Story
COURTESY POST:   Meet Bowie (Bo for short), a charming and sweet-natured Pittie/Boxer mix who is ready to make your heart melt!  At a year-and-a-half and 52 lbs, Bo is the perfect balance of laid-back and playful.  Whether you're out for a walk or just relaxing at home, Bowie's tail is always wagging to show just how much he loves being around you.  Bo is friendly with other dogs, making him a great companion for a multi-dog household. He also does well with cats, but he will benefit from some boundaries and continued training, so a cat with some dog experience would be ideal for him. While Bowie loves his daily walks, it’s important to note that he's a strong guy! A gentle leader harness is a great way to ensure his walks are comfortable for both of you. He’s also smart and is highly motivated by treats, which makes training a breeze. Bo is still a young dog and loves to explore, so he’ll need supervision when left alone, as he’s still working on his chewing habits and his curiosity can get the better of him. When he’s not exploring or out for a walk, Bo is all about comfort and cuddling. He enjoys snuggling up and being cozy after a good play session. He’s housebroken, neutered, and crate-trained, so he’s ready to make himself at home in a new family. Bowie is looking for a loving family that can continue his training and help him grow into the best version of himself. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, and loyal companion, Bo could be the perfect fit for you!    April 14, 2025, 11:08 am

Story
Meet Daddy! This adorable gentle bear has quickly stolen our hearts. Daddy is an easy-going, sweet-natured boy who gets along well with other rescue pets and doesn’t stir up any trouble. He’s crate and leash trained, and he’s incredibly gentle when taking treats from your hand. This big boy recently completed heartworm treatment and is on the road to full health.  He enjoys relaxing outside on nice days and keeps himself entertained. He’s also an excellent car rider and would love a family that enjoys daily walks to help him stay in shape. The ideal home for Daddy would have a privacy fence and help him continue building confidence. Due to his size, he’d do best in a home with older kids. We haven’t tested him with cats yet. If you’re looking for a loyal, low-maintenance companion who just needs a little encouragement to blossom, Daddy might be your perfect match! Our adoption fee includes transport, all age required shots, microchip, & a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. We look forward to receiving your application! We will review it shortly and give you a call to set up a phone interview.  We are thrilled to offer transport services every 3 weeks from Houston to the Pacific Northwest, the Midwest, and the East Coast, ensuring that these incredible pets can find their way to you no matter where you are. This makes the adoption process smooth and convenient, allowing you to focus on welcoming your new family member with open arms. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future away from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive. Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping.   ##2219801##

Story
Meet Rex, the irresistibly adorable five-month-old puppy who's bound to capture your heart! With a playful spirit and a curious nature, Rex is the perfect companion for anyone who loves a little adventure. He absolutely adores humans and gets along well with other dogs. However, his fascination with cats can be a bit overwhelming for our feline friends. Rex is almost fully housebroken and excels at walking on a leash. Plus, he's crate trained, making him an easy addition to any household. His laid-back demeanor ensures he will fit right in, no matter where he goes. We offer transportation to the Pacific Northwest, East Coast, and Midwest, so adopting Rex is a breeze. Why choose a pet from Texas? Because every day, perfectly healthy dogs and cats in our shelters miss the chance to find a loving home. Don't let Rex be one of them—he's ready to meet someone like you! Story
The Best 8-Year-Old “Puppy” Around! Looking for a dog who’s got just the right mix of wisdom and zoomies? Meet Gunner! At 8 years old, he’s got life figured out—except for why squirrels won’t be his friends. Why He’s Awesome: Knows important commands like “sit” and “go lie down” (though he sometimes pretends not to hear after “no more treats”). Crate trained—his “man cave” is his happy place. Leash trained, but if another dog walks by… let’s just say he gets very enthusiastic about making new friends. Neutered and fully vaccinated—basically, a low-maintenance best friend. He’s sweet, playful, and great with people of all ages. If you’re looking for a dog that’s past the puppy chaos but still ready for adventures (or couch naps), Gunner is your guy!  We have fosters all over the Pacific Northwest & East Coast allowing us to post in specific cities. Due to Covid 19 restrictions all Meet & Greets have been cancelled to keep everyone safe. Our adoptable pets are in Houston living with local foster families making the transition into your household a whole lot easier. Our application review takes about 10 days.  This adoption process will require 3 videos of (outside of your home, backyard, and inside of your home) since we are not able to conduct home checks at this time. We will be calling 2 references (Not related to you please). We will be contacting your veterinarian (We work with 1st time owners) to make sure you have vaccinated all your pets yearly, and that all have been spayed/neutered. Our transport company leaves Houston every 2 weeks for the Pacific Northwest & East Coast. We will book your baby as soon as adoption & transport fees have been received.  If you have fallen madly in love and would like to make this baby part of your family, then go to https://www.petstablished.com/organization/920716    ##2351783##

Meet Mae! This adorable floof pup is overflowing with sweetness and just a dash of spice. Mae loves playtime, mealtime, and snooze time. As a rescue, her spay will be covered at 6 months, and she'll soon receive her second vaccination. We'll take care of her next shots and rabies vaccine. Mae is mastering outdoor potty breaks and learning to stick to her own toys. She's quite the character, even if the resident kitty tends to put her in her place with a gentle swat.
