Story
Mona is looking for someone to be her person. She is a bit overwhelmed right now and longs for peace. Maybe a nice lawn, some trees and birds chirping might do the trick. If you are falling for that smile of hers, maybe clear your calendar and whisk her away for her Zen lifestyle moment.

Story
🐾 **Meet Shiloh-Doo!** 💙 With the face of a German Shepherd, the legs of a Basset Hound, and a heart full of love, Shiloh-Doo is as unique as they come! His adorable shorter stature only adds to his charm, and his sweet, well-mannered personality makes him impossible not to love. Before coming to the shelter, Shiloh spent his life alongside a person experiencing homelessness. Even through life's changes, he has remained incredibly affectionate, gentle, and devoted to his people. One thing Shiloh absolutely **loves** is water! Whether he's splashing in a kiddie pool or playing with the hose, this boy is happiest when he's making a splash. Shiloh is also a bit of a toy hoarder—stuffed animals and tennis balls are his prized possessions, and you'll often catch him proudly carrying one around. When playtime is over, he's more than happy to trade his toys for cuddle time with his favorite humans. Shiloh is looking for an adult-only home where he can be your one and only pet. If you're searching for a loyal best friend with a one-of-a-kind look and an even sweeter personality, Shiloh-Doo can't wait to meet you! 🐶💙

Story
🐾 Meet Arlo! 🐾 This handsome boy is almost 7 years old and has the sweetest, most gentle soul. 💙 Right now, he’s a little shy, but with time and love, he will make a wonderful addition to the right family! Arlo loves being with people and enjoys his time with those he trusts. He can be a little timid around men at first, but with patience, he will warm up. He would do best in a home without cats or livestock (he thinks they’re fun to chase! 😅) and would need the right dog companion if there’s another pup in the home. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion, Arlo might just be the one for you! Stop by Douglas County Animal Services to meet him today. 🐶❤️

Story
Freddy was chained at a property in Cancun. Very short chain with limited access to food and water. He was very thin with skin issues, and basically neglected, yet his sunny disposition still shone. After being rescued, he blossomed into an incredible dog. Somewhat territorial with other males (his "job" having been to protect the property where he'd been living); he does get along with most dogs and all people. He has a sweet, inherent spirit. From our website: FREDDY✨ 😎 Breed: terrier/australian shepherd mix 🐶 Age 3 years 🌍 Location: Cancun, Mexico but we will bring him to Lake Tahoe for adoption in the future 💙 Male 📏 Size: medium ⚖️ Weight: 12 kg (26 lbs) 🩺Vetting: Full vaccine complete, Puppy, Quíntuple Rabies, Bordatella. Dewormed, Spayed/ Neutered, 4DX snap, Nexgarde/Simparica. Healthy. 💃Energy: ACTIVE 🐶Dog Friends: Yes 🐱Cat Friends: We think so. He seems to not react to cats at all beyond normal curiosity. There were cats at the property he was rescued from, along with ducks. 👧🏽 Friends: Yes – he has been friendly with dogs but he can be unpredictable. He can react to other male dogs but seems to do fine with females (in his space).. He is an ACTIVE absolutely loving boy and definitely one’s best friend ⛓Leash etiquette: Yes 🥘 Resource guarding: He was chained to a tree for 3 years so food is his main interest for now He is very obedient when spoken to and well behaved but needs a little of basic training, everything is new for him 📣 Bark/noisy: Will bark only to communicate and sometimes when he is excited and happy 🏡 Housebroken: Yes ⛓ Leash etiquette: Yes ! 🚙 Good in car: Yes, calm in the car! TEMPERAMENT FREDDY is an incredibly sweet and loving dog, very calm. He would make for a great companion to someone who is looking for a companion, he loves to be around people and Freddy is beginning to explore the world. He also would be great with a family, as he already has shown gentle affection. Freddy is currently working with a trainer in Cancun to overcome his territorial issues. We would love him to go to a very special person/family due to his rough beginning. With the right people, he will make a very good companion.
