Story
**All dogs are by appointment only, please inquire through Petfinder, Adopt-a-pet, Rescueme.org or e-mail us directly at shelter@hbpets.org for the dogs questionnaire*** Meet Ryan, Neutered Male, Pitbull Mix, 12mths old and the sweetest boy ever!!! Ryan was picked up after running all over a city in Yamhill County, he had terrible skin issues, covered in fleas, underweight and a fair amount of fur loss. His skin was on fire from it being infected and itchy, but that didn't matter to him, he was so happy that he was out of the weather and safe in the finders car. From day 1, this guy has been incredibly sweet, he has let us do multiple medical treatments, he learned our routine within days of arriving, very eager to learn, loves getting petted, has had dogs on both side of him without issue. He would love to be someones traveling partner, hiking companion, movie watcher, tennis ball fetcher, cuddle buddy. Ryan has allergies, we did the testing and have the results, Ryan is allergic to basically the Willamette Valley, he would thrive at the beach or eastern Oregon, somewhere that is not covered in grass/trees, once away from the valley, his allergies will clear. He is really the best boy, he loves all dogs, listens well, recall is almost perfect, he knows tons of commands and walks well on a harness. My adoption fee is $250

My name is Tito I am approximately 6 years old and I know my manners. At times I may get excited and jump but just remind me to stay off and I'll do great. I am very active and just love to run even if it's just in circles so with that being said I will need an active family and a fenced yard where I can let out my zoomies! NO CATS PLEASE

Maybelle is a sweet, cuddly girl who needs someone who can devote more time to her. She’d love nothing more than a 10 min walk and then a tv marathon snuggled up on a couch. She’d love nothing will be 6 this December, and is house trained, crate trained, up to date on vaccines, and has lived with dogs and cats before.

Story
Leeah is the sweetest dog who we saved from a shelter over a year ago. Unfortunately, due to a new job, we have to move states are are unable to take her with us. She lives with two cats and completely leaves them alone. She loves walks, and is only aggressive to others dogs when she is on a leash. She is somewhere around 6 years old. Besides missing an eye, she has nothing medically special. You also do not have to do anything with the eye care- she is self sufficient. She is perfectly happy being dropped off at Suite Dog Daze LLC for daycare or over night stays. She has not problems with the vet. She is fine with baths. All she wants to do is nap all day and stay asleep on the couch- but she will also go anywhere with you and be very excited about it. Fully kennel trained, and great in the car.

Story
Meet Bear! Some dogs are naturally easygoing with everyone they meet. Bear is not that dog—and that’s exactly what makes him so special. Bear is a 2-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier, weighing about 55 lbs. of loyalty, sensitivity, and deep devotion to his person. He forms strong, meaningful bonds and is incredibly protective of the people he trusts. Because of this, Bear is looking for a very specific kind of home. He would do best with a single woman or a couple in a calm, low-traffic environment where he doesn’t have to constantly meet new people. New faces can be overwhelming for him, and he needs about five days to truly settle in and build trust. But once he does, his loyalty runs deep—and it’s something really special. Bear’s story has shaped who he is. He previously lived on the streets and experienced instability, which means he approaches the world with caution. He may be wary at first, but he is not without heart—he just needs someone who understands that trust is earned over time, not given immediately. With other dogs, Bear is actually very respectful and submissive. He’s dog-friendly and does well with calm, balanced companions, though large or chaotic pack environments can be overwhelming for him. He thrives best in a more structured and predictable setting. Bear is housebroken and does well with routine. He would do best in a home without children or cats, where his boundaries are understood and respected. What Bear needs most is someone patient, experienced, and willing to meet him where he is. Someone who sees past his initial hesitation and is willing to give him the time and space he needs to feel safe. In return, you’ll gain a deeply loyal, protective companion who will be by your side through everything. Bear isn’t for everyone—but for the right person, he’s everything. His adoption fee is $295 and he is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Apply to meet Bear today! 🐾
