Story
Bruno is a big, lovable guy with all the charm of a puppy still figuring out his long legs. He’s reportedly crate trained and will politely whine to let you know when he needs to go outside, which shows he’s already working on good manners. Bruno has lived successfully with children, adults, and even a cat, making him a great candidate for a variety of homes. He may be a little unsure about hugs and close cuddles at first, but once he’s settled, his sweet and gentle nature shines through. He does well once he’s in the car and is ready to head off on new adventures with his future family.

Story
Sven is an incredibly handsome fella who was spared from death row on his final day at the shelter. He is THE most LOVING big hunk ever! Happy, exuberant, very sensitive, playful, gooberhead personality. Great with kids— we walked the mall with him after picking him up, and he was appropriate to kids of all sizes, allowing them to pet him. He is a lot of energy and needs an active home that will take him out on a regular basis and give him lots of exercise. He is great on a leash and loves to go on walks and car rides and hikes. He is House trained and crate trained, and has very good manners. At night, he likes to snuggle with you on the bed and hold onto your arm and bury his nose into your neck. He is an absolutely lovable load! He plays great with all the dogs in his foster home! He always carries a ball around outside hoping for another round of fetch! Fenced yard required. Cat testing available upon request. Contact Kristin via email at irondawgs13@gmail.com for adoption application.

Attention: This is a courtesy posting only! This pet is NOT available through Mountain Pet Rescue.  Please do NOT contact MPR for information about the pet or apply to adopt this pet on the MPR website.  Email shaestorm16@hotmail.com or text 828-280-6844 for more information or to adopt the pet.Kylo is a male Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix. 5 3/4 years old.  He is extremely intelligent, affectionate, gentle, playful & sweet. He loves to play keep away/chase with socks, gloves, slippers, even tissues, which he always gives back unharmed. He loves to sleep next to me. Loves to protect me.He is an exceptionally gorgeous creature. He gets lots of attention and compliments wherever we go because he is so very handsome. He loves to ride in the car, but will bark at other large dogs he sees on the street. He is friendly with kids & grown humans; he is good with small dogs & cats & will even share his food! His best friend is a chihuahua who is not even as big as Kylo's beautiful bushy tail. He is reactive to larger dogs.Kylo is easily controlled on leash until distracted by other dogs, then he will bark & pull. He once barked at a statue of a lion in a driveway :). He does not like moving cars and will lunge at them if they pass too closely. I do not often walk him on the street. He needs a fenced yard.Kylo's ancient breeding is to be a protector. He feels it is his job to guard the perimeter and would do this routinely when we had a big fenced yard. His bark is deep and loud, which he uses tocommunicate & is his first line of defense when he is on alert to something.Kylo needs a person(s) he can give his heart & unfaltering loyalty to.  He also needs a fenced in yard so he can run & play... hopefully with no neighbors close by who might object to protective barking.  He is a such beautiful guy....a beautiful Soul. Given the appropriate environment for us to live, I would NEVER be seeking to re-home. He is a very special, very loved dog. He deserves a really happy life, which I just cannot provide for him right now.Email me at shaestorm16@hotmail.com or text me at 828-280-6844 to learn more about sweet Kylo. All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.
