Story
Introducing Mallory a gorgeous Belgian Malinois Mix b. 07/2017. Sadly, Mallory did not have the best start to life and grew fearful of people. Due to this she is slow to warm up and will require multiple visits with any potential adopters. But once you have earned her trust she is a smart loyal girl. Mallory wouldn't mind having another dog or two in her furever home tho she would need to meet them a couple of times to ensure everyone was to party for life together! As much as Mallory wouldn't mind a dog sibling, she will take a hard pass on any human or feline siblings. So who is ready to add this smart girl to their family? Apply today and learn what loyalty means! All dogs adopted through Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue come with a lifetime free behavior; training with our Positive Reinforcement/Relationship Based trainers. To assist in a smooth successful transition, Mallory will be required to have training sessions set up at the time of adoption and maintain the scheduled sessions post-adoption. The suggested adoption donation for Mallory is $250. We are a 501c3 organization which means that your donation may be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Your donation goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our animals in rescue, as well as providing supportive services to animals in homes. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the dog’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the pet. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each dog, based on the dog’s needs. If you and the dog are not a good match, we will help you select another dog, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. Story
Here comes Shiloh (b 3/24/23) a German Shepherd mix, who is ready for his second chance!  Shiloh or Shi Shi (pronounced Shy-Shy) as his foster family and friends call him is a very sweet boy. He enjoys  playing with his two fur foster siblings, snuggling his people, and playing fetch. He is potty trained and crate trained. His favorite thing is to gather all the dogs toys in the house in his kennel so he can play with them all. Due to his size, energy, and his love for singing the songs of his people, he would do best in a non apartment home with a fenced in backyard. Once Shiloh trusts you, he won't want to leave your side. He has not been around many kids but we do feel he would do well with kids 10 years old and up.  The suggested adoption donation for Shiloh is $400, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver.  Alter Agreement:  If the dog or cat you adopt is older than 6 months of age and not spayed or neutered, you will receive a voucher to alter the pet at Val Verde Animal Hospital in Omaha, at no cost to you.  Or you can alter the pet at your own vet and be reimbursed $80 for dogs, and $50 for cats, of total cost.  If the dog or cat is younger than 6 months of age, adopter will be responsible for the cost of altering the pet at the vet of their choice.  If proof of alter is received by Muddy Paws prior to the pet turning 6 months of age, a reimbursement of $80 for dogs, and $50 for cats, will be sent to you to help cover expenses. All puppies and kittens MUST be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age.  All dogs and cats MUST be spayed or neutered no later than one month after adoption is finalized. Story
Say hello to Sid and Lulu, a pair of German Shepherds, born approximately March 2022.  They are looking for a new place to call home!  They are friendly with other dogs and get along with kids of all ages.  Sid and Lulu are both housebroken and leash trained.  They are crate trained, but it's not a favorite thing for either one of them.  They both feel a little lonely when they don't have their people around.  They are active dogs and enjoy running and playing.  Sid and Lulu know some commands i.e. "sit", "shake", "lay down" and "home" when it's time to go inside.    The perfect home would be with people who are familiar with German Shepherds and have a big yard with room to play! The suggested adoption donation for both Sid and Lulu is $650. Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE.
