Story
Meet beautiful Mavis!! She’s 12 weeks old, currently weighs 15 lbs, and is an Anatolian Shepherd mix. Very cuddly, spunky, and wants to follow you around everywhere you go. She is doing very well with potty training and crate training. She knows ‘let’s go potty’ and will bound after you to get outside first. She’s a follower so make sure you’re ready to have a feisty little ball of fur as your shadow! Mavis loves the resident dogs and wishes she was as big as them so the playing field was equal. She is great with kids, enjoys toys and treats, and adores belly rubs. If you’ve been looking to adopt a puppy and have the time it takes for continued puppy training, please apply! Adoption donation fee is $400 which includes spay, puppy exam, microchip, deworming, and up to date vaccinations. Mavis came all the way from Oklahoma and will make a wonderful forever companion for one lucky family! To apply, please fill out an application on our website at: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you.  Thank you for choosing adoption!! May 2, 2024, 3:39 am

Story
Hi, My name is Kobe! I’m 12 weeks old, 16 lbs, and an Anatolian Shepherd mix. I’m an adorable, bright little pupper! I have already figured out the doggy door at my foster home, though it was daunting at first. I am still working on my potty training, however, my foster mama gives me treats when I do tinkle and take care of business outside. I’ll catch on fast. I am crate trained. I love to snuggle, get attention, and follow my hoomans around the house and yard. I am very playful, love other dogs, and do great with kids. I’m still a puppy so I will take patience, training, and understanding as I grow. I’m a good pupper though. If I could get a furever home with friendly dogs, lots of treats, lots of toys, and a loving hooman crew, I would be the happiest of boys! I’m originally from Oklahoma, but I kinda like it up here! My adoption donation fee is $400 which includes my neuter, microchip, deworming, puppy exam, and up to date vaccinations.  To apply for me, please go to the drop down menu on our website at: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application We do not have a facility. Story
Hi, Rose here! Contrary to popular belief I’m actually from the South, but some may think I’m from St. Olaf Minnesota. My new furry roomies are nothing like Blanche and Dorothy, one acts more like Sophia with me. She gets pretty feisty when I invade her bubble, but I guess she’s teaching me a thing or two about life. I love late night pup treats and when my foster dad works strange hours, my furry foster siblings and I always hash out our life problems. I’m learning to potty outside and getting used to my crate, but I hear that’s normal for a girl my age. I’m 12 weeks old, 15 lbs, and a beautiful Anatolian Shepherd mix. I’m looking for a loving forever home where I’m able to be around my fur friends and humans often like a velcro dog. Hopefully I’m not out getting around for too long like Blanche, someone’s gotta tie me down! My adoption donation fee is $400 which covers my spay, microchip, puppy exam, up to date vaccines, etc. They say I’ll make a great addition to one lucky family! If I could get a forever home with lots of treats, lots of toys, and a loving human family, my life would be complete. I was born in Oklahoma, but I think I like it up here in Omaha. My foster dad thinks I’m the cutest, best good boy. Story
Introducing Mallory a gorgeous Belgian Malinois Mix b. 07/2017. Sadly, Mallory did not have the best start to life and grew fearful of people. Due to this she is slow to warm up and will require multiple visits with any potential adopters. But once you have earned her trust she is a smart loyal girl. Mallory wouldn't mind having another dog or two in her furever home tho she would need to meet them a couple of times to ensure everyone was to party for life together! As much as Mallory wouldn't mind a dog sibling, she will take a hard pass on any human or feline siblings. So who is ready to add this smart girl to their family? Apply today and learn what loyalty means! All dogs adopted through Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue come with a lifetime free behavior; training with our Positive Reinforcement/Relationship Based trainers. To assist in a smooth successful transition, Mallory will be required to have training sessions set up at the time of adoption and maintain the scheduled sessions post-adoption. The suggested adoption donation for Mallory is $250. We are a 501c3 organization which means that your donation may be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Your donation goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our animals in rescue, as well as providing supportive services to animals in homes. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the dog’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the pet. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each dog, based on the dog’s needs. If you and the dog are not a good match, we will help you select another dog, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. Story
Meet Renzo (b. 7/2021), a mastiff mix who is looking for his furever family! This adorable fella has had one heck of a time... he was found in a ditch, survived parvo, needed surgery for entropion (an eye issue), and after all that found himself running out of options. He's very good with people of all ages (including kiddos!), and loves attention. Renzo does not enjoy the company of other dogs... not one bit! Since he prefers human friends, he does not need other canines in his life. This fella hasn't had the kind of attention and family love all young dogs should receive, so if you're looking for a loving, loyal, I'm-all-yours kind of guy, Renzo's taking apps! Adoptions for Renzo are limited to the area within 50 miles of Omaha so that he can continue to take advantage of free training from our certified positive reinforcement trainer. The suggested adoption donation for Renzo is $300. Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization which means that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals.  In 2021 alone, we were able to provide animal Healthcare costing over $306,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal.
