Story
Mate is a beautiful, loving and very intelligent Australian Cattle dog. ((Photo: left) He belonged to my parents, Dave and Sally, who have both passed away recently, so I’ve been caring for Mate, and Matilda (Mate & Matilda. They are bonded, so I would like if they could be adopted together. They have already suffered the loss of their pack, so having them remain together is optimal. Matilda (Photo: right) is a beautiful, very sweet Australian Kelpie. Both Mate and Matilda need a lot of love,, and room to roam! They are both living, but Matilda tends to need extra loving. She wants to be a lap dog! I would keep both of them myself, but I have two of my own, plus a cat. Matt and Matilda just need a loving home, preferably together, but I understand that may not be possible. I am hoping for them, though, to find that home where they fit in like family, together.

Story
Moose is a very sweet and loving boy with LOTS of energy. He would be great somewhere with lots of property or a very active owner. He is a natural protector of his home but not quick to be aggressive. He goes out to parks without problems and I know he will be even better behaved once he's able to burn more energy on a regular bases. He would make a great worker dog if someone was able to train him, as he is a very intelligent dog. He has done well with most kids but I don't have complete confidence around children under 10 as he hasn't been around them much. He loves to give hugs and has so much love to give. Once he becomes attached to his person he wants nothing but their love. I wish I could keep him, but am unfortunately being forced to downsize and won't have the option to keep him and he deserves more than apartment life while I work full time. Moose is truly a wonderful dog.

Story
Meet Rocky! Rocky is the last Park Fire dog in our shelter. We were never able to locate his family after the fire, and unfortunately he tested positive for heartworms. Rocky will be undergoing treatment for the heartworms over the next few months, and will need to be kept quiet during that time. That means strict crate rest for this happy boy! We will send his foster with enrichment toys to keep his brain busy while being crated. Rocky is around 3.5 years old, social, loves other dogs, and treat motivated.Rocky’s heartworm treatment will take around 3 months. Please let us know if you are able to foster Rocky! A generous donor has sponsored part of Rocky`s adoption fee.
