Story
Luna is roughly an 8 month old red heeler kelpie who needs plenty of love, affection, and care. She’s energetic, and loves to cuddle just as much as she loves to play. She’s also a bit nippy, but heelers will heel right? Her story started when she was rescued from a shelter in 2025 by her previous owners, but unfortunately they had to say goodbye since they were not able to relocate her to their new home. My family recently took her in as they were looking for a new puppy, and we were so thrilled and happy to have her. She is the most sweetest dog we’ve ever come across. However, her primary caregiver had a serious, unexpected injury and Luna is unable to receive the proper care she needs. I have taken her in momentarily until she finds a loving, forever home. We’re so sad to let her go and wish that she doesn’t have to go through this again. She’s moved between too many places and too many people for only being 8 months old.

Story
Meet Derby Sherman McDougal! This one-year-old Kelpie mix is a certified goofball with the happiest smile around. He’s always ready to play, but don’t worry—he’s not over the top with energy. Derby is just as content hanging out by your side as he is going for a walk, and he’s a dream on the leash (seriously, a perfect 10/10—always slack). Derby would make the ultimate “go everywhere” buddy. He’s friendly with other dogs, not aggressive, and loves being part of the action. With his impressive ability to jump straight up in the air, he could also be a star in agility—but don’t worry, he’s not an escape artist, just a pup who likes to show off his tricks. This smart boy already knows “sit,” is fully potty trained, and will be neutered on Thursday 10/2. He’s also microchipped, vaccinated, and ready to roll. Once on the euthanasia list at a shelter, Derby is now so excited for his second chance—and even more excited to find his forever family. Could it be you? ##2527256##

Story
Back in 2023 four puppies found their way to our property. We contacted the shelter and offered to foster them in hopes that they would be reconnected with their owners. No owners ever came forward and so the shelter took all four puppies. Two found immediate homes and we adopted the remaining two and named them Bandit and Shadow. They are very smart, very loving, very vocal, high energy dogs. They did well on our property up until recently. A few months ago we got new neighbors. Our new neighbors are a community of a dozen individuals who come and go all day and night and they brought with them seven small dogs. What used to be a field between our property fence and the neighbor house is now a parking lot of cars and food trucks and the neighbor dogs run up and down our fence line tormenting Bandit and Shadow. Bandit and Shadow deserve a peaceful property to live on. They deserve a home that can provide them lots of attention and interaction. We can no longer provide this, can you?

Story
This beautiful puppy was found on the side of a busy road with their siblings. We are not sure of the breed, but it looks very much like a Cattledog mix, which will be medium-sized when fully grown. Their story is one of both heartbreak and survival. The puppies had clearly been abandoned, left with no food, no shelter, and no one to keep them safe. Tragically, one of their siblings didnt survivestruck by a passing car before help could arrive. The surviving puppies were frightened and unable to fend for themselves. Fortunately, a kind person picked them up. When they arrived here, they relied on each other for comfort and were so scared. But in a very short amount of time, with the love and care of our staff, these resilient pups began to recover. Slowly, their tails started to wag and their playful spirits emerged. Today, each of them has a chance at the happy, safe life their sibling never got to experience. Their journey is a reminder of the harsh reality many animals in our community face, but also of the incredible resilience and hope that can grow when compassion steps in. He weighed 37 pounds on intake. $350.00 adoption includes the surgery, vaccinations, and microchipping.
