In 2022 we rescued Zo. He would have been two years old at the time. As rescues go we couldn't have been luckier. He is a fantastic dog that just wants to be loved. He loves tug of war (rope toy) and tough (Kong) chew toys. He has very strong jaws. He loves walks and laying at your feet while you watch TV or work from home. No exaggeration Zo is extremely calm and is happy laying around all day. If you work from home he'll lay in his bed (so he can see you) or at your feet for hours. He doesn't chew on household items. Divorced in 2025. After relocating he simply doesn't get the attention that he deserves. He doesn't deserve to be crated for extended periods of time while I'm out working. My kids are growing and don't give him any attention. He's too good of a dog to have a life of idleness and solitude. It may sound nuts but I can see/feel that he is sad. He just deserves better - and more - than what we can give.

Approx. DOB: 3/17/23                 Approx. Weight: 43 lBS Adoption Fee: $200 includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness! Miss Darla is looking for a family as wonderful as herself. Her foster mom says she is house and crate trained.  She will whine to let you know she needs to go out. Darla has loved playing with the dogs in her foster home because they are all even tempered like her. The dogs that are bossy and dominant she does not like. Darla loves to play tag, tug and chase with her furry friends.  The yard she plays in has a 4'  chain link fence and she has never tried to get out or over it.  She will sometimes play fetch unless the ball or toy interest her more then returning it... LOL. Darla has been working on walking on leash wearing a harness,  which we include with her adoption, plus her collar and leash.    I have been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible.   Furry Kids' Refuge is in need of good quality dog and puppy food with meat as the first ingredient.  You can drop off donations at our weekly adoption events at the Lee's Summit Petco (1860 NW Chipman Road, Lee's Summit, MO), Saturdays only from 11am to 2:00 p.m.  Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.  Would you like to foster a Furry Kid? Furry Kids' Refuge will supply the food & vet care while you supply the basic house rules & love.......win-win for all!!  Just visit our website http://www.furrykidsrefuge.org/category/fostering/  for more information. Thanks for your support!
