Story
Meet Louie! Louie is a chilled, sweet 5-year-old gentleman who is looking for a new loving home after the passing of his elderly family. While this change was no fault of his own, Louie has handled it with grace and continues to be the affectionate, easygoing companion he has always been. Louie weighs about 55 lbs and is the definition of laid-back. He loves lounging on the couch, soaking up companionship, and quietly being part of the household. He is incredibly sweet-natured and well-mannered. Louie has a sister, Marley, whom he is bonded with and would be thrilled to be adopted alongside. If that is not possible, Louie would do well in a home with another friendly dog to provide comfort and companionship. He gets along wonderfully with dogs and people of all ages. Louie has been well cared for—he is neutered and up to date on vaccines. We would love to work with a veteran or senior that just needs a loyal, easy companion. Fenced yard recommended.  Adopt fee $50.Courtesy PostLocation: Cole Camp, MO. Interested? Please send a text message to Tammy at 660 287-4093. We also will provide a simple online application to help Tammy learn a bit about you and your family.  ##2641721##

Mabel is a 35‑lb, 7‑year‑old gentle soul who wants nothing more than to be close to her person. She’s calm and easy to have in the house, happy to curl up beside you and soak up all the love you’re willing to give.   She’s been very brave settling into her foster home. She was nervous about indoor stairs at first, but with patience and encouragement she now manages them on her own. Because she favors her back right leg, she’d do best in a home with minimal stairs and a family who enjoys short, easy walks. She loves these walks and is learning not to pull on the leash.    Mabel can be a little cautious when meeting new people, but she warms up quickly and shows her soft, affectionate nature. She takes treats incredibly gently, and her foster describes her as “just wanting to be with her person and feel loved.”   If you’re looking for a calm, loyal companion who will quietly adore you, Mabel is your girl.   Approximate Birthdate:  May 2019 Adoption Fee: $200 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL. Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines:  Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg) X-Large 101 lbs (46 kg) or more For more information please fill out an application.   CONTACT INFO The Animal Rescue Alliance (TARA) Web site: tarasdream.org Adoption Information & Applications: https://tarasdream.org/adopt Upcoming Adoption Events: https://tarasdream.org/events Email: email@tarasdream.orgJune 25, 2026, 12:29 pm

Story
Meet Fletch! This brindle cutie is a master of the happy butt-wiggle. Fletch is playful, goofy, and smart, but also knows the art of cuddling. He’s housebroken, crate trained, and does great on a leash—walks are his jam! Fletch loves people and will be happiest as your one-and-only pup, though he might do fine with a calm doggy friend. He’s an affectionate, mostly quiet guy who’s just as happy chasing toys as he is snuggling on the couch. A fenced yard and daily exercise will keep him at his best. Fletch has had some tough times, but he’s grateful for every good thing—and he’s ready for his forever people to come along. 📍 Kansas City metro (transport available!) 📞 Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387
