Story
If you’re looking for a dog who lives up to her name, look no further—Joy is the whole package! This sweet, wiggly, affectionate girl is overflowing with happiness and eager to share it with everyone she meets.Joy is an incredibly happy, playful, and loving pup. She has a big smile, a bigger heart, and enough energy to brighten your entire day. Whether she’s giving kisses, zooming around the yard, or trotting over for pets, she radiates pure positivity. This girl loves to run, play fetch, wrestle with dog friends, and explore the outdoors. She has lots of youthful energy and would thrive in a home that can keep her mentally and physically active. A fenced-in yard is a must so she can safely enjoy her favorite activity—running full speed with her goofy grin on display!Joy truly loves everyone—humans and dogs alike. She does wonderfully with other dogs and would be thrilled to have a playful canine sibling. She’s all about fun, friendship, and together-time.Cats, however, are not recommended, as her enthusiasm can be a bit overwhelming for them.Joy is very treat-motivated and eager to please, making her a great candidate for continued training. She’ll benefit from someone who can help her polish her manners and channel her energy in positive ways. With consistency and rewards, she’ll be a star student. If you’re ready for a life filled with laughter, snuggles, and endless joyful moments, Joy is ready to run (literally!) into your heart. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is $50

Story
Lets talk about me Axel! Axel's favorite past times are napping, long walks and playing with all of the toys in the toy box, then napping again! I used to have a great home and they love me very much, but the first dog, suddenly decided it didn't like me anymore. He started to fight with me. It made me sad that my bestest friend and me had to be separated all the time. So for my safety and everyone else in the family it was decided I needed a new home. People are my favorite thing; I might over-love you a little bit at first until I get use to a new home and new peeps. I listen well and learn fast. If you'd like to know more about me, like how playful and smart I am, just submit an adoption application, then we can meet each other and see where it takes us. Story
Suri (Surimi) is an adorable, little pocket Pittie. She is a delightful balance of sweet, fun and calm energy with a real willingness to please. She loves to play with her toys and just hang out with you. She loves rolling in the grass! She plays catch but also likes to run around and throw her toys around to catch. She has some young dog energy but knows how to calm down quickly and just chill out. She is highly trainable and is already learning basic commands like sit and come. She is crate trained and has not had one accident in her crate. If you would like to meet this sweet girl. Story
Diamond is four years old and has been with our family since she was a puppy. She is a lovable ball of energy who enjoys getting her ears scratched, chewing on her toys and snuggles. She is house trained and knows some basic commands. She is somewhat easy to train and a sucker for treats. She typically sleeps in her crate but does well without it. She has a big bark but warms up to people easily. We are looking for someone who is patient and kind. We are willing to help cover the cost of getting her spayed and up to date with shots. We are truly hoping to get her into another home soon and not a shelter. Any questions, dont hesitate to ask. Thank you.

Story
Zion was a gift to my ex. The ex is gone and Zion was left at my home. As much as I have tried to make this a fitting home for him, I don't have the space or the means to make it the space he needs. Things to know: - He is prone to skin infections that are treatable. -He eats a grain free food. -He is very strong when walking. Can show aggressive tendencies while leashed. -When he is alone for to long he can destroy things (foam, stuffies, cardboard, or anything in the trash if available) He would be happiest in a home where he is the only creature getting attention. He's good with children but does get jealous. He is ok with my cat, but I think would love it if the cat weren't here. He really needs someone who has time time to play with him, train him, and devote to him. He is very food motivated, loving, and sweet. As a single mom, Zion is not the best fit for my son's and my current living situation. I just want what's best for him and I know it's not here.
