She is a sweet girl who seems eager to learn the ropes. Buttercup definitely has a bit of sass, so some solid training and an older dog in the home would be a benefit! Buttercup is microchipped, dewormed, and has her age-appropriate vaccines. She will be a bit smaller than her sister, but is still likely to be a large dog. Her adoption will include a contract requiring her spay at an appropriate age.

When it's time to quiet down, this girl loves a comfy bed! Blondie is smart, calm, and will take to training very quickly! She is just the sweetest girl!   Meet Sampson, a stunning and sweet 6 year old Anatolian Shepherd.  Sampson is a very friendly boy, loves people and lots of affection.  A real cuddle bug.  He likes the company of other dogs and would love a female furry companion.  He is also good with cats with proper introductions.  Sampson is always up for an adventure; he enjoys walks and gets super happy to go on car rides.   Sampson’s mom is looking to find him a wonderful loving home.  She is moving to a senior community out of state and is heart broken to have to give him up.  Sampson is an indoor dog but loves to be outside during the day.  Sampson is a big boy at 100 lbs. and would like a secure fenced in yard of his own to enjoy.  Although Sampson is a gentle giant he doesn’t realize his size and would prefer a home with children over 16 years old.  Sampson is located near Holly Ridge.   Sampson is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, on monthly heart worm and flea preventative.  If you are interested in this wonderful beautiful boy, please contact Denise at deniselspencer53@gmail.com    Blue Moon Shepherd Rescue only adopts to applicants in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.  If you are interested in being considered to adopt this dog, please fill out an online application by clicking here.   January 3, 2026, 9:20 pm

Story
Leia is a special girl, we adopted her when she was about 11 weeks old. She is extremely sweet, loving, and loves to be around her people. She is not aggressive at all with people, she does not bite, growl, or chase people at all. She is very playful and does not know her size. She loves to cuddle in bed or the couch. She does not do well with small animals. Larger dogs are ok with proper introduction. We unfortunately cannot keep her as we are a military family and just got orders overseas. We have a total of 3 dogs and cannot take more than two. She will come with her XXL crate, some toys, some outfits, and a few weeks worth of food to acclimate to whatever diet you’d provide her.
