Story
Meet Nibbler, the sweetest girl you’ll ever meet. She is incredibly affectionate, loves giving kisses, running around the backyard, cuddling with soft blankets, plush toys, and even napping in fresh laundry. She’s playful, energetic, and has so much love to give.In her five years with us, Nibbler has never shown food, toy, or water aggression or been aggressive toward people or other animals. Recently, while we were away, she was involved in an altercation with our other dog. We don’t know what happened, but it was completely out of character. This has been a heartbreaking decision. With a toddler at home, we can’t risk another incident. We believe Nibbler would thrive as the only pet in an active home with a fenced yard and older children. She deserves a family who will love her as much as we do, and that’s all we want for her.

Story
Tracy is a 4 year old red heeler. Shes my first baby and it breaks my heart I have to rehome her but I’m going through a divorce and can’t bring her back to California with me. Shes so smart she knows sit, stay, come, lay down, spin, sit pretty, and doesn't pull on leash. She does have 1 extra toe lol, she’s crate trained as well as house trained. She has redirected aggression, so if she’s overwhelmed or stressed she may bite another dog. I would want her in a home ideally with older kids and no dogs, or atleast big dogs. She prefers the attention on her anyways lol. I want to be as open as possible to ensure she gets the right home. I hope you give me updates on her and in any case you can’t keep her I’ll come get her. She will protect you, she’s friendly with everyone but when I lived with my abusive ex she did attack him when he hit me. She gets along with men but will likely bond the most with the women of the house. Shes the sweetest girl give her a chance 💜

Story
This beautiful boy is Benji! Benji is a 5-year-old Australian Cattle (Red Heeler). He loves to run, play in the sand and water! Benji is amazing at fetch. He also walks well on leash. Benji will make a wonderful addition to any family. He also does well with other dogs. Australian Cattle dogs can be a high energy breed. As a result, Benji’s new family must be able to provide him with daily physical and mental stimulation. Benji would love to have a large yard to play in. Interested in playing fetch with Benji? Story
Hi there! I'm Orca. I was originally found as a stray by the county shelter. The shelter environment there was starting to stress me out, so my VOCAL friends thought a change in scenery might help me out! I'm an energetic boy who loves to play. I'm super sweet, but I definitely need a good outlet for my energy! I love to play and be rowdy with other dogs. Give me some long walks and playtime and I'll be a happy guy!

Story
Hi! I'm Corn Cob. I came in as a stray at the county shelter. When VOCAL met me, I was the county's office dog and they just fell in love. It was hard not to, cause I'm the sweetest boy! I'm also so smart, I did a bunch of commands for them and then practically fell asleep in someone's lap, so I made it a pretty easy decision. Since I'm a smart guy, I definitely need to go to a home where I can keep my brain occupied and have an outlet for my energy. I love to play, run, and am also good with other dogs!

Story
Possum Pete is one of 5 dogs that were surrendered to our rescue when their owner had to be taken to a nursing home. They are all decompressing at the rescue and learning how to trust others. Pete is such a quiet, calm, friendly and affectionate senior that would be a wonderful family pet. He appears to be an Aussie mix, about 10 years old, and weighs about 14 lbs. He gets along wonderfully with the other dogs in the rescue. He has been neutered, given a full dental with complete blood work, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $70 to reimburse our transport fee. Applications to adopt are at kathisk9s.org Meet greets are scheduled only for approved applicants

Luna is a 16 year old Aussie mix who was found as a stray in north Florida and was sent to their animal control facility, but no one claimed. Her microchip was implanted 16 years ago so we have no information at all about her life. Shelters are no place for senior dogs. While she's been in our rescue she has gotten along wonderfully with all the other dogs. She adores attention and affection. She's so quiet and calm she could fit in anywhere. Luna is spayed, chipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $50. Applications to adopt are at kathisk9s.org Meet greets are scheduled only for approved applicants
