Story
OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Bella was adopted from our facility last summer, sadly, she came back as a stray and the contact information we had for her owner is not longer valid. Bella is a high energy girl that loves being with people. She is reactive when behind a barrier, but when out and about, she enjoys playing with other dogs, but can be a little bossy sometimes and is curious about cats. She walks pretty well on the leash, appears house rained and knows the sit, shake and down commands. She enjoys playing with toys and would love to have a home that she can call her own as soon as possible. Weighs 50 pounds; $25 to adopt.

FLOYD NEEDS A HOME ASAP!Floyd is really tired of being here; he rarely gets up to greet people when they stop by his kennel.OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF:Floyd is such a sweet and silly boy with lots of energy. He loves playing with other dogs in our dog playgroups, but may chase a cat unless trained not to. He’s a little mouthy when taking treats; caution should be used when around younger children with food. He’s a bit jumpy, and we are training him to sit nicely. He does pull on the leash when going for walks but knows the sit command.Weigh 60 pounds

Scooby has been here one and half years. He is so sweet and is pretty calm, but more than willing to play hard.I got him neutered and he is up to date on all his shots. He and Annie are best of friends. He came in the house when he first came here and did super great. While he was in the house, he showed me that he was house trained and well behaved. He is about 2 to 2 1/2 years old now.He was fine with my cat and other dogs, he is super with all the people and kids that have come to visit him.

Story
REPORTED BY FORMER OWNER:Loves swimming, open fields and long trail walks. Good with small breed dogs. Favorite toy is a water hose! OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Buddah is such an awesome dog! Wow - we cannot get over how great he is! He is great with people, loves to play rough and rowdy with people and toys (former owner did state he could get possessive with toys around other dogs). He has been a rock star in our dog playgroups at the shelter. When indoors, he appears house trained and will soak up as much attention as you’ll give! He will gently nudge your hand if you stop petting him. He’s also happy to lay down on a dog bed and entertain himself. He likes to play fetch and will bring the ball right back to you and drop it at your feet. He would hoard the tennis balls if you let him! OBSERVED BY TRAINER; Such a happy boy! He looks shy and unsure in his kennel, but as soon as you get him into the play yard he just wants to run around with the other dogs. He can get a bit tense, so I recommend more submissive dogs if he is going to live with other dogs, and as always, a calm, consistent owner who can help him make good choices and behave appropriately in public. He seems timid around corrections, and is actually quite sensitive.Being a black dog, Buddah is at a disadvantage because black animals get overlooked in a shelter environment – please seek him out! He’s a great dog!Weighs 63 pounds; $25 to adopt.

OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Moogle is a sweet and handsome boy! He needs some help learning how to walk nicely on the leash, but appears to be house trained and knows the sit and shake commands. He a curios fellow that likes to know what’s going around him. He’s treat-motivated and is gentle when taking them from your hand. He is a bit shy with fast reaches over his head/back area. Would do best in a home with older, dog-savvy children. He doesn’t seem to be a fan of cats and is unsure how he feels towards other dogs. He loves to play with toys; especially tug-of-war! When he wins, he will shake the toy around in victory. Weighs 65 pounds; $25 to adopt.

Story
Miko is truly an experience that fills your heart with love and compassion. From the moment he was rescued approximately at six months old, it was evident that he had endured a difficult start in life. He was discovered in a state of poor health, burdened by fleas and even had a wire wrapped around his neck. This unfortunate past has left Miko with a timid nature, as if the world had not always been kind to him. However, once you earn his trust, you are welcomed into a world of the biggest and sweetest personality imaginable. His ability to play with other dogs is a testament to his resilient spirit. Regularly attending daycare allowed him to socialize and form meaningful connections with his furry companions. However it is crucial to acknowledge that Miko's past experiences have left him easily scared by loud noises and sudden movements. As a result, he may not be best fit for households with young children who may inadvertently cause him distress.  Miko's gentle nature shines through, as he has never displayed any signs of aggression towards anyone. If we were to summarize Miko's essence in just three words, they would undoubtedly be loyal, gentle, and playful. He has proven himself to be a loyal companion, always by your side through thick and thin. His gentleness radiates from him, making him an absolute joy to be around. And his playful nature brings endless laughter and happiness to those fortunate enough to share their lives with him. In terms of his overall well-being, Miko is a picture of health. He is both crate and potty trained, a testament to his intelligence and adaptability. Additionally, he has been neutered and is up to date on all of his necessary shots.  The only minor obstacle he faces is mild allergies and dry skin, which are effectively managed through the use of soothing coconut oil. In conclusion, Miko is a remarkable companion who deserves all the love and care in the world. His journey from a troubled past to a bright future is a testament to his resilience and capacity for forgiveness. Opening your heart to Miko means inviting an unwavering loyalty, a gentle soul, and an endless source of joy into your life. He is a true gem, ready to embark on a new chapter of love and happiness with a forever family. We offer transport from Houston to the Pacific Northwest every two weeks.  And guess what? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis.  We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wondering our streets.  So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home.  Many never even had a home and were born on the streets.  WE gave them a chance.  Every animal deserves a chance.  For more info visit www.springbranchrescue.org ##1968778##
