Story
Meet Misha, also known as Moo and Misha Moo by staff and volunteers. She is a favorite around here and also one of our longest term dogs. A bit about Misha, she loves her toys and will prance around showing them off to her friends. Misha loves sniffy walks, blanket forts, treats, snuggles and naps. A perfect home for Misha would be one where she can be the only pet and soak up all the attention, she will also need cuddle time on a regular basis. Misha is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccines. Come meet Misha in person at the Kent County Animal Shelter.

Story
West went for a field trip and this is what the volunteer had to say: West is perfect gentleman, I had never taken West out before so wasn't sure what to expect. He was calm, cool, and collected! The park was busy many of the fields were full of kids playing t-ball with lots of children and parents walking around. West seemed to enjoy the hustle and bustle and wasn't phased one bit. He also did not react when other dogs were nearby. He listened and definitely knows how to charm you. West stayed by my side the entire time and would sit calmly when I offered him a treat. He also loved the car ride and quickly laid down on the back seat for the trip. He would be a joy for any family.

Story
Whitey is a 5 year old, 55 pound, bulldog/pit mix. I'm just going to share what Officer Carpentier said "When this dog came in he was very vocal. Everyone said "oh I don’t know about him". I sat with him that next day and within 10 minutes, he was licking me all over. Then I introduced him to the rest of the staff. Whitey and I are best friends here at the shelter now. I will probably cry when he leaves but I just want people to give him a chance and get to know him like we did. Even though he sounds like a t-rex, I promise he’s a teddy!! But no cats for whitey 🫣😅! We tried that and he looks at them like a roasted chicken." I can't add anything to this great write-up. In case anyone wants to know, this gorgeous, smiling good boi is the same scared dog that was trapped in Bitely. The adoption fee for dogs is $90. This fee includes spay/neuter, deworming, heartworm test, rabies & DHLPP shots, flea & tick treatment and license (for Newaygo County residents). Newaygo County Animal Shelter 78 N. Webster White Cloud, MI 49349 231-689-1867 Mon&Tues 11-1 Wednesday 3-6 Thurs&Fri 11-1 Appointments welcome and available upon request.

Story
Sweet and loving girl, 2 years old. Unfortunately just do not have the time for her anymore. I want her to go to a home that can give her adequate attention and free time. She is extremely friendly, loves people and animals. She does well with cats and children. She has play dates with other dogs and does very well. Likes to hop around like a bunny. She enjoys going on adventures and car rides. Loves doing zoomies through the yard. She is a big cuddle bug. She is microchipped. Up to date on rabies and distemper, I have both her registration tag and her microchip information. She is fixed.

Our sweet Miggy (aka Miguel Cabrera) is a ridiculously cute puppy with an adorable underbite, hilarious lil’ grunting noises and the most lovable presence !! We love him.
