Story
There are so many amazing things to say about Mondo Mahomes that it’s hard to list everything here, but we’ll certainly try our best. He has some of the most beautiful, soulful eyes I’ve ever seen. The way he looks up at you with so much love and devotion is something you just can’t comprehend, and his loyalty is unmatched. He’s so photogenic too—from his big, beautiful eyes to his floppy ears, all the way to his cute little tongue that sticks out from time to time. Watch his video and immediately fall in love with his personality: https://youtu.be/WCP-79eZD-M?si=NjwmQ1IBg4cY8xjM Mondo is a pittie mix, approximately 2 years old, currently weighing 60 pounds, and fully grown! He is a rescue dog, and like with any rescue, it’s always a bit of a mystery—we cannot guarantee breed or age. What we can guarantee is that Mondo will be the light of your life, and once you adopt him, it’ll be impossible to imagine your life without him. Mondo is going to steal your heart with his irresistible smile. One thing you’ll never have to worry about with Mondo is whether or not he’ll love you. Mondo absolutely adores people. He greets everyone as if he’s known them his entire life. This boy already has a smile on his face and his tail wagging before you even say hello. He is the definition of man’s best friend—and a ladies’ man too! If you’re a single guy, Mondo will be the best wingman you’ve ever had. He’ll have all the ladies lining up to meet him! He loves to wiggle his way into your lap, lean into you for affection, and never passes up an opportunity to roll over for belly rubs. His charismatic charm and incredibly handsome good looks will be impossible for anyone to resist. Mondo is dog-friendly and has done great around many different types of dogs. He has been in playgroups with upwards of eight dogs, all with different personalities and sizes. Mondo will play in short bursts, but for the most part, you’ll find him relaxing in the shade during a hot day, rolling around on his back in the grass, or hanging out next to you on the patio, soaking up all the love. Mondo is a confident, happy-go-lucky guy who would be perfectly fine as your one and only, too. He doesn’t need the company of another dog to feel comfortable or entertained. In his mind, if he’s your one and only companion, that just means more belly rubs and affection for him! He loves being treated like the prince he is. When he’s not relaxing or snuggling, you’ll find him playing with a tennis ball or his favorite stuffed toy. His favorite game is tug-of-war, especially when his humans are playing along. Ultimately, Mondo loves doing anything that involves being with his people. He’s a people’s dog through and through. Mondo is incredibly smart too! He’s eager to please, loves snacks, and will do anything for a treat, making any future training even more enjoyable. For example, it only took him a few minutes to learn how to sit and follow the “down” command. He’s the type of dog you can teach anything to, thanks to his loyalty and trust in people. If you’re the kind of person who loves teaching your dog new tricks, Mondo is definitely your guy! Mondo has an adventurous heart and will happily be your shotgun-riding partner in crime, ready to go wherever life takes you. But he also has a calm side and knows when it’s time to relax. If you’re having a lazy day, watching football or your favorite show, Mondo will be right there with you. He’ll entertain himself with his favorite stuffed toy or chew while you relax, or he’ll find a cozy spot next to you on the couch. We believe Mondo would do best in a home with a backyard where he can explore, roll in the grass, play with his toys, and enjoy sunny days with you. We are happy to test Mondo with anything you need to ensure it’s the perfect match for you. Just let us know—we can make it happen! Questions? Story
89 pounds of lap dog, and what more could you ask for from a dog like Oso? Oso is a true gentle giant, a homebody lover boy looking for a quiet life as your resident snuggle bug. He loves kids, and he’s amazing with other dogs. He’s soft and gentle and dreamy! We think Oso is a Pittie mix of some sort. He is a rescue, so his exact age and breed are unknown to us and cannot be guaranteed. We estimate his age to be around 5 years old, and he has the mellow temperament to prove it! Fall in love with Oso here: https://youtu.be/YQYJwaFwujs?si=-TH1rgc1zNVOlH-n Oso is a sweet snuggly boy. He loves to kiss, hug and snuggle. Couch snuggles are his favorite, and he’s gentle with his snuggles. No hard tail thwacks or sudden rough jumps into your space, Oso just wants a relaxing snuggle, preferably one that lasts most of the day and well into the night. Oso is an adoring boy- and children are no exception. He did great meeting a thirteen