Pepe Peppercorn, Young Male, 47 pounds, Richmond VA**COURTESY LISTING** Pepe Peppercorn is being fostered in the Richmond, VA area. If you are interested in Pepe Peppercorn, please go to www.momsva.org and complete an application. Meet Pepe! This handsome little guy came into the shelter as a younger puppy, emaciated and scared and obviously no one had ever put any time or effort into him. While he was safe at the shelter he did not do well in that environment. He was pulled into foster care where he is doing so much better, and now he is working on how to be the best dog he can be! He is crate trained and is doing excellent with potty training and leash work. He is so eager to please his people, and has excellent focus, especially when treats are involved! He is a very playful puppy, but he does have a relaxed mode and makes an excellent napping partner! Although he is a snorer! He loves all things rubber, (with the occasional stuffy thrown in) and balls are his jam. He is playful with other dogs after proper introduction, cats are unknown. This boy needs a family committed to helping him learn and navigate the world with positive training and exercise and in return he will provide daily humor, snuggles, and endless amounts of love! If you think you might be a match for this sweet boy, go to www.momsva.org and complete an application to see if he could be part of your family! **COURTESY LISTING**

Story
Introducing our resident silly goose, Dwayne! This blocky-headed wigglebutt enjoys socializing with his hooman friends and being the apple of their eyes! The next best thing in his eyes is to find a stick to carry around with him while going for a stroll around the block. While he loves playing with actual toys, there's just something about sticks that really gets him excited. Dwayne is looking to have a good time all of the time... or at least as much as possible! This fun-loving fella could use some structure and training in his life to help ground him, though, so a home without little kids would be best for him. Dwayne could also use some more socialization with other dogs, since he can be a bit rude and pushy at times. He may do best as the only dog in the home to start, but could potentially go to a home with another dog that is comfortable managing and working with his behavior. No kitty-cats for him, though. Email christy.hemsworth@rva.gov to meet this spunky sweetheart today! Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 53 Age: 1yrs 3mths 0wks

Meet Muffin Top! This lady is such a delight to be around! She is very polite, loving, knows a few commands already (specifically "sit" and "paw"), and has a well-balanced temperament. The only area of improvement for her would be how excitable she gets with toys. Although she is also a fan of stuffies, Muffin loves tennis balls the most and can be a bit chompy with them at times, so a home without little kiddos would be best for her. Some basic manners training should do the trick, though! Muffin is looking to be the only pet in her future furever home. Email christy.hemsworth@rva.gov to meet this adorabull angel today! Story
Nancy is a 4 year old English Staffordshire terrier who is an absolute love bug! She will eagerly snuggle you every chance she gets. She loves burying herself under the covers, being spooned when its chilly and looks for any excuse to lean against you. She is full of energy and gives drive by kisses any time she passes through a room. She is house trained and knows basic commands (sit, lay down, stay, no, go away, etc.) Nancy is animal aggressive but can get along with other dogs in a house with time and a careful eye. I have successfully integrated her into a house with another dog before and seen her become best friends with him. She is a bubbly, loving, happy dog and she will need an owner who can help her burn energy!

Story
Coco is 5 years old. Birthday in December. She was a rescue. Very sweet and playful dog. She will need some training. She's a counter surfer. You can't leave anything out where she can get it. She'll even try to take food out your hand if it's at a level she can reach. Other than that, she is great! Amazing with children of all ages. Loves to cuddle. I'm looking for a family who will love and care for her. Someone who can give her the attention she needs. She has skin allergies. It's worse in the spring. But this is very common with her breed. She's about 26 pounds. She normally stays pretty small. Her vet says she's a petite dog. I don't know if she is up to date on shots. We have had a lot happen the last few years so I'm unsure if she was supposed to have more. She had all her puppy shots and rabies vaccine. She may be due for new shots though. Really, she is a sweet dog.

