Morgan is a little shy at first because humans let her down. She does warm up with a little coaxing and enjoys petting and ear scratches. She is beginning to open up and play but will need love and patience to get her to her full potential. She is very smart and will learn quickly. She is crate trained and learning to walk on a leash.

Story
Myers is a large and lively German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as his paws! He was found on a rural County Road in Northeast Texas on 8-5-23. He was not wearing a collar, and had not been microchipped. We have confirmed he was intentionally abandoned by his former owners. Estimated to be about 2 years old, Myers has a big personality and love of adventure, making him a great fit for an active person who is ready to make him the center of their world. His fluffy coat (which he loves having brushed) and big, sweet face will charm anyone he meets. Myers is friendly, adaptable, and quick to love. He is crate-trained, potty-trained, & leash-trained, although he is still working on his leash manners when it comes to pulling. Because of his size, Myers can be tough to physically manage and will need someone able to meet the physical demands of such a large and strong dog. Myers is always enthusiastically ready to load up in the car, and you will definitely be laughing when you see him chase water from the hose. We aren’t sure how Myers feels about cats or children. Given proper introductions Myers gets along with other dogs, however he would likely be best suited having other large-breed dogs as playmates simply due to the risk of injury due to his size. We do know that Myers is not a fan of cows, so he would not be a good fit for a home with livestock animals. We know this is a big ask, but Myers is a big guy who’s deserving of big miracles. His foster/finder is willing to personally transport Myers to you if needed. We would love to talk with you more about this giant floofball of a dog. Story
LOCATION: Springdale, ArkansasDOB: 04/14/2020Today will be the day you look back on and remember the first time you laid eyes on the big and the bold and the beautiful Miss Avery. This Anatolian/Dane mix is not only a stunner, but as sweet as can be.Avery had spent some time in a shelter before going to her amazing foster home where she is now coming into her own, learning new things and having great experiences. She is housetrained and does well on the leash. She prefers not to walk by streets as passing vehicles make her nervous. Treats are a good motivator and her basic training has been ongoing. Avery is respectful of furniture and has not tried to jump up onto her foster momma's bed or couch. She knows “Kennel” and she will now go into her crate during the day just to spend some quiet time on her own. When she is unsupervised, her kennel is her go-to spot as she finds unchewables around the house very fun to chew on. Shoes Beware! She currently does not have any human foster siblings but she does get to hang out with a 3 year old granddaughter who she does great with. And she has two furry dog siblings and they get along famously. Being around other dogs is a no-brainer for her. She interacts and plays well with everyone and has shown no signs of resource guarding. Cats are a mystery and her response to them has varied from scared silly to wanting to play chase. This darling of a lady is enjoying her new found freedom, out of the shelter world and into the arms of loving fosters. But she is ready to take on a new adventure, finding a family to call her own. ========================= To apply to adopt me, please fill out the application form! https://form.jotform.com/51994996709176 .For more information, please email us at rescueme@srgdrr.org.
