Y’all, Ollie Scout is one of those dogs who makes you want to wrap him up in the biggest hug and promise him that everything is going to be okay. Between his uniquely handsome coloring, ridiculously sweet face, and gentle little soul, he is almost impossible not to fall in love with. Ollie may need a little time to decide you are safe, but once he does, this shy guy transforms into the sweetest cuddle bug and biggest snuggle bud. We believe he may be a Pittie mix, but with animal rescue, breed and age are always a mystery and our best guesses. When Ollie first arrives somewhere new, his sensitive side tends to show. New places, unfamiliar environments, and people he does not know can make him feel a little unsure, so he will need a patient family willing to give him the time and space he needs to settle in. He may not immediately march through the front door and declare himself king of the couch, but give him time to learn that he is safe and loved and you will begin to see what an absolute sweetheart he truly is. Once Ollie opens up, prepare yourself because the cuddles are coming. He is incredibly sweet, gentle, loving, and affectionate, and he would happily curl up beside you or press himself against you like one big personal weighted blanket. Underneath that initially shy exterior is a total love bug who forms strong bonds with his people and wants nothing more than to feel safe, included, and close to the ones he loves. Other dogs are one of Ollie’s absolute favorite things in the world. He is very dog friendly, currently lives in a foster home with another dog, and genuinely comes alive when he has a canine friend nearby. He loves playing chase, wrestling, and simply being with other dogs. Whether they are running around the yard together, sharing toys, or settling down after playtime, Ollie is the kind of dog who could easily become your resident dog’s new best friend. Because another dog helps him feel more comfortable and gives him the confidence to open up, we would love to see Ollie join a home with a friendly resident dog. Having that built-in buddy will help show him the ropes, reassure him that everything is okay, and make the transition into his new life a little easier. Once he feels comfortable, toys and treats will be wonderful ways to build his confidence, strengthen your bond, and bring out more of his playful personality. Ollie is crate trained and is overall comfortable settling in his crate. He may whine every so often, but he settles nicely and understands that his crate is a safe place to relax. He has also shown great house manners in his foster home. He had a few accidents when he first arrived, but new home, new environment, and a whole new routine can be a lot for a shy guy to process. With consistency, patience, and regular potty breaks while he adjusts, he has done very well. The best home for Ollie will be patient, loving, and relatively calm. He would thrive with people who enjoy the simple moments in life and are not concerned with having the neighborhood party house. He is looking for a family that will let him adjust at his own pace, provide him with a predictable routine, and celebrate each little step as his confidence grows. A friendly resident dog is especially important for Ollie because having a canine companion helps him feel secure and allows his true personality to shine. Sammie Squeaks has the kind of joyful little spirit that makes you wonder how you ever lived without her. She loves people with her whole heart, greets every day like it is the best one yet, and will happily trade a game of chase for a spot curled up in your lap. Add in her gorgeous face and enormous brown teddy bear eyes, and this tiny pittie girl is nearly impossible not to fall in love with. Do not let her pictures fool you because she is much smaller in person than she appears! She is believed to be a Pittie mix, but as always with animal rescue, breed and age are our best guesses, and we can never guarantee either. Sammie is dog friendly and has participated in multiple playgroups with dogs of many different sizes and personalities. She tends to do best with dogs her size or larger because when Sammie plays, she plays hard! Her enthusiastic playstyle may be a little too rough for smaller dogs, but with appropriately matched friends, she has an absolute blast playing chase and running alongside them. When Sammie is not busy playing with her dog friends, she can usually be found getting spoiled with love from the nearest person. She is incredibly affectionate, very cuddly, and loves nothing more than climbing into someone’s lap. Personal space is not really part of Sammie’s vocabulary, and she will happily make herself comfortable as close to you as possible. Sammie also met our house cat Biggie and handled the introduction wonderfully. She was appropriate and respectful, did not chase him, and was not bothered by Biggie jumping around or doing the unpredictable things cats do. Biggie also appeared comfortable around her. We do not know whether Sammie has ever lived in a home with a cat, and this was our first time observing her around one. If you have a cat in your home, we can arrange for Sammie to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know! This sweet girl loves toys, which is exactly how Sammie Squeaks earned her name. Give her something fun to play with and a little space to stretch her legs, and she is one happy pup. Sammie would do best in a semi-active home with a backyard where she can play with her toys, enjoy the