Story
Deuce became a special addition to our family in 2018. He was given to us as a gift and has been a blessing ever since. Over the past years Deuce has made many friends and memories with our family. Deuce is very intelligent and isn’t hard to please. His favorite snack is chicken and he loves any type of meat he can get his hands on. Deuce is a very calm dog majority of the time unless he is outside chasing nature! He can be a great guard dog over the house and he is overprotective of his owner. Deuce loves to cuddle and give people “paw”. Deuce will be more than just a house dog to your family, however, he will create memories, share his love, and become the extra light that every dog owner needs!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Jen (bragincinfo@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.We rescued Milo from the Henrico pound where he was so scared after his owner surrendered him that he was flat as a pancake pushed as far in the corner of his kennel as he could get & growling at people. It took some treats and a lot of baby talk by one of the ACO's before he started wiggling around. So we were not quite sure what to expect when we picked him up......much to our surprise he is a TOTALLY normal puppy! YAY!! He has never growled once at us & is actually an AWESOME little puppy! He has a great temperament & absolutely LOVES people. He loves treats & once he gets his yaya's out he will focus on you so training should be a breeze as he is already working on the basics! He gets along with other dogs but may be a little too much for cats and he does great with kids. Milo goes to softball games & loves meeting all the people! Milo is up to date on vaccines, dewormed, neutred and microchiped. He is totally ready for a new family. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. My name is Penny and when I was rescued my neck was sliced open from an embedded collar. Then they found out I was pregnant. I had my puppies in rescue a year ago, they all found their homes, and now it’s my turn & I am looking for my forever home! If endless nights of cuddling, snacks, and playing with toys is your thing - we might be a perfect match!   I absolutely LOVE my people and really love kids, but I am very strong and don’t always know my own strength, so older kids would be best for me so that they can play tug with me and snuggle on the couch after we play! I will follow you around, and may even follow you to the shower, I love you that much. I really love car rides, too and will happily tag along  if you have to run errands, just grab me a pup cup please! I also love to go to the park and breweries!  I used to be scared of other dogs & would react negatively but have just finished four weeks of intense boot camp and now know other doggies can be alright! I still either need to live alone or be matched with the right doggie personality - someone laid back and easy going. I know a ton of commands and am housebroken, and walk like a pro on leash. I would love to have a family to continue to help me learn and grow; My trainers say I am sporty and would make a great agility or flyball dog! I am really treat-motivated and will happily sit in the kitchen with you while you make treats or cook dinner. Ready to meet me? Email us at bragincinfo@gmail.com. Apply to adopt at www.braginc.org under forms. Story
We call Desperado, King Desperado for a good reason. He fiercely protects and defends his foster dad and his domain there in the foster home.  You see Desperado lost his owner to bad times and bad things that his owner decided to do.  5 months ago his owner ended up behind bars and so did King Desperado and his brother end up behind the bars in a small town rural shelter. His brother fell ill in the shelter and passed away.  Miraculously Desperado was spared and there he stayed and languished with no one visiting the shelter to adopt many of the dogs there.  Just at Christmas the shelter was cleaning house.  Taking all the dogs that had been there for a while and putting them on the euthanize list.  Desperado was on the list but Critter Cavalry Rescue had fosters who stepped up to take him out of the shelter and literally save his life.  Desperado is a work in progress but here are some fun facts about him that foster Joshua says you really need to know about this great 2 year old boy dog that weighs 65 pounds. 1: He will kennel with no complaints when you need to leave the house or go to bed, tho he much prefers to occupy the same space as you in bed as opposed to being kenneled. 2: He does not know what personal space is, his favorite thing in the world is giving kisses and snuggling his people. 3: He has med/high energy, but is also very much a couch potato. 4: He plays like a boxer and walks like a hound. We are working on leash etiquette. 5: He is dog reactive on leash, but we have not tested him with other dogs free in the yard. 6: We are working with a trainer to try and curb this reactivity, as well as some basic obedience. 7: A 4 ft fence will keep him contained, and is highly recommended. He will bolt if he gets on an interesting scent. 8: He has liked every human he has met both big and small, tho he may be a bit excitable near little kids, I'd say 8+ is good to go. 9: 100% house broken, and easily learned the bathroom routine in my house. 10: He is EXTREMELY food motivated. 11: He is a bit jumpy but is gentle about it.  It probably comes from spending 5 months in a shelter and not having his confidence built up in his life.  All this can and will change. His foster dad knows that Desperado is going to be an amazing dog with just a little more work and stability in his life.  He only got out of the shelter just before Christmas and boy was that a gift to him!  His foster dad has him in training for the leash reactions which many dogs have.  He adores people…he loves life and you will love Desperado and his devotion to YOU and your family!  We request that you have a fenced yard if you adopt.  Please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com  mention where you live please…city and state. We transport all over!!! PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.June 5, 2023, 10:13 pm

Story
My name is Momma Abby but you can call me QUEEN ABBY.   I am a recent momma dog that gave birth to six beautiful puppies on Thanksgiving of 2022, November 24th to be exact.  I came from a sad overcrowding situation at a home that would be considered hoarding.  I gave birth in a clean home and my babies are being adopted to great new families right now.  I was a great momma to my babies and I live with a single woman who just adores me and I adore her.   I am housebroken and I have learned how to live very well with her other 4 dogs, big and small.  I am crated when she is gone and I look forward to her returning to give me attention after her work day.  I am truly on my way to getting my figure back.  I am mostly a Boxer breed and I came from the Memphis Tennessee area and am in a foster home in Nashville, Tn right now.  I am very sweet and enjoy people but I will protect and guard my foster mom’s home if I think someone is a danger to my foster mom.  I love the new life that is ahead for me.  I am currently guessed to be 2 years old and weigh 48 pounds. I am being spayed on March 14th and then I will be absolutely your girl forever and every again.  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested in giving me the home that I have always dreamed about. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 5, 2023, 10:13 pm

Story
Deja is a really great girl that found herself in a very bad situation. When she was turned in to the local kill shelter, we knew we had to step up and save this sweet girl. When the girls like Deja get admitted to an already crowded small town kill shelter, it takes a miracle from God to save their life.  Well Deja got that miracle and as a young Bulldog/Boxer/Lab mix around 2 years old, this girl is going to really bring some sunshine to their life.  This dog is a true athlete and is a very fit and strong girl of 54 lbs. All Deja wants in life is to please you and spread her happy attitude and personality with everyone she meets.  She would be the perfectcompanion for an active person that enjoys hiking, running or just being outside. She loves her toys, almost too much, so you can only give her those indestructible Tuff and durable toys.  At her foster place she loves to spend her days playing outside or just lounging in the sunshine with her current best friend. Deja is fully vetted and ready to find her new home. Her best friend is Polar. (FYI - her current best friend is also available for adoption! We could certainly make a DEAL for a double adoption).  Contact us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 5, 2023, 10:13 pm
