Story
Huck is ready for his forever home! He’s a slobbery, wrinkly, hot mess of a boy but he is soooo much fun. He loves cuddles and car rides. He likes toys and going for walks. Most of all, he loves treats. He’ll do just about anything for a treat. He’s 60lbs but he’s short. He is for the most part crate trained with the occasional accident. Hes great with other dogs (but he will guard his food and needs to be fed separately and in a crate). He doesn’t seem to notice cats. He needs to be in a home with no young children as they seem to make him nervous and he needs a home that is comfortable utilizing a crate for training purposes. We also just learned he is in kidney failure. He is on medication but his time is unknown. We would love to see his in his own home for the remainder of his life. Hospice fosters are also welcome to give this guy comfort.

Story
Mr. T. is a sweet, loving, goofy, playful boy around 4-5 years old. Good with everybody he meets; he's never met a person he didn't want to love and lick. Does well with other dogs and children - unsure about cats (he's never been introduced to one). He's lived outside most of his life, but also does well inside and is potty trained. He's neutered, up to date on shots, and will be starting treatment for heartworm very soon. We are in search of a good home for him after his owner passed away. Would love more than anything to keep him but we rent and aren't allowed pets + have no yard. No adoption fee but must go to a good home with people who only have his best interest in mind.

Story
Please contact Tonya Griffith (TMSGriffith@aol.com) for more information about this pet.Posted 12/13/17 and pictures taken 11/29/17.  He keeps his ears down when I try to get more videos of him, so I have not updated his pictures yet.  I picked Axel up from the Smith County, TX Animal Shelter on 11/29/17.  He had been picked up on CR 3140 on 11/8/17 weighing 30 pounds, and estimated to be 4 years old.  He was scared in the kennel at the shelter.  Once out of the kennel, he was in my lap licking my face while I was signing his release papers, good on a leash, and likes going for rides.  I have let him run around several of my dogs with no problems, but he can act dominant to some other male dogs.  He was neutered on 1/5/2018.  He does not like being inside a home, so he requires a fenced yard with shelter, and although I put him on my lap at the shelter, he is not a lap dog.  He does jump on my leg to get my attention to pet him. He was heartworm positive when I got him from the shelter, and has been on heartworm prevention since, so he should be negative by now using the slow kill treatment. D.O.B.:     ? 2013 Weight:     30.0 - 11/8/17 $25 adoption fee.  He had donations toward his vet care.November 6, 2024, 12:13 am
