Story
He is 3 yrs old, very energetic, needs a farm type home where he can do what he is meant to be, protect animals as well as owner. My health issues are not letting me provide what he needs. He is outside all day but inside at night. Loves to be able to explore property, With More training he'd be perfect. I do not want to let him go at all but only to be fair to him to have a life he can enjoy not cooped up.I am hoping to have someone that has the experience with an energetic, stubborn dog and willing to put the time to train him His breed is meant to protect his farm animals and family..He does like being indoors at night.please,do not put app in if you live condo/apartment,he would not be a good fit for you ,he is a barker when he hears anything outside.and not good being inside alone. Thank you

Story
Say hello to Kimber, a tenderhearted 8-year-old Malinois who’s ready to find a family that will cherish her gentle spirit and special needs.Kimber is blind due to an untreatable condition, but don’t let that fool you—she navigates her world beautifully and adapts quickly with patience and routine. Her favorite place is snuggled up on the bed or couch, soaking in all the warmth and love she can get. She takes daily eye drops and antihistamines for life, and she’s also on joint supplements to keep her feeling her best. She previously had a low-grade mast cell tumor removed, and her current medications help reduce the likelihood of recurrence.Kimber is sweet, affectionate, and thrives in a quiet, predictable environment. She’ll do best in a calm, adult-only home where she can enjoy soft beds, gentle strolls, and plenty of cuddles.Kimber recently spent time in a foster home where she was deeply loved, and she is now back at the shelter and ready to be seen. If you’re interested in giving this resilient, loving girl her well-deserved forever home, please fill out an adoption application on our website and contact our Front Office staff for more information.Requirements: Martingale Collar; Joint Supplements; Eye Drops + Antihistamines; Quiet Lifestyle; Children 12yrs+All of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Story
I’m a big boy with an even bigger heart. I’ve got so much love to give, and I’m ready to be your most loyal companion. Let me tell you a little about myself—I’m a mix of laid-back cuddler and noble guardian, and I think you’re going to love me just the way I am. When I spent a couple of overnights in a home, I did so well that they couldn’t wait to have me back! I’m a gentleman in the house—fully housebroken with no accidents, and I don’t get into anything I shouldn’t. I didn’t even try to climb on the furniture because I’m perfectly happy with a plump dog bed and a fluffy comforter. At night, I’ll curl up right at the foot of your bed and stay there all night, snoozing happily. I’m fantastic on a leash and walk calmly by your side—no pulling, no fuss. I love treats and chewies, and I’ll sit politely and give you my paw in exchange for a snack. I’ve got a very soft mouth, too, so no worries there! While I enjoy my walks and adventures, I’m just as happy curling up next to you while we watch TV. I’m the definition of a love bug when I’m with my people. Now, I do have a more serious side. I’m a loyal and strong protector of my inner circle, which means I’m not too keen on strangers approaching me or my family. If I don’t know a person or situation, I can get uncomfortable, and I’ll let you know it—so I’ll need someone who understands that. Because of this, I’ll do best in a calm, structured home where I won’t be put in stressful situations. I’ll also need a sedative and muzzle for things like vet visits, nail trims, or restraint—tools that will keep me and everyone around me safe and stress-free. Weighing just under 100 pounds, I live up to my name as a noble watchman and guardian. I love my family fiercely, and once you’re in my circle, you’re there forever—especially if belly rubs are involved. In fact, I’d probably let you give me belly rubs 24/7 if you wanted to! I’m happiest when I have space to roam and explore, so a home with a doggie door and a nice yard (or even some land!) would be my dream come true. I love the outdoors—whether it’s land or water, count me in! I’ll be happiest as the only pet in the home, though—more room for me and all your love. Oh, and one little quirk: I might have some piglet in me because I love to dig! It’s great exercise, but I probably won’t be the best fit if you’re looking for a perfectly manicured lawn. Speaking of quirks, I have one big obsession: the water hose. I absolutely love it, but if I’m allowed to play with it, I’ll get way too over-the-top excited. It’s best to just avoid letting me have too much fun with the hose—trust me, it’s better for everyone! I know I’m not for everyone, but for the right person—someone who understands my big heart and my big personality—I’ll be the most loyal, loving companion you could ever ask for. If you think we could be a match, I’d love to meet you.Love, HowieRequirements: Martingale Collar; 6' Fence; Misfit; Handler Appointment OnlyAll of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Story
I’m Chispa — a 9-year-old Belgian Malinois/Shepherd mix with plenty of spark still left in me! 🔥 Don’t let my age fool you — I love to stay active and have energy to spare when it’s time for a walk, play session, or a good game of fetch. I’m also friendly and affectionate once I get to know you, and I’ve still got that playful, happy-go-lucky attitude that keeps life interesting.I came to the shelter after my owner’s health declined, and while I’ve lived peacefully with another dog and a cat before, I haven’t loved meeting cats here — so I might be hit or miss in that department. I’d do best with respectful dog friends and humans who understand my boundaries.Speaking of which — I can be a bit protective of my food and toys, so I’d prefer a home with kids 12 and up who understand that I like my space when I’m eating or playing with something special. I’m also not a fan of being restrained (the vet usually needs to give me a little something to help me relax during exams), so gentle handling and patience are key.The good news? I’m housebroken, loyal, and full of love once you’re in my circle. I’m ready to find a home that appreciates my big heart, spunky personality, and the wisdom that comes with a little life experience. ❤️Requirements: Martingale Collar; Children 12yrs+ (due to Resource Guarding)All of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home.
