters home. He loves to get on the bed and is the happiest when he’s there. He loves kisses and snuggles and will normally take over the whole bed when he’s allowed up. While Champ is dog-friendly, he does the best with evenly matched dogs & likes having a play pal. Champ has had the most fun romping in the yard with some of the younger pups and plays gently with them. Champ doesn’t care much for cats & is not the best fit for a household with feline friends. Champ is definitely a people-dog. He prefers human companionship. If you're his owner, you're the apple of his eye! He's leash-trained and very calm on walks, even when encountering other dogs. And he loves going for car rides - he won't jump out unless invited to do so! At his daycare, he is a staff favorite and gives them hugs when he sees them. Champ doesn't care if you are a man or a woman, he loves them all. He likes treats and takes them with ease. While Champ is a calm and well-behaved dog, his excitement can override his listening skills. We think he would do much better in a home with children over the age of ten, as he may accidentally knock them over or get a little too passionate with his zoomies. A yard and room to run would be fantastic for Champ. Champ loves toys, but he's not sure what a ball is for - he's more of a slow-moving tank than an athlete! He'll jog or run alongside you if you ask him to, but he's not very athletic and prefers to take things at his own pace. Maybe morning coffee in the yard where he can zoom or rest as he so desires! Champ-ersaurus is a wonderful dog who just wants to be loved and approved of by his humans. If you're looking for a big, loving dog to join your family, Champ is that guy. He will be an easy add to a home with another pup, or a fun family looking for a new addition. Story
Granger, a 54-pound young adult rescue dog, embodies a unique blend of traits that make him an endearing companion. Initially cautious around strangers, he blossoms into a loyal and affectionate friend once he establishes trust. His wide-set, beautiful eyes are a distinctive feature, complemented by charmingly bow-legged stature reminiscent of a bulldog. Granger thrives in the company of other dogs, eagerly seeking opportunities to snuggle and play with his furry pals. His social nature extends to adoring kids, showcasing gentle and amiable behavior around them. A testament to his adaptability, Granger is both kennel and potty trained, demonstrating discipline and understanding of boundaries. While initially uneasy with car rides, he is gradually becoming more comfortable, displaying resilience and openness to new experiences. His gradual acclimatization to car rides mirrors his overall willingness to embrace change and learn. Granger's journey from a hesitant newcomer to a beloved companion reflects his resilient spirit and willingness to form deep connections. In essence, Granger is an amiable, adaptable, and affectionate dog whose gradual warmth towards strangers underscores his loyalty and trustworthiness once he embraces friendship. His love for canine and human companionship, along with his charming features and gentle demeanor, make him a cherished addition to any loving home. Story
Meet Jake This handsome man is Jake Gyllenpaws. Jake is a real model and is good at stealing hearts with his good looks. His foster mom says Jake has the “model look” to him. He lays down and when you stop petting him, he looks back at you with "Blue Steel." Of course, this look often ends with more pets and kisses for the sweet boy. How could you not just love all over this boy? Jake loves to cuddle on the couch and be by your side soaking up all the love. After being stuck in the shelter, Jake has been working so hard on his doggie manners and wants to show you how far he's come. He can sit, lie down, and has been working on learning to stay. He is potty trained and loves to be outside in a yard with his family. He doesn’t much care for the crate, but his foster family is committed to showing him it can be a pawsitive place. Jake is a gentle boy and sensitive. After his last vet visit, he looked quite sad, so his foster mom took him to get a pup-cup and it made him very happy again. Jake will require continued spoiling and love, as he deserves the best. Jake is living with 2 other dogs in his foster family and loves having play mates. They get along very well outside of treat time. Jake would prefer not to share. It’s likely best to feed Jake separately from other resident dogs since he’s still learning that sharing is caring. This Jake Gyllenpaws isn’t a fan of cats. A home without felines is best for him. Jake is a Velcro boy and loves to be with his family. His human foster brother is turning out to be his best friend. Jake is learning to be gentle with him because he gets so excited when he sees him. Although Jake hasn’t met any smaller children, we think he would do well with kids over 10. He does like zoomies and with his zest for life, he may knock over the smaller ones trying to play. Sweet Jake is a real lap dog at heart and loves being by your side. If you're looking for an energetic and loving pup to join your family, Jake Gyllenpaws could be the perfect match for you! Tina is a 1.5yr old Staffi that came into the shelter as a stray and was saved from euthanasia by our rescue. She loves to play and give kisses. She is good with people, but because she still very much acts like a puppy and does not know her strength, she should be placed in a home with kids over 10yrs old. Tina is looking for a 1 dog home with no cats. She is learning to walk on a loose leash and some basic house manners. She is spayed, vaccines & Rabies are current, she is microchipped and crate trained.

Story
Buster's foster mom could NOT say enough about how great he is. He gets along with everyone he meets and is dog friendly, but NO cats. Buster likes to romp and play with anyone willing. He is good on the leash and would make an great ESA for an adult. Although Buster is dog friendly, he has been through ALOT and we are looking for a 1 dog home or a home with only 1 other well mannered dog about his size so Buster can be the focus of the attention his previous owner neglected. He CANNOT be placed with cats or small dogs. Buster some how was chipped with 2 different Microchips so both will need to be registered. Please contact us with any questions.

Story
This young man is only 1.5yrs old and just full of energy. He does not neurotic, but will need an outlet for his energy. Some walks a few days a week or games of fetch would do him good. He is a very sweet man and seems to be friendly with well mannered female dogs, but proper introduction would be needed. Walks fairly well on the leash and is learinig better leash manners and some basic obedience. An obedience class with his new owner would do him well with transitioning into his new home. Roy is a wonderful dog! He's quiet and sweet and has a laid-back energy. Roy belongs to my son, but my son is headed to a sober living house where they will not allow Roy to go with him. He absolutely loves this dog, and it is breaking his heart that we have to look for a new home for him, but my son has to take care of himself first. Roy does have arthritis so he walks a little bit bow legged. He is definitely overweight because he can only do so much exercise. He does not have any incontinence issues, but he is a senior dog. I hope for him to go to a home where he can continue to relax and be loved for the next few years of his life.

Story
WOOF! I'M ALLIE! I'm a 4-year-old sweet and gentle brown brindle and white Boxer mix who needs a foster or forever home! I was the shelter's longest running resident, and was such a good girl there. I have done well with other dogs and in fact, at my current location, I managed to get into a kennel run with a female German Shepherd, as I wanted the company. I would love a home where I can be showered with love and attention, and where I can go for walks or hikes and other outings. I'd do best in a home with an active person, people, or family. Can you foster or adopt me? I weigh about 50 lbs.
