Story
Hello! My name is Pepper, and I'm on the hunt for my furever home and a human to love and play with. I'm an adorable young female pup with lots of energy and a curious nature. I love nothing more than to play and run around all day, and I'm always up for a good adventure. I'm an affectionate and friendly dog, but I'm a bit funny and can be a bit of a joker at times. I'm sure to keep you entertained with my silly antics. I can't wait to impress you with my wit and charm! Now, a little about my background. I'm not sure how I got here, but I've been told that I'm going to make someone a wonderful companion, so that someone is you! If you have a dog, I'm willing to give them a chance, too. Let's see if we can be friends. I just need someone who can give me all the love I deserve. If you think you can give me the love and care I need, please call to schedule an appt to meet me today 256 362 5856. My adoption fee is $110. The adoption fee covers one set of vaccines including rabies, vet exam, spay, fecal and general dewormer.

A dapper fella with a charming half-tail, Tucker is a chill guy with a live-and-let-live attitude. He bonds tightly to his person once they've shown themselves worthy. A safe and quiet life is at the top of this boy's want list. Then he can really open up and show his fun side, which includes an adorable play bow! He likes playing with female dogs but is a grump with other males.  ~  Est DOB:  Aug 2011 ~  Est weight:  50#  ~  Adoption details/application:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlJuly 23, 2024, 11:58 am

Story
Andre has never met a stranger, and he met many people after being abandoned at an apartment complex. Everyone loved him, but nobody could keep him - so we are helping him continue his search for a true family. Andre's best home is pretty much any home, as he loves all people and knows his basic commands already! He is fun loving but also loves lap time and some good cuddles in front of the tv. He enjoys other dogs and can match well with a dog companion who understands his vocal play style.   ~ Est DOB: Nov 2021~ Intake weight: 48# ~ Adoption details/application: calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlJuly 23, 2024, 11:58 am

Story
Gizmo and babbit are almost 5 months old. They have 2 other brothers that I also took in, a breeder dumped the entire litter as well as the mother on my property. We’ve had them for past two months, he is very gentle. Sweet and smart. He loves to play with his brothers and outside. I listed them as “special needs” due to their breed, they are high energy and naturally herd and nip. With that however, they are the most durable dogs who want to hike and ride in the car with you 25/7.

Story
Meet Redmont, an Australian Cattle Dog/Pittie mix named after the Birmingham neighborhood he wandered as a stray dog for at least a week, capturing the attention of all the residents. After outsmarting many neighbors who tried to catch him, he was finally captured when he followed another dog into a fenced-in yard. Although he was very scared of humans at the time, his love of other dogs helped lead him to a better place. 🐾 He’s been in a foster home for 9 months now, and with the help of professional assistance and dedicated foster parents, he has transformed from a skiddish dog scared of humans into a dog who will approach people with his tail wagging.🐕‍🦺 His foster parents find it remarkable that even though he was so scared of them, he never once growled or snapped at them. He’s a very gentle, sweet dog who plays really well with the other dogs in his foster home. He would love to be adopted into a home with another dog, and would be fine with another dog who is more of the alpha. He’s looking for guidance from the other dogs around him, and he will walk away when another dog corrects him. He may look muscular and tough, but he’s really a softy.  Redmont is estimated to be about a year and a half old. When he plays with other dogs, you can really see his youthful energy. But after playtime, he’s happy to chill and take a nap. This smart boy is completely house trained! Redmont loves going for walks, and walking was one of the biggest factors in his transformation. He is looking for an active family that loves walking as much as he does, and he would prefer a fenced-in yard where we can safely run and play.  Redmont’s foster mom wanted to document his journey for all the neighbors who became so invested in him, so she created an Instagram account (redmont_the_dog) for the neighbors to follow his progress. Please check it out if you want to get a better sense of how he has transformed into the special dog he is today. 🫶
