Story
Igor was found as a stray by a good Samaritan on Cedar Avenue in Pasco. He currently weighs about 60 pounds. He is neutered and ready to go home today!Igor is an absolute hoot and a total ham. This boy has a personality that is impossible not to smile at! When he walks, his whole body wiggles from side to side, and he moves through life at his own pace like he has his very own built-in cruise control. There`s no rush when you`re Igor—he`s here to enjoy the journey. This handsome guy already knows how to sit and lay down, does great on a leash, and has one of the sweetest quirks staff have noticed: Igor takes treats with the gentlest little mouth and seems to truly savor every bite. He isn`t just treat motivated—he`s a true treat connoisseur who appreciates the finer things in life. While some dogs are ready to hit the trails and go on endless adventures, Igor may have a different idea of the perfect day. During his photos, he made it very clear that relaxing is a top priority, happily laying down and showing off the signature Pit Bull sploot (you know the one—back legs stretched out behind him). This sweet boy seems like he would much rather be your cuddle buddy than your marathon hiking partner.Igor is the kind of dog who reminds us that sometimes the best adventures are the quiet ones: a comfy couch, a few tasty treats, and someone to share a good cuddle session with.Since Igor was found as a stray, his history with other dogs or cats is unknown. Meet and greets are required with any dogs currently in the home prior to adoption.Igor`s adoption fee is $50. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and treated for fleas, ticks, and worms. Our shelter operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Holds, deposits, and pre-adoptions are not allowed, and as a stray-intake animal control facility, animals may transfer to other shelters or rescues at any time.Come meet Igor today—this gentle treat connoisseur and professional sploot expert might just be the couch companion you`ve been waiting for!

Story
Chewy Booie is a very active, playful girl. HISTORY She was born into our care after her momma, Maven, was picked up as a stray. Chewy Booie is located in Walla Walla, Washington at her foster home. We advertise our dogs in a variety of locations in an effort to improve their chances of finding great homes. We can assure you, this pup is well worth a road trip! However, if necessary we will arrange transport to bring her to an approved adoptive home within the Pacific Northwest. SOCIALIZATION Chewy Booie is a puppy and completely puppy like behavior; her exposure to other animals has been limited and can easily be trained to accept anything in the animal world at this age. Her ideal home could have human children, other pets of any type and any type of animals. Ideally she would be well socialized and taken on family outings, taught appropriate skills to become her best version. She's been in a foster home with children 4 years and up, other adult dogs and the 9 of them including her momma which is giving her so much more learning — behaviors that are appropriate — she's going to be well rounded as an adult. GENERAL TEMPERAMENT AND BEHAVIOR Puppies have not experienced the world yet and it is up to you to teach them what is safe, comfortable and about dangers like cars or reactive dogs. TRAINING We recommend signing her up for a local puppy training class and continue to train even after the class. Chewy Booie is just a baby, she is young and eager to learn how to be a good family dog. She'd love you to take her to school so she can learn ALL the skills she needs to be her best self. This would be beneficial for you as her pet parent(s) as well so that you can learn to communicate effectively with her and teach her to be confident. She is still working on potty training. It's important to remember: Chewy Booie is a puppy, and PUPPIES ARE HARD WORK! This little girl is just getting started — she has sharp nails and needle teeth and loves to pounce on shoes and grab hold and tug on anything that moves! As far as she's concerned, anything and everything is for play. She still has everything to learn about being a civilized member of a mainly human family. She will trip you up, piddle on your rug, and chew your stuff. Please don't apply to adopt Chewy Booie unless you're sure you have the time, energy and desire to raise her right! HEALTH STATUS General info She is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and dewormed. She appears to be in good health. Once full grown, she will likely be somewhere in the 45 lbs. range. HART does not support pediatric spay/neuter, so Chewy Booie has not been sterilized. You will be required in terms of the adoption contract to have your pup sterilized by the time they are 6 months old. At your request, HART will refund you $100 upon receiving proof of sterilization at your expense. ADOPTION The adoption fee for Chewy Booie is $425. For more pictures of Chewy Booie, see her Facebook album at Chewy Booie on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?vanity=HearthfireAnimalRescueTeam&set=a.1316270720654014 To apply to adopt Chewy Booie, please complete our online adoption application at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAWA-A-138 or email HearthfireART@gmail.com and request an adoption application form. HART dogs live in foster homes, not in a kennel facility. To respect our fosters' privacy, we make our dogs available to meet adopters only after an adoption has been approved.

Story
Meet Mogwai! He is a parvo survivor born on July 3, 2024, he is a male medium mixed breed pup. He comes from a litter of 7 and is one of only 5 survivors. He is all puppy - curious, playful and affectionate. He's eager to learn and smart. Mogwai can be shy and sensitive. He's described as 100% sweetheart! He's crate trained and mostly potty trained in his foster home (as with all puppies, will take time to learn the ropes in his forever home). Mogwai is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. We will give preference to a home with fully fenced yard and would prefer a home with children over age 5. Mogwai can be timid around men, mobility devices and a chaotic environment. He thrives on calm and structured with clear expectations.

Story
Born November 19, 2020, Salem is a female American Staffordshire Terrier/Mastiff mix seeking a forever home. She is good with other dogs and very well socialized with people. Salem's best fit home would be one with breed experience and committed to training her so that she receives a canine good citizen certification. A home with another canine companion (s) would be ideal as this breed requires continued socialization with other dogs. We do require a home with adult or adults and children over 5. Home ownership and fully fenced yard is required as well. Applications can be accessed at www.mikeyschance.com
