Story
OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Bella likes to have a good time! She’s a lively girl that would like someone to play with toys with her. She’s a strong girl that needs some fine tuning on her leash manners. She knows the sit and shake commands and appears house trained. Although she may chase a cat unless trained not to, she has done pretty well in our dog playgroups at the shelter. She would enjoy a home with an active person or family with respectful children. Medical Note: Bella came in with a case or ringworm on her right thigh. She has been treated with medication for 30 days and it is now no longer contagious. Weighs 67 pounds; $25 to adopt.

Dexter needs a home where he’s not left alone a lot. He also needs a lot of exercise if he’s going to be left. He does get separation anxiety. He is a typical boxer, meaning he thinks he’s a lap dog. His temperament is very sweet.

Story
Love the personality of a boxer but needing a smaller dog? Look no further! This boy is the epitome of a love bug. Goofy and playful, he thinks everyone is his best friend. He loves rough housing with big and small dogs alike and even confident cats. He loves running in his yard or fun hikes/walks, but loves to lay at your feet or crawl in an empty lap to watch some shows. He’s crate trained at night and is working on basic obedience and learning so quickly!

I got Jax when we was 4 m months old. He was rescued from California. He is a good dog. Loves to ride in my Jeep but does pant alot when ridding in cars. We now have 4 kids in out house and he needs a home where he will get the attention and love he deserves. Get along with other dogs but wild do better with one or no others, does much better by himself. He is a big teddy bear. Very sweet and loving. He loves being outside but thinks he is a inside lap dog.

Story
Introducing Jackson, or as we like to call him, Jack Teller - a true survivor who has overcome countless obstacles in his journey. Imagine finding him at an intersection, abandoned and scared, anxiously waiting for his owners to return. It breaks your heart, doesn't it? But don't worry, this story has a happy ending. Despite his rough start, Jack Teller has blossomed into a remarkable companion. Like any dog, he was initially wary of new faces, but it didn't take long for him to realize that there are kind-hearted souls out there who only want to shower him with love and affection. And boy, did he surprise us all! Jack Teller turned out to be the friendliest pup around, melting hearts left and right with his warm greetings and wagging tail. He's not just good with people, but dogs too - a true social butterfly! Like many of our Tx dogs he is being treated for heartworms. NOTHING to worry about as this is very common here.  We will provide the medication to continue his treatment.   If you're looking for a hiking buddy or simply a furry friend to join you on leisurely strolls, Jack Teller is your guy. He absolutely loves going on walks and exploring the great outdoors. Plus, he's a pro when it comes to crate training. Talk about an all-around good boy! But here's the best part - this gentle soul is a hidden treasure, waiting to be discovered by the perfect forever family. We believe that every dog deserves a loving home, and Jack Teller is no exception. That's why we make regular trips to the Pacific Northwest, including a special stop in Bellingham, WA, just for our Canadian friends. If you're interested in adopting Jack Teller or want to find out more about him, head over to www.springbranchrescue.org. Don't miss out on the chance to welcome this incredible pup into your life. Trust us, it'll be a decision you won't regret. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis.  We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wondering our streets.  So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home.  Many never even had a home and were born on the streets.  WE gave them a chance.  Every animal deserves a chance. We know if adopted by you they will be loved and cared for . We believe in our local and out of state applicants.  There is a reason we drive to the Pacific Northwest every 2 weeks.  You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters and we need more like them.  No matter if you live here in Houston, the Pacific Northwest or Canada we welcome you!  Thank you for considering to adopt and not shop.  If we are in Houston, then how can you see our posts?   Spring Branch Rescue has fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Yes our rescue is in Houston.  Our available animals live with foster families.  This is a win for you as the transition from our home to yours will be a much easier one.  We do have foster homes in your area.  This is why you are able to see our posts.  Unfortunatelly Meet & Greets have been cancelled due to Covid Restrictions.  Almost all our animals traveling have been adopted.  We have been doing this since 2019 and very successful.  Please take a look at our adopters reviews https://greatnonprofits.org/org/spring-branch-rescue ##1714321##

Story
Trinidad 801-735-6496We bought him as a puppy and has been with a family of 6. He is good around toddlers, kids, people. We have not trained him to be around other dogs. He does pull on walks and is Alfa around other dogs. He is a shorty. We are not sure if the owner tried to crop his ears. His testicles never dropped.
