Story
Born June 23, 2021 Angus is a male American Stafforshire Terrier mix seeking a forever home. His foster mom says that Angus is one of her favorite fosters ever! He is making great strides on his leash training, has almost mastered potty training and is crate trained. He does well with other dogs. Angus is a spunky, energetic and super sweet pup who will nap on the couch with his foster mom while she works from home. His ideal time would be with a dog of similar size and energy level and breed experiences is a plus! Angus’ forever home must have a secure 6 foot fence with adults or adults and children over 5. Story
Sweet Salem hopes to celebrate her 3rd birthday in November in her forever home with people that love her! Salem is well socialized with people, likes kids, and gets along well with dogs of all sizes. While there are no cats in her foster home, she is curious about cats that visit her back yard and will chase them – her interest appears playful, not aggressive, we do have a video of her meeting an indoor cat and it went well. You can see the video by copying and pasting this link into your browser. https://www.facebook.com/MikeysChanceCanineRescue/videos/6634345253260856 She’s on the smaller side – weighing in under 50 pounds and she maintains her weight by eating a diet that works for her and her sensitive tummy – She eats Natural Balance Limited Ingredient Duck and Potato. She knows sit and shake and “help you” (which means stop what you’re doing and let foster mom see what’s going on) and understands leave it. She still has a lot of puppy energy and likes to get her zoomies out. She plays fetch like a pro and likes to tease you with her toys before she gives it back. She also enjoys walks anywhere, but along the river where she can see the ducks and squirrels are a favorite – she would make a good hiking buddy and probably running buddy as she does quite well on a leash. She’s also a great passenger in the car and enjoys rides. She is sweet, affectionate, and cuddly and wants nothing more than an active forever home – one with another dog of similar size and matching energy would be preferred. A secure 6 ft fenced yard is required and if there are children in the home over the age of five would be best. Story
Tie is a 3.5 year old bully mix who thinks his purpose in life is to keep those who love him on their toes. He has made not so great decisions about what is and is not edible in the past but he promises he has learned his lesson now that he is all grown up. Tie is a consummate friendly goofy class clown with a big personality. An anecdote that sums up his mannerisms was shared with me- "He jumped on top of the crates when I dropped his leash. Insert wiggle butt, shenanigans and smiles. Once he had had enough he was easily swayed off the crates, and went outside to potty. He is highly athletic and would thrive in an active home looking to include a dog in their fun. Mister Mischief is crate and leash trained. He loves people and is case by case dog friendly. He isn't suited for cats. Tie has diagnosed allergies and will require a limited ingredient diet to keep him feeling his best. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and dewormed. Currently in Tricities Washington. His adoption fee is $400.

Story
Born June 15, 2017, Lynch is a male English Bulldog. He's the perfect age; fully potty trained and still full of energy!! Lynch loves to take a ride in the car, especially if coffee shop and bank treats are involved. He prefers to go with his human(s) everywhere. He is a gentleman and will wait at home for you, in a crate or on the couch. He also loves to snuggle on the couch with you while you Netflix binge or read the newest best seller. Lynch does enjoy people and dogs. Some people, and some dogs, can be a bit too much for him. He needs his person to be aware of this. He will completely ignore cats because they can't scratch his belly or play with him. He is a typical stubborn Bulldog. He needs a human who has experience with this and is firm with boundaries. Lynch is currently being treated for allergies, and needs his human to be aware he may need monthly medication. Lynch's forever home must be one with breed experience, adults only or adults and children over 13, and a secure 6 foot fence. Applications: www.mikeyschance.com

Story
Meet Baby Girl! This gorgeous gal is a Bull Terrier who was born approximately November 2021. Here is a little bit about her: she wound up at the local shelter due to no fault of her own until Mikey’s pulled her into the program so they could find her her best fit home. She is very people oriented and loves to go on walks (check out her smile)! Baby Girl would thrive in an active home with a securely fenced yard. She would do best in a cat free home without other small animals but another canine friend of similar size and energy level (she prefers males) would be great as well as an only dog home. We are seeking a home for her with adults or adults and children over 5. Applications for foster and adoption can be found at www.mikeyschance.com

Story
Adagio and his three siblings were found abandoned, left in a box out in the cold. After being examined by the vet their age was identified as 7-8 weeks old -born October, 2023. We do not know his breed(s) but based on the attached weight projection chart we believe he will be a medium sized dog (35-40ish pounds) when fully grown. (See photo on the scales-these were taken upon entry to the rescue). Adagio was the smallest in the litter but has almost caught up to his big sister cadence. Adagio, also known as dodgy or Gio, is a scamp that loves, Loves, LOVES food and eats his meals far too fast. We think this may be related to him being the smallest and possibly not getting adequate food when they were abandoned. In his foster home they scatter his food across the floor or put it in a snuffle mat or a kong to slow him down. Needless to say he is very treat motivated but most of his motivation is for the treat, not to perform. He does know sit, down and place and is working on other skills-he has excellent recall, he is crate trained and will go to his crate when instructed to do so and potty trained! Adagio is confident, outgoing, silly and energetic. He is currently living with other dogs and cats. Adagio would do great in a home with a fenced yard and a person or family that is committed to his continued growth and development and will cherish him for his lifetime. A canine companion would be great too. To apply: www.mikeyschance.com/adopt-a-dog