weather, sunbathe, and burn off some of her playful energy. Sammie is crate trained and has shown us that she has great house manners and understands where the appropriate potty places are. Like any dog entering a new environment, she may need a quick reminder while adjusting to the routine in her forever home. Sammie truly gives you the best of both worlds. She is playful and fun-loving when it is time for an adventure, but once she has gone for a walk or enjoyed a good play session, she is ready to cuddle up and take a nap. Blue Bonnet Beau has one of those faces you remember. A little crooked, a little goofy, and somehow perfectly suited to the incredibly sweet dog behind it. Blue was found as a stray, and we believe his charmingly lopsided look may be the result of an old injury to his jaw that healed long before he came to us. It does not interfere with his eating or his quality of life, but it does give him an expression entirely his own. Whatever happened before rescue, Blue made it through, and these days he is far more interested in couches, affection and the business of being adored. He is fostered in a loving home with a whole crew of dogs, ranging from around 25 pounds up to dogs closer to his own size, and Blue fits right in. He is an easygoing member of the pack who does not need to be in the middle of everything. His favorite connection has been with a younger, happy female dog whose lighthearted personality suits him beautifully. He could certainly enjoy having the right canine companion in his future home, but another dog is not a requirement for Blue. People are really where his heart is. Blue LOVES his people. He is affectionate, devoted and happiest when he can simply be close. He is not looking for an action-packed calendar or a household that needs him to entertain himself from sunrise to sunset. Give this boy a comfortable couch, some leisurely time with his people and plenty of love, and he is quite content with the arrangement. His foster describes him as low energy and wonderfully easygoing, making him the kind of companion who slips naturally into the rhythm of home life. Blue has the practical stuff down beautifully, too. He is fully house trained, amazing in his crate and a wonderful car rider. At five years old, he has moved beyond a lot of the puppy chaos and seems very happy to embrace the softer side of life. There is something particularly special about getting to imagine Blue's next chapter. We do not know everything that happened before he found his way to rescue, and Blue certainly is not dwelling on it. What we do know is that he is resilient, deeply loving and very ready for a life where being someone's beloved dog is simply his normal. Blue Bonnet Beau does not need anyone to feel sorry for him. If you’ve always dreamed of sharing your home with a lovable little house hippo, Bruno is your guy! This handsome boy is all about people and would love nothing more than to be part of a family that will shower him with affection. Bruno is a people-loving sweetheart who enjoys spending time with his humans. He has a medium energy level, so he’s happy to enjoy some activity and then settle in for some quality relaxation. He also does well going out with other dogs and enjoys their company. One important thing to know about Bruno is that he gets hot quickly when he’s outside. Because of this, a cooler climate and a home where he can enjoy plenty of air conditioning and comfortable indoor time would be ideal for him. He’ll happily trade a hot day outside for a cool, comfy spot inside with his favorite people! Major Virgil Goofball is a big dog with a bigger love for one very tiny Lamby, and that tells you almost everything you need to know about him. Vigil is around just over a year old- a big puppy in the final stretch of growing up- playful, lovable, slightly unaware of his own dimensions and always ready for another round of fetch! His gray-and-white good looks may give him a rather dignified appearance, but his little stuffed lamb dangling from his mouth gives away the goofy truth. He carries it around proudly, releases it gently and will wait for someone to throw it a tennis ball isn't available. He will even sit nicely while you prepare for the next throw, although if you take too long, he may attempt to retrieve it directly from your hand. He isn’t being pushy, he simply has a game to keep on schedule. He is also a very polite passenger once he makes it into the car. Getting aboard may require a little boost, encouragement or sweet-talking, but after that, Virgil settles into his seat and happily watches the world go by. If the front seat is available, he calls shotgun and will proudly serve as your passenger prince. Virgil gets along well with other dogs and enjoys an enthusiastic, rough-and-tumble style of play. He does not need another dog to be happy, especially with plenty of toys and people willing to play with him. If his future home does include a canine companion, a playful dog who appreciates some friendly wrestling would be his best match. For all his size, Virgil remains convinced that he is built more like a lap dog. He is still learning where his body ends and everyone else begins, so a home without small children will be the best fit for now. He will thrive with people who enjoy his big, playful personality and can continue giving this nearly grown puppy the guidance and structure he needs. At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress! We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
