Story
Meet Kingston! He's so handsome boy and he loves his people, a velcro dog as they say! With the most soulful eyes and a sweet head that often cocks to the side when spoken to, he has the cutest little trick he does with his paw that he developed and a tail that rarely stops wagging! Kingston knows sit and takes his treats gently and enjoys cuddling up to his person or on the couch with pillows. He also likes running and playing in the yard. And when he goes out on his walks and visits, he brings a smile to all those he meets. He's a favorite at the vet! He has had all of his vaccines and neutered. He is approximately 5 years old. He is so eager to please and would thrive being an "only dog" family or personal companion. He deserves a loving and happy home who will give him all the love that he has ready to share in return! His main desire is to be King of your heart...

Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation FREE if picked up in TN, $175 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Mei is the kind of dog who bounces into your day with pure joy and a big smile that makes everything feel lighter. She is a happy-go-lucky sweetheart with a playful spark, the perfect mix of medium-high energy when the toys come out and soft cuddles when she’s ready to settle in. She is a natural comedian. Mei gives full body hugs, showers you with kisses and chases her toys with so much enthusiasm that she sometimes tosses them for herself. At about 2 years old and 45 pounds, she is a charming mystery mix with perky ears, a chocolate and tan coat and a stocky little frame that only adds to her character. She might have a hint of Doberman, maybe some Australian Kelpie and some Pit Bull Terrier. Mei already knows how to sit for a treat and she learns quickly. She is doing well with housetraining when kept on a routine and she trots happily into her crate for a treat, settling after a little whine. She loves to zoom around the yard and will play fetch for as long as you want. If you love watching a dog light up with pure joy, she is your girl. Mei does have food allergies and needs to stay on a hydrolyzed protein prescription diet. When she arrived she had no fur and was miserable, but with proper care she has blossomed into a shiny, happy pup. She will need to stay on her special diet to keep feeling her best. She gets along well with friendly, submissive dogs, seems neutral with cats and enjoys every person she meets. She rides well in the car and would benefit from a fenced yard where she can stretch her legs and enjoy her zoomies. After a tough start in life, Mei is more than ready for the fairy tale ending she deserves. If you think you might be her match, reach out to us for more information.  Interested in adopting? Story
COURTESY LISTINGThis dog is a courtesy listing (not in the AARF program) but we will be reviewing applications and helping the owner find the right home for Bowser. Please visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-app/ to apply. Bowser is a big-hearted, big-energy boy who’s ready to find a home that can keep up with his zest for life. At just 2 years old, this handsome Boxer/Pit Bull mix weighs around 70 pounds and brings a whole lot of love, intelligence, and personality wherever he goes. Bowser is brilliant, energetic, and affectionate. He absolutely adores kids, but because of his strength and enthusiasm, supervision is recommended around younger children. He gets along well with some dogs, but he would truly shine as an only dog, where he can soak up all the attention. Bowser is convinced he’s a lap dog and will happily try to cuddle his way into your heart (and your personal space). He’s also quite vocal and loves to “talk back,” which is endlessly entertaining and makes his personality really stand out. This smart guy already knows several commands, including sit, come, off, heel, no, and lay down. He is fully house-trained with no accidents and is very comfortable in a crate—he even sleeps in one regularly. If you love to run, Bowser might just be your perfect match. Running is his favorite thing in the world! He also loves chasing a ball and playing tug-of-war and will happily keep going long after you’re tired. He needs plenty of space to stretch his legs and burn off energy. Bowser would do best in an active, structured environment. He’d especially love having an active older child or teen (around 13 years old) to run and play with. If you’re looking for a loyal, energetic, and endlessly entertaining companion who will keep you moving and laughing, Bowser might just be your perfect match!  Interested in adopting?
