This guy isn't "one and done", you're not going to come pick him up and take him home. You're going to have to get to know him and build trust in him before he'll accept you as his leader.

Describe the ideal home as we believe it to be.
Describe the humans/pets they share their foster placement with- small or large dogs, what age of kids, high traffic vs low traffic, farm animals, indoor small animals or cats, frequent visitors or hardly any?
GENERAL TEMPERAMENT AND BEHAVIOR
Describe their ideal home in a cute or quirky way. Do they want a lap, or a canine companion? Are they happy just about anywhere? Do they need a home without small kids or animals? do they struggle with men or women or children? Do they enjoy their own space and need a little corner that is theirs?
Describe activity level. Do they need busy work, are they lazy and not very active? Do they look chill but need adventure? What are current activities they really enjoy? Fetch? Following people around the house? Sunbathing?
How do they play with others? Do they struggle to share toys? Any games or toys they really love?
Are they loud & proud? Do they barely make a peep? Do they bark to alert at every single thing, or just here and there?
TRAINING
House trained? Crate trained? Basic manners? formal training? What kind of training and routine has been offered? What do they need help with?
Is dog food or toy motivated? Do they enjoy scent work, fetch, tug o war, anything in particular? Are they a potential for a working dog? Where is their training at now & what would be beneficial for the new family to know?
HEALTH STATUS

HART's dogs are all in private homes - we do not have a facility. We will be happy to arrange for you to meet Velvet, and any of our other dogs you may be interested in, once we have approved your application to adopt.
