Story
We acquired Max when he was abandoned at a property by squatters. He is very friendly to people and good with other dogs. He loves to play with his ball. He’s house and crate trained. Max likes to play but is also a big fan of hanging out on the couch. We are estimating he’s about 5 years old and he is neutered. He is not good with cats or other small animals. He’d love to have a person/family. We have had him around our elementary school age children and he has been great! Not much of a barker unless there’s a good reason.

Story
Libby is approximately 4 years old and she is not suited to farm life due to all the activity and lack of one-on-one time she needs and deserves. She has been living with us for the past 4 months and it has become clear she will do much better in a home where her humans aren't as busy due to farm-life responsibilities and conditions. Libby has a lot of love to share, she gives the best hugs and kisses but needs to be in a single-dog family as this was the reason she came to live with us - her previous home had two other dogs and Libby had difficultly sharing space with the other canines. Libby needs a home that is quiet and calm as she is prone to anxiety - anything new scares her as does loud noises. She does not react aggressively in these situations, she tends to bark loudly and will shy away from what she perceives as a threat. She needs human(s) who are patient, loving and supportive in helping her manage her anxieties. In return, she offers an abundance of love.

Story
Jack Sparrow is a strong, confident, and energetic dog who thrives with patient, experienced handlers. While he shows high stress and reactivity in the kennel, he is fully tolerant of handling once outside the kennel and enjoys attention from his volunteer friends. On leash, he walks well, wags his tail, and is able to focus when given space from other dogs. Jack is highly responsive to structure and benefits from thoughtful distance management around other dogs. He would do best as the only dog in the household with an adopter who understands dog reactivity, has experience with strong, energetic dogs, and can provide consistent guidance, training, and enrichment. With the right home, Jack has the potential to become a loyal and engaging companion. Please consider being the one to give Jack the fresh start he deserves. Jack is 1.5 years old and 80 pounds. ##2642001##

Story
Apollo is a 3 year old loving, lovable creature weighing in at 55 lbs. He is very short and all muscle, with a head the size of his giant heart. This dog LIVES to cuddle with you - all day long! He will be in your lap as often as possible, as he is the cuddliest boy ever and genuinely radiates love. Currently, Apollo is living with two large, adult male dogs - generally the dogs are peaceful and don't engage, but every so often Apollo can get pushy. Food is the most important thing in his life and he will bulldoze his way through to be first in line. On walks, even though he is much shorter, he keeps up pace with the big boys, no problem! The first few minutes of the walk, he will show you just how incredibly strong he is, but then he calms down and is really good on a leash. He was a stray, so we are working on a bit of housebreaking when left home alone. He does like having a create, but prefers for the door to be left open. He's working through a bit of separation anxiety, although he hasn't been destructive! Apollo absolutely loves people and attention (and did we mention food???), so he is working on some house manners. Overall, he is so cool and laid back, just wanting to be loved and to share love in return. Care rides are no problem for him, he was fine getting a bath, and there isn't a lot of barking or wild playing. He also responds well to "no". Although we haven't tested him with cats or kids, we are confident that Apollo could fit into almost any home setting. We can't say enough about how sweet and loving, funny and interesting this dude is...he's truly one of a kind. Story
Meet Darcy, a sweet and gentle 4-year-old mixed breed dog. We've had the joy of raising her since she was a puppy, and she has brought so much love into our lives. Darcy is a very sweet girl, but she can be shy and nervous in new situations and around new people. Once she feels secure, her affectionate and loving personality truly shines. She has been a wonderful companion to our young daughter and got along beautifully with our other dog before he passed, proving she can be a great fit for a home with children and potentially another canine friend. With a heavy heart, we are looking for a new home for Darcy as we are moving and won't be able to take her with us. We know she will bring so much joy to the right family. While an experienced adopter isn't a must, we believe she would thrive with someone who has experience with dogs and can give her the patience, love, and attention she deserves to help her feel secure and blossom.

Meet Suzy — the Sweetest Little Bundle of Joy! Suzy is a playful, loving puppy who brings pure happiness everywhere she goes. She gets along great with other dogs and loves being right in the mix—sometimes a little too excited with her kisses, but she’s learning boundaries just like any young pup. She listens well to other dogs’ cues and adjusts quickly. She’s also been around ducks and even a horse with no aggression at all—just curious sniffs and gentle interest. Suzy’s favorite things in the world? Soft blankets and squeaky toys! She’s the definition of cozy and cute. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate puppy who loves everyone she meets, Suzy is ready to wiggle her way into your heart and home.
