Story
Meet Mister Myles. He didn’t come to as a stray but a very beloved dog, living with cats and kids and an owner who did not want to give him up but had no home anymore to keep him at. A sad reality for a sensitive dog. Once he has warmed up to his people, he is a LOVE bug -- the caveat? It will take some time for him to open up and even take pets from a new person. He is curious about new people, saunters up to sniff. Treats help bridge that gap, Myles is a big time foodie. He can sit & lay down, overall very responsive to the person he's bonded with. Responds well when commanded to come, take it gentle and the famous "no bitey hands!" Myles MAIN GOAL is PLAYING!! He loves to play tug and you can tell his previous owner played very physically with him. He needs some help keeping it appropriate, he’s a hype man! He has met dogs at KCAS and does best with adult, confident female dogs who are playful, tolerant but also good at giving corrections to tell him when to chill out. His current best friend is (dog) Sheila, who he plays off leash with in our dog park, playing tons of chase until they're so tired, its nap time. Myles is going to need someone patient, willing to work WITH him, not a lot of random foot traffic and due to being cooped up at the shelter, an adult household would be recommended. He gets big time zoomies and has won over some staffs hearts due to his personality. He lays quietly in his kennel, loves chewing on his toys next to you and lounging on a dog bed with an edible chew bone. He is enjoyable to take on walks. With time and effort, he will easily be the right persons heart dog. If you understand the special bond that can form with time, care, treats and mutual respect and this sounds like a match for you, come meet Myles. Maybe a few times even so he warms up and shows you his awesome personality.

Dapper Dante is one of the MOST handsome dudes around! This 5-year-old staffie mix is one big dude (around 80 lb) but don't let that fool you - he's a big softie! This amazing superhero mutt wears his tuxedo wherever he goes and always has a big smile on his face. Just one gaze into his big brown eyes and you can see that this big ol' boy just craves affection and attention from his people. He is an active dog, loves playing catch and toting his toys around, but does calm down for some cuddles. Dante is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped and ready to head to his forever home!
