Story

Sadie is a foster that came to us after being thrown from a car. She has an arthritic limp caused from the resulting injury, but this doesn't slow her down. She likes hikes in the woods, playing catch with her treats, chasing squirrels, and snuggles. She is a happy, active little dog with a big personality. Sadie is very affectionate and gets along great with people and other dogs. She is sensitive and doesn't like to displease. Meals are her favorite part of the day, but when necessary, she will let you take food away from her. She has been raised on a healthy diet, but her motto is "Life is a party and everything is good to eat!" She doesn't get along with cats. She comes when called and knows the commands: "wait," "stay," "sit," and "shake." She is a year and a half and weighs 40lbs. She has a bed, winter cloths and heartworm/flea meds, that she'll bring with her to her new home. Our desire is to find her a home where she will be active, happy, and healthy.

Lemmie has the most beautiful fur that is milk chocolate in color; it almost looks velvety, especially in the sun. Plus, he has gorgeous brown eyes to match! He's not just a looker, though, he's also amazingly sweet and loves to snuggle. He enjoys playing with toys as well as going on walks. He does well on a leash and loves to sniff on his leisurely strolls. In addition, he is a quick learner, knowing "Sit" and now working on "Down". His foster mom says Jake has the "model look to him. He lays down and when you stop petting him, he looks back at you with "Blue Steel." Of course, this look often ends with more pets and kisses for the sweet boy. How could you not just love all over this boy? Jake loves to cuddle on the couch and be by your side soaking up all the love. After being stuck in the shelter, Jake has been working so hard on his doggie manners and wants to show you how far he's come. He can sit, lie down, and has been working on learning to stay. He is potty trained and loves to be outside in a yard with his family. He doesn't much care for the crate, but his foster family is committed to showing him it can be a pawsitive place. Jake is a gentle boy and sensitive. After his last vet visit, he looked quite sad, so his foster mom took him to get a pup-cup and it made him very happy again. Jake will require continued spoiling and love, as he deserves the best. Jake is living with 2 other dogs in his foster family and loves having play mates. They get along very well outside of treat time. Jake would prefer not to share. It's likely best to feed Jake separately from other resident dogs since he's still learning that sharing is caring. This Jake Gyllenpaws isn't a fan of cats. A home without felines is best for him. Jake is a velco boy and loves to be with his family. His human foster brother is turning out to be his best friend. Jake is learning to be gentle with him because he gets so excited when he sees him. Although Jake hasn't met any smaller children, we think he would do well with kids over 10.