year old, and showed off his “sit” skills with her for treats! While Oso is amazing with children, he is a mellow soul, and the jumps, pokes, and yelling of little ones can sometimes interfere with his mellow state of mind. He would prefer a home with kids twelve and up, and we think he would absolutely thrive as a family dog. Oso is great with other dogs, he does well with dogs of all sizes and energy levels. He is small dog friendly, and has been fostered with small dogs before! He is not overly playful with other dogs, but will play if engaged with. He is incredibly tolerant, and here at the rescue we sometimes use him in behavior assessments with our more unruly dogs, because he is so unbothered! We think Oso would do best in a home with a low to medium energy doggy sibling. Oso is incredibly friendly with everyone he meets, but in our experience he prefers lazy Sundays at home to nights out on the town. He’s great in the car, but gets a little uncomfortable in crowded spaces. He’s a low maintenance boy, happy to hang back at the house while you galavant about town. Oso’s perfect home will have at least one loving human to keep him company, a couch to snuggle, and lots of treats to munch on. At this time, we recommend a kitty-free home for Oso. He would do well with doggy siblings, but could thrive as a solo dog. He could make a wonderful family dog! We think Oso would prefer a home in a more residential area, the countryside or suburbia, to city living. He’s a gentle, mellow boy, and city life is not for him. With any questions, please reach out to his adoption coordinator, whose email is linked below. We are willing to test Oso with anything you need us to in order to ensure he’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. Office dog, family dog, little adventure buddy, whatever you need, Ralphie is here to please! Ralphie is a versatile and adorable little buddy that’s ready to fill that Corgi-sized hole in your heart. We believe Ralphie to be a Corgi, Staffie mix. He’s currently estimated to be around 4 years old, established and calm with many of years of love and happiness ahead of him. Fall in love with Ralphie here: https://youtu.be/JVAE3zp5ny4?feature=shared The first thing you’ll notice about Ralphie is how engaged he is with his people. He’s a huge fan of snuggles on the couch, and loves a good hug. He’s a perfect little office companion and doesn’t mind sitting at your feet for a while, getting pets when he can while you work. He loves treats, and sits so politely for them. While we can’t endorse his dietary choices, he does have a preference for people food over dog treats! He knows that he was born to be spoiled rotten! Ralphie is amazing with other animals. Here at the rescue, he met all kids of dogs and did well with every dog he met! He was sweet and interactive with a large playful female, respectful with a more relaxed female, and perfectly polite with a low energy medium sized male dog. He shared toys and affection well with other dogs here at the rescue. See Ralphie interact with other dogs in his video! Ralphie did great meeting Mateo, a twenty pound male terrier mix. We believe that Ralphie is small dog friendly! Ralphie also met Poe, a teeny tiny black kitten. He was sweet and friendly with her, and left her alone after a few sniffs. Ralphie is cat tolerant and could live with dog-savvy kitties. Ralphie is warm and friendly with everyone he meets. He needs a little bit of practice walking on leash, but considering how food-motivated and eager-to-please he is, he’ll be perfect on leash in no time! He would make a perfect little “go anywhere” dog, accompanying you on outings, to the park, the cafe, or even on a roadtrip. Ralphie is a fun loving and versatile guy- here at the rescue, he briefly met a four year old, and we could totally see him as a family dog! He is on the gentler, more mellow side of the energy spectrum, so we think we would do best in a home with mild-mannered, calmer kiddos. Ralphie could live in a house on an apartment, he’s easy to please and ready to come home with you! We are willing to test Ralphie with anything you need us to in order to ensure he is the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: ● Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family ● Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test ● 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion ● A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions ● 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription ● Coupons for a fun visit to Petco ● 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions ● Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer ● Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time. https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
