She came from an accidental litter. The woman was dealing with caring for 8 grandkids and then the 5 puppies and mother dog. I sponsored the spay surgery for her mom and took Boss Lady into rescue. She was emaciated and crawling with fleas and skin issues. She is called Boss cause she was the only female out of the litter. Loves food and attention. You have to show her who’s boss or she will rule your heart. Cute sweet who’s two years old and still thinks she’s a puppy. She gets the zoomies!

Story
Sweet easy going girl. She was out in front of Fed Ex on Winchester rd fixing to get hit by a semi truck! She was rescued while I was on my way to trap another stray reported dog. Emaciated and with no hope she did not care that she was in the middle of traffic with her head down smelling for food in the road. I diverted traffic with my own car to save her life. Ushered her down a side street and lured her in my car with cheese. I took her with me to trap the other dog and git AC out to pick her up. I could not let her die in the shelter so she was pulled from the kill list. Baylee is a sweet calm dog who does well in play groups with other dogs. Sweet bully mix. Crate trained and knows tricks for treats.

Story
Hi! Meet Rosie, we found her wondering around my neighborhood hanging out with children. No one could take her in so I did. Unfortunately i already have 2 dogs so i cannot keep her. We tried finding her previous owner for over a month now but no one has reached out. She’s super sweet, loves cuddles, and is learning how to play. It seems like she hasn’t played before. I’m not sure of her age but she looks young to me, maybe 2 years old? She’s also spayed because we saw a mark on her belly when we found her. We keep her seperated from my two dogs because my dogs are very territorial. While keeping them seperated we have had to switch them out from room to room so they can have equal roam of the house and equal amount of cuddles! She is the sweetest girl and we just want what’s best for her.

Story
Meet Pauletta: A Strong and Sweet Survivor Pauletta is a striking fawn and white English Bulldog pit mix with a heart as big as her muscles. At around 6 to 7 years old and weighing about 60 lbs, Pauletta is as strong as an ox—she’s got the power of a linebacker and could easily pull a grown man off his feet! Even a pinch collar doesn’t slow her down. Despite her strength, Pauletta is one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. She adores massages and will happily relax by your side when given some love and attention. Pauletta’s story is one of resilience. She was confiscated as part of a cruelty case when she was just about a year old, but that hasn’t dimmed her spirit. Now, she’s ready for a forever home where she can be safe and loved. Because of her strong personality, Pauletta isn’t great with other dogs. She tends to be a bit of a bully, nudging them around as if to challenge them, so she’s best suited for a home where she can be the only pet. Due to her strength and temperament, she should be exercised in a backyard rather than on the street. If you’re looking for a strong, loving companion who has overcome adversity and is ready to be your loyal sidekick, Pauletta is your girl! If you would like to be considered for adoption, please complete the adoption questionnaire on our website www.heartsofgoldpitrescue.com.

Story
Beans is 8 or so years old. She’s a sweet dog who loves attention. I was given her after a friends father passed but she messed up my allergies so much I would rather her go to a home with someone who can play and interact with her as much as she wants. I have a kennel and some toys for her that can go with whoever adopts her.

Story
Hi! My name is Gruber, but everyone calls me Griffin (Or Griff or Big G!). I heard that I am the 2nd longest dog in the MAS system, but I don't know why because I'm told I am incredibly handsome! You should know that I am not a big fan of other dogs. They make me anxious, so as you can imagine, being at the shelter was very stressful. Luckily, my now foster mom played with me in the yard and decided to bring me home with her, and that has been great. When I first went to my foster home, they always tried to pet me and love on me, and I didn't understand this "cuddling" when we could be playing instead. Then I figured out how incredible belly rubs are, and now I like to get those all the time! I try to crawl into foster mom's lap, but it's a hard fit but worth the effort. I learned really quickly that I potty outside, and proud to say I never have accidents! I am a homebody. I am happiest in the comfort of my own space. I love having a backyard where I can play, run, and feel safe. I would enjoy a home where I can watch sports and movies with you or watch you play video games. I am also good at entertaining myself with a Benabone or staring at shadows on the wall while my foster mom works on the computer. Some of my likes are belly rubs, peanut butter-filled Kongs, and playing keep away! Im the champ at keep away. As soon as foster dad gets home, I look for the closest toy I can find so we can play, and I always win! You see, I am a VERY happy boy. I prefer to be the only pet in my home since other dogs make me anxious. If you think you would be the home I've been waiting for, just let my foster mom know!" If you would like to be considered for adoption, please complete the adoption questionnaire on our website www.heartsofgoldpitrescue.com.
