Story
Ruth was picked up as a stray in Syracuse and unfortunately her family didn`t want her back. So now she`s looking for a new home! At 65 pounds, Babe Ruth, or just Ruth, is a very gentle girl who waits patiently to be leashed up for her walks with volunteers and has near perfect leash manners. She doesn`t worry herself about other dogs and just enjoys her walks. She already knows sit and shake and takes treats gently. Overall Ruth is a sweet and gentle lovebug looking to be your next family dog.

Story
Meet Mila ******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you area not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Mila is a spayed 3 year old female Pitbull/Staffie mix, currently weighing around 40lbs. She is in a foster home in San Antonio, TX, and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is found. Mila plays well with all dog sizes! She really enjoys playtime with the larger pups as they can keep up with her energy. She does well when meeting other dogs, but her foster notes she has a tendency to jump on her canine buddies, and some dogs may not like this. This cutie LOVES food and treats, scarfing down her own before checking to see what her foster siblings have in their bowls. She's not shown any aggression but we recommend feeding her separately just to ensure continued household harmony. Mila is smart, young and very teachable, quickly picking up on new lessons! She enjoys exploring and is super curious. Mila has not been crate trained as there is always someone home and she has access to a doggy door to come and go as she pleases. She has proven herself trustworthy to be left alone unsupervised as long as no food has been left out and the trash cans are empty. For this reason, Mila may do best in a home where someone is home more than they're away. Mila has been around her foster's young to older grandkids (1y, 10y, and preteens) and done well, not showing much interest in them. While Mila would probably be okay with kids of all ages, we generally recommend homes with children who are over the age of 10yrs, or those who are dog savvy. We do not have any history with cats. She is very people oriented and follows her Foster Mom around everywhere. She does not seem to have ever met a stranger, and gets super excited to say hello to new friends! She is affectionate and very cuddly, lying down nearby and asking for pets and kisses. Mila's ideal home would be with a moderately to very active family who has no/older kids, at least one other dog, and who wants a running partner or outdoors companion. She's still young and needs some training, but she is a very sweet girl who craves love and attention, and strives to please with lots of reassurance. If her Furever Family is patient and understanding, giving her ample time to adjust, she will be the very best girl and love you forever! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt her? We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Akira, a 5.5 year old spayed female, Staffordshire mix, 60lbs. She is in foster home in Houston, TX and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! Meet Akira! Have you ever seen a cuter face in your life?! We didn’t think so. This sweet girl was saved off the euthanasia list with only minutes to spare. She has been waiting patiently for nearly nine months for her forever home and hasn’t received a single adoption application. Honestly, we can’t understand why. Akira is fully crate-trained and knows her basic commands. This girl has the sweetest puppy eyes and wants nothing more than a person of her own that will lounge and snuggle with her. She’s a big love bug who thinks she’s a tiny lap dog. During the day you can find her snoozing on a comfy dog bed until it’s time to go for a walk. She listens and follows commands well and takes treats incredibly gently. To keep occupied she chews on bones or throws her stuffed toys from the bed and jumps down to get them. Akira adores people and enjoys hanging out with calm, submissive pups. She would be okay as the only dog in her new home as her true dream is to be your one and only; the apple of your eye. This big-hearted girl is such a kind soul, and we’d love nothing more than to see her finally meet her forever best friend. In return, she promises a lifetime of unconditional love! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown.
