COURTESY LISTINGThis dog is a courtesy listing (not in the AARF program) but we will be reviewing applications and helping the owner find the right home for SOPHIE. Please visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-app/ to apply. Sensational Sophie is a happy, personable 2-3 year-old American Staffordshire Terrier who has tons of love to give! With her beautiful black coat and an adorable underbite, Sophie is a bundle of love in a pint-size body. This sweet girl weighs in at 40 pounds, and her tail will practically lift her off the ground when it’s wagging. Sophie loves playing with all kinds of toys – she can entertain herself for hours! She loves hard chew toys in addition to stuffed toys and playing tug-of-war. This good-natured gal has a high energy level when running and playing, but then will curl up quietly on the couch to watch tv with you. She hasn't been around kids, but we think she would be fine with older kids who won’t be knocked about by her happy tail. Sophie does well in the car, sitting nicely in the back seat. When she’s in her crate, she snuggles into her bed and goes right to sleep. Sophie seems to be housebroken and has picked up well on most house manners (though she does hog the whole couch and empties the toy basket every day)! She is also comfortable letting herself in and out of doggie doors. Sophie likes to run around the yard on a long lead and has excellent recall, running towards her foster parents with a big ole grin on her face. She still needs to learn more leash etiquette, but she will make up for that with lots of kisses. Sophie would do best as an only dog, though she can do well with other dogs under supervision. Her enthusiasm for affection is a 10/10, so if you’re ready to be bowled over by a dog who will love you and snuggle you, ask to meet Miss Sophie!  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. March 27, 2024, 11:13 am

Story
Meet Jack, a sweet, friendly, and gentle soul, whose playful antics and smart tricks will make you laugh out loud. He`s a cuddly companion who is always ready for a good snuggle. Despite being passed around a minimum of three times, his spirit remains unbroken. He`s a well-mannered adult who is house trained and has a knack for getting along with other dogs and children. His intelligence and playful demeanor make him a joy to be around. Jack`s gentle, friendly nature and his infectious sense of humor make him a wonderful addition to any family. He`s not just a pet, he`s a loyal friend, a confidante, and a source of unconditional love and joy. Adopt Jack and let his sweetness and charm fill your home with happiness. Thanks to a generous donor, my adoption fee has been reduced to $40

Story
Lucy came to us through unfortunate events. My dad got sick and there was no one to take care of her. We have 3 cats and 3 dogs of our own. She was the only dog for my dad and they had been each other's best friends for 7 years. She is used to being the only dog of the house. She is an amazingly sweet dog who loves to love and get love. She's playful and loves to run around in a large yard. She loves tennis balls and comfy beds. She is house trained, crate trained and does well on car rides. She is very good with people and has not had any issues with our cats. She has not been the best of friends with our dogs causing us to play musical dogs between her and ours with potty breaks and getting inside time with us. She has never been able to get along with our larger dogs. We can only have her loose with our smallest dog, Chewy, who is a pug. We have had her 6 months since Dad passed. We want her to have a home where she is the only dog and can get all the attention she craves.

These pups are in Crossville, Tennessee too!

This handsome guy is ready for adoption and needs an energetic family to play with. He's sweet and gentle in that he will allow you to take things right out of his mouth; he is not food aggressive. . He loves to run and play and get the zoomies. Loves playing fetch, people, children, and other dogs. Gus needs some training too as he jumps on people out of excitement to see them. House trained.
