Story
Meet Charlie Biggie, the lovable low-rider with a heart of gold! This chunky, possibly beagle mix is a true gem, embodying the best qualities of canine companionship. Charlie's idea of bliss? A soothing back massage. Yes, you read that right—this guy knows how to unwind and enjoy the finer things in life. With experience around young children, Charlie has proven himself to be a gentle giant, adoring the company of people of all ages. His low-energy demeanour makes him the perfect cuddle buddy for lazy afternoons or leisurely strolls around the neighbourhood. While he prefers shorter walks, he's always up for a little adventure. On the leash, Charlie is a dream—well-behaved and content to amble along at a relaxed pace. And when it comes to meeting other furry friends, he's as submissive as can be, getting along famously with both male and female dogs. Toys? Oh, Charlie adores them! From day one, he's been a playful pup, happily carrying his treasures outside for a nibble in the sunshine. Story
Petey, a nod to the famed dog known for the ring around his eye, is our very own little rascal! This dude is sweetness on four legs and you can see it from a mile away thanks to his huge smile and the way his whole body wags with his tail. He is as friendly as they come, eager to meet anyone he can and always ready to show off a few skills for a treat. Petey is estimated to be 3 years old and is possibly an American Staffordshire Terrier/American Bulldog mix but in rescue we can never be 100% sure. He currently weighs 56 lbs and is full grown, so this little barrel is exactly what you are getting for the long-haul. An ideal home for Petey would have at least one person who love dog snuggles and thinks dreaming snores are cute, along with a yard- for running, jumping, playing and sunbathing. A basic formula for living ones best doggy life! No cats though, Petey’s interest to make everyone his friend and playmate doesn’t fly for cats. When he met out house cat it was easy to see he would likely start a playful game of chase, causing chaos and confusion for the cat. The classic- dogs are from Mars and cats are from Venus cliche. He is low to the ground so occasionally he will do a little jump for attention but a couple reminders and a request for a sit and he is all ears. If you have a treat in your hand, he speaks treat! You wanna teach him something? Just flash those snacks, and he's all in for impressing you. Petey was great meeting other dogs of all sizes. He was happy to exist and occasionally get a moment of chase in wit the other dogs but he never showed us much dog-to-dog play. He could easily be an only dog given he gets his truest joy from his people. Play-style can also appear once a dog is settled in their forever home and a moderately playful companion would fit him best. How could I almost forget to share his love of toys? He is adorably obsessed and we were all just as obsessed seeing him pick one he loved and carry it around then share it for a game of tug-o-war. But don’t worry, he’s cool with sharing or dropping them when asked. And while he's a barrel of playfulness and snuggles, he'll mesh best with older kids who get his playful, beefy vibe and won’t get knocked over by his love. So, striking face, healthy waist, and wants to stay at your place. You buy the toys and he will bring the fun! Sounds like a match made in heaven to me! Petey is available for adoption now! If you have any questions about Petey or would like us to test him for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! We can make most anything happen to ensure he is the correct fit for you and your life! Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
Teddy’s name fits him so well! He is soft and cozy, a warm brown color, and the kind of thing that just makes everyone feel better- a teddy bear. This dog basically ran away with my heart the moment I met him. He is a barrel of happy, giddy, playful love! In rescue we cannot be sure about breed and age but we believe Teddy is some type of American Staffordshire Terrier mix and is estimated to be 3 years old. He looks like a big ol’ French bulldog to me. Weighing in at 62 lbs, he is bringing big love, which makes for the best hugs and snuggles! Now that we got the stats out of the way I can tell you all about his personality and the host of awesome traits he has. Teddy has been fortunate to be fostered in a loving home where he has learned great house manners including being both house and crate trained! Love that! Teddy has never met a stranger and wants everyone to have the, Teddy experience, which starts with kisses and ends in love. Teddy bears are meant for kids and this one is no exception, he is so tolerant and is great with kids. We would give him the family man approved badge. He is also a great car rider, who is always up for being your adoring passenger prince. If he isn’t cute enough on his own, give him a toy and watch the cuteness go up even more! He loves toys, sharing then with his people easily, and his favorite game is tug of war. He is strong so feel free to log those play sessions in as exercise even if it is mostly an exercise in fun. A play session is great exercise for Teddy but when its time for a walk, Teddy is ready! He loves to get out and smell the world! He has basic leash skills but he is a bully boy, smart and strong, so he may need you to remind him of the “rules’ on leash. Don’t worry though, put some treats in your pocket and he will remember. As for other pets, Teddy would love to be your one and only and has the love to fill the role. He doesn’t need another dog to be happy, just his people. The bully breeds have a funny way of playing with other dogs that not all dogs appreciate. He has met a few dogs that like how he plays but that doesn’t bother him at all, he has moved on to being a peoples dog. When he met our house cat Tom he was a little too interested, he would likely try to give a cat a good chase, which they sure hate, so no feline friends for Teddy. A good-looking, loving, happy-go-lucky boy with sooooo much love to give! Teddy is ready too be your best boy! Adopt Teddy today and you’ll quickly know what it feels like to be absolutely adored! If you have any questions about Teddy or would like us to test him for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! We can make most anything happen to ensure he is the correct fit for you and your life! Please email priya@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions.
