A dapper fella with a charming half-tail, Tucker is a chill guy with a live-and-let-live attitude. He bonds tightly to his person once they've shown themselves worthy. A safe and quiet life is at the top of this boy's want list. Then he can really open up and show his fun side, which includes an adorable play bow! Story
Andre has never met a stranger, and he met many people after being abandoned at an apartment complex. Everyone loved him, but nobody could keep him - so we are helping him continue his search for a true family. Andre's best home is pretty much any home, as he loves all people and knows his basic commands already! He is fun loving but also loves lap time and some good cuddles in front of the tv. He enjoys other dogs and can match well with a dog companion who understands his vocal play style. ***Our pups don't tell us who their parents are - BREED is a GUESS*** ~ Est DOB: Nov 2021~ Intake weight: 48# ~ Adoption details/application: calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlDecember 22, 2024, 7:03 pm

Story
Lady is about 2/3 years old! She is sweet and gentle. She is the perfect balance of playful and calm. She came from a sad situation. She is skittish around men because her previous owner was an elderly man who had dementia and in one incident accidentally poured hot coffee on her. He later then surrendered her to Summits Sanctuary. Because of her past, she is shy and scared of new people (especially men) but will warm up to you with love and patience! She is completely house trained and is spayed and up to date with all her vaccines. She LOVES playing with our puppies and almost every dog she meets. Please give this sweet dog a home and show her what love is. Adoption fee $200 (chipped, fixed, updated on shots)   Please visit our website www.summitssanctuary.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

Story
Gabrielle is a 2 year old female Australian Cattle Dog mix, who is a snuggler, a cuddler, and everything sweet! She would love to be your favorite companion and cuddlebug. Gabrielle might be a little shy at first, but it doesn’t take long to fall in love with her sweet gentle nature. When taken out to the fenced-in park, she enjoys exploring all of the interesting scents. And then she always comes back to you with her tail wagging, showing you just how happy she is to be by your side. Gabrielle would probably be best as the only dog of the household, but don’t worry - she has more than enough love to give all on her own! On the other hand, she does seem ok with nearby cats and simply shows mild curiosity about them. Gabrielle would make a perfect companion for movie night, where she could be snuggled up close to you. So if you are ready to welcome a super sweet and loving pup into your life, Gabrielle is the one for you! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Story
Kona is the sweetest, cuddliest girl, is extremely loyal and loves to be a companion. She’s ready for any hike or adventure, but also loves to chill and cuddle inside with her family. She has lived her life with us on 17 acres of land, she loves chasing squirrels and herding the four wheeler. She grew up with a cat, but is picky with dogs she likes. She needs a home with land and no children, with someone who’s experienced with cattle dogs. She’d be a great addition to any person who’s looking for a companion dog. She was born with hip dysplasia that she has to take daily supplements for, along with the occasional pain medicine. She is not friendly to children, she also has reactivity to handling due to a traumatic vet incident. She has never hurt us but she is very communicative with her discomfort, she needs someone who can read dog cues and body language. We would have kept her her whole life, but we are no longer child free, and want her to be somewhere she can thrive.

Story
Meet Koda, a 1-year-old Heeler mix! Koda has reached her mature weight of around 50 pounds, and she sports a short white and black ticked coat. Koda is a very sweet dog who came into our care with 6 tiny puppies that she was thrilled to nurture. She does well on a leash and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Koda is a very calm and well-mannered dog who loves attention. She is very loving and will follow you around wanting pets. Adopt Koda and let her fill your life with love. (ME, 10/5/24)**It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption fee: $395 covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip, and an Alabama State Health Certificate. Transport, if needed, is $160. We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. Adoption fees for Hope dogs and those who have been at rescue for prolonged amounts of time are reduced to $150 plus a $100 transport fee, as notated in their listings.January 2, 2025, 4:19 pm

Story
We're not saying he's a cliché, but if you know Shepherds, you know a lot about Ranger! He is a super smart boy who likes to have a job to do. He'll keep himself occupied if you don't. But if you are a 'shepherd person' looking for a buddy for chores, games, or even sports, Ranger is looking for you. He has received professional training and proven himself to be treat motivated and a fast learner ready to try new things. He's solid on his basic commands and hoping for bigger and better challenges. He also loves squeaky balls. Because he is very selective about dog friends,  it is best he live in an only-pet home.    ***Our pups don't tell us who their parents are - BREED is a GUESS*** ~  Est DOB:  Nov 2018 ~  Intake weight:  55#  ~  Adoption details:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlNovember 1, 2024, 11:11 pm

Story
Dex is a handsome floof with a world-class head tilt and spectacular smile! He loves his outdoor romps and likes to chase toys. Bring them back? Not so much - but he's learning. Dex likes to have a person around more often then not, making him a perfect work-from-home friend. He prefers his dog friends be of the 'hanging out together' variety, not the 'in your face' variety.  ***Our pups don't tell us who their parents are - BREED is a GUESS*** ~  Est DOB:  Feb 2021 ~  Intake weight:  38#  ~  Adoption details:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlNovember 1, 2024, 11:11 pm
