Story
Wrecker is a goofy boy who seems to love everyone. He's a fairly good leash walker and has adjusted pretty well to life in the kennels at HES. When going through the hallways, he simply ignores all of the other dogs. Wrecker is very sweet and is working on his manners - specifically, not jumping up when overly excited. He loves to play with toys, engaging his person and being petted while he holds them.

Story
Pooh was a rescue dog. She was found as a stray homeless, starving, and abused on the side of the road. We have loved and cared for her for the last 4 years, however due to a growing family and infants with severe pet dander allergies I am having to rehome my baby. She is very loving and a big baby. She loves attention, kids, and other animals. She has a fear of men with a deep voice. We think that she was abused by a man. She is very sweet and wants to be a lap dog. She is house broken and loves to be played with and loved on.

FINN is one of the calmest, kindest souls we have met. He is a loving boy who wants nothing more than to please his humans. If you are interested in HOOCH or in adopting a pup in general, the first step is an adoption application. Download an adoption application here Please email the completed application to adoptionteam4.woofriver@gmail.com Please submit an application rather than an inquiry with no application attached. TURNER and HOOCH were born approximately January 1, 2024. Luckily these little nuggets were able to stay with their mom and siblings until they were 7 weeks old. This is an amazing gift for puppies in rescue. Being with their mom during this important developmental time is priceless. At 7 weeks old they went into their very own foster home together in order to get more individual attention and ensure they become happy and well-adjusted pooches. These gorgeous boys are just bursting with puppy love, puppy kisses, puppy snuggles, and puppy playfulness. They adore people, other dogs, and kids. They have been socialized a ton! TURNER and HOOCH soak up all the cuddles and affection they can get. They excelled at crate training and are mastering their potty training. They have an inquisitive nature about them and love exploring the world around them. With one of these kids, every day’s a great day! Their forever families will be hitting the puppy jackpot! Story
Dixie is a little over a year old and has had it rough in life so far. She's already had two litters of puppies. We adopted her from the shelter where she had been for a month and had been returned twice, so we are reluctant to return her bc we fear they will kill her. She is PURE LOVE. We adopted her to play with our older dog, but they just don't get along. The older dog is the issue here, not Dixie. Staffies are the original velcro, they often suffer from separation anxiety. So Dixie needs a person who can be with her a lot and show her fun times. She does well in stores, great with kids and cats too. She's been in the shelter for a month and is desperate for some love and attention. She loves lap naps and has shown no aggression towards the other animals including the chickens. She will go to the bathroom outside but needs assistance with telling her human that she has to go out at night. She is very smart and will do anything to please.
