Story
Waylon is a wonderful sweet boy who we took in as a foster the day after Halloween. He was super skinny when we picked him up but he just received a clean bill of health and has reached a healthy weight. He is crate trained, house broken, and knows his basic commands. He sits when he has your attention, and loves squeaky toys, and REALLY loves fuzzy toys. He startles easily and runs away sometimes but has shown zero aggression towards people, kids, or dogs. We have introduced him to children as young as 4, as old as 13 as well as other dogs in multiple settings. We have 4 other dogs in our home and his favorite is the fluffiest husky. We are actively searching for his furever home. We are willing to travel to get him to the best home because he deserves all the love and cuddles.

Story
Meet Charlene – A Gentle Soul Looking for Her Forever Home 💜 Charlene is a stunning 9-year-old pittie with a heart as big as her beautiful smile. Originally adopted from our rescue four years ago, she was recently returned through no fault of her own—her family faced an unexpected move and sadly couldn’t take her along. Now back with us, Charlene is hoping to find a loving home to spend her golden years. She's a calm, affectionate companion who truly deserves stability and care. While Charlene prefers to be the only pet in the home, her sweet personality more than makes up for it—she’s loyal, gentle, and full of love. Due to her age, Charlene is currently on joint supplements, and we recommend continuing them to help keep her comfortable and mobile. If you’re looking for a devoted best friend who will love you unconditionally, Charlene might just be the perfect match.

Story
Meet Shaq, he is a 3 year old American staffy, he is 72lb and up to date on shots, he is also neutered. Sadly he needs people that have a time and space to give him, due to me being pregnant we can’t give him that time. We love this dog and it hurts us to do this but he deserves to be happy. He is good with birds, reptiles and other but not with dogs. He knows how to sit, stay, paw, spin and drop, he’s also good about his crate he just needs to be treat motivated sometimes. If you or anyone is interested in him please contact me. Thank youu

Story
Rosco is 5 years old and has been part of our lives since he was a puppy. So young that we bottle fed him at first. He is a very energetic loving dog who enjoys going on runs and playing fetch/catch. Reason for needing to rehome him is because we are moving to Germany and due to breed restrictions are unable to take him with us.

Story
I came to CCHS after being found in flood water during Hurricane Florence. I was so skinny and sick, but CCHS nursed me back to health, and now I am strong and handsome! River is our resident superstar. He is a very shy boy but has come a very long way. River would do best in a calm home without small children. He prefers female dogs only. Please visit our website, www.colonialcapitalhs.org to fill out an application today!